Personal Entanglement
Several months ago Thorne hired Riley as an escort. They fell hard for each other and ultimately made their relationship personal rather than professional. Every moment they spend in bed is pure bliss, but good sex can’t solve all their problems as they struggle to make things work between them. Thorne convinces Riley to move in with him, but their differences in age and income weigh more heavily on Riley once they share a home.

Greg's narration was perfect as expected, Thorne was his usual self but Riley ruined the story. It was like he had a personality transplant and was given a whiny teenager's personality.

It’s really no secret that I am a Thorne and Dash fan. I really loved the first instalment of this series so much.
That being said, it saddens me greatly to have to say that the second instalment of this series didn’t give me the same butterflies and excited squeals.

What the F*/% happened to Dash/Riley??
From the moment Dash stepped over Thorne’s threshold in the first instalment he had me CAPRIVATED! I LOVED him. I loved his self assurance and his “take-control” attitude.
I LOVED how he took the time to get to know Thorne. How he unravelled him and made him “human”
Where the hell was all that in this story? Because to me it felt like Dash/Riley went:
Thorne stayed his usual pushy self. (I still loved him for it) but somewhere between page one and THE END Riley totally derailed.
I still don’t understand all the drama. I might be alone in this confusion but to me he had a whole 180 degree turnabout on his personality and I’m not so sure I liked the “new” Riley all that much.
Don’t get me wrong. I understand that life doesn’t just go about being Roses and sunshine. I totally understand the “pride” aspect and I understand wanting to be equal. But I don’t understand HOW YOU WANT SOMEONE TO TREAT YOU AS AN EQUEL IF YOU ACT LIKE A TEENAGER????
This whole fiasco made me notice the age difference between the MC’s in a negative light for the first time.
Still enjoyed the read but it was a hell of lot frustrating at times. Sorry to say.

What a series! This author does an amazing job with these two characters and their relationship. The factors which come into play: their age-gap, financial disparity, and life goals, weave seamlessly through the plot and come back in different ways as the story progresses. It has been really interesting watching it all develop. I'm loving it!
Also, the beautiful voice of Greg Boudreaux (Tremblay) narrating this book has added so much to these guys. I'm crying that the third in the series isn't available in audio (no idea why) I'll have to break down and actually read it ;P

3 stars. Maybe a bit less. I just couldn't get into this book. Sylvia Violet usually balances kink and affection and romance just the way I like. I just didn't buy it here and I found myself pretty annoyed by both MCs. Will I read book 3? Don't know yet.

Logically, I know that if you're going to write a sequel for a book in which the characters ended with a satisfying HFN, you're going to need to throw a monkey wrench into their lives in order to give you some plot to work with for the second book. Still... I couldn't help but be saddened by Dash and Thorne's squabbling in this one. Life isn't easy, and there would realistically HAVE to be growing pains in a relationship between a older rich guy used to getting his own way and a young, stressed out former rent boy who is confronting many big life changes all at the same time, but... their arguments and misunderstandings and relationship stress gave me a bit of a stomachache and so I didn't find this book nearly as enjoyable a reading experience as the first.

Book two of Thorne & Dash flew right off the page with more erotica than I thought I could handle...nah, that was a joke. Never too much. I LOVE the interaction between Thorne and Dash/Riley and could basically feel the sizzle with every page turned. My guys gave as good as they got and had no issues turning the table on each other.
However, when it comes to independence, there was a lot of struggle that extended from book one Professional Distance . This a must read in order to understand the dynamics of this C.E.O. and former rent boy.
Was he already regretting this upheaval in his controlled life?
Thorne and Riley are now in a committed relationship and it is far more a struggle than both of them can imagine. Thorne has mellowed some from book one. He has learnt to stop and smell the roses. He wants Riley with him, in his home and continues to show his lover why being together is such a good thing.
And him loving me is part of the problem.
Riley -- too set in his ways and feeling as if he is going to lose himself by being dependent on Thorne, puts up a fight at every turn. Riley totally made me scream out loud during my reading. He was just so independent and stubborn. But when he took a long, slow breath and accepted help, I screamed and yelled "Thank You! Finally!" to the chagrin of my spouse.
I am ecstatic that through friends, family and plenty stop, drop and release, my guys got the HEA they both deserve. I highly recommend reading this series. And book three is coming! I am anticipating this, as Marc, Riley's best friend deserves his story being told.

4.25 stars. Personal Entanglement starts up right where Professional Distance (the first book in the series) ended. Riley / Dash is no longer an escort and is now living with Thorne, starting culinary school and trying to find a good balance in his life. But for Riley old insecurities crop up:
The sex, oh dear gawd, is as abundant and blisteringly steamy as ever and let's just say you may never feel quite the same about icing again. But while Riley and Thorne have no trouble with defining roles in the bedroom, outside the bedroom it's another matter. Thorne wants to use his money to buy things for Riley and Riley hates feeling that he is losing control of his life.
Compared to Professional Distance, I felt the plot was a bit heavy with additional subplots (Riley and Susan cater a museum party, Marc and Darius meet and set up a subplot for the next book in the series?) and at times the flow of the book seemed to bog down with Riley and Thorne each wanting to communicate their feelings, but never quite doing so. But the ending brings everything together so beautifully as Riley and Thorne realize "We have plenty of time. "Forever?" Riley couldn't believe he'd dared to say the word, but Thorne's happiness was more than obvious. "Yes, that is exactly what we have." I'm looking forward to the third book in the series, coming in late 2016.

I really loved the tenderness here, and how closely Thorne listened to Riley, and tried—almost all the time—to do exactly what Riley asked. Naturally, these guys make mistakes, and overstep boundaries, but their love is never in question. They are so in sync with their love, and their sexytimes, but they struggle to express themselves verbally. This is particularly problematic regarding Riley’s future business plans, but is rather easily remedied. I loved how they took a *brief* break to reassess their relationship because it gave them so much appreciation for each other—and allowed them to really work at being better partners. These guys are so filled with love for each other, I cringed over every single misstep. Riley recognizes that his pride is a major stumbling block to his happiness, and the way he handles this is mature and endearing, eventually. I do love that the book is written from dual POV, because it would be easy to mistake the motivations of each man if I didn’t have a front row seat in his head, and heart.

4 Stars for Book 2 in Thorne & Dash Series
This is book 2 in "Thorne and Dash" series and it picks up right where book one left off. Thorne and Dash/Riley are moving in together, Dash is no longer an escort and spends most of his time as Riley ..only taking on his Dash personality when dominating Thorne. This book continues with the hot as hell bedroom scenes and starts dealing with growing pains to be expected when two people move in with each other after only knowing each other a short time.
I enjoyed watching these two MC grow as both individual characters and as a couple, both making mistakes and learning from them. It made the story more realistic and enjoyable. If you enjoyed book one and all the sexy times never fear Riley & Thorne still know how to set the bedroom on fire!! We get to see a bit more of the supporting characters in this book and watch our MC interact outside the bedroom. There is one more book coming in this series from what I have read and I can only imagine it will be a happily ever after for Thorne and Dash and they will have earned it.

What did you love best about Personal Entanglement?
The way that no matter what the challenges were, neither Thorn or Dash was willing to give up or walk away. Even if there was a break down in communication a couple of times, they pushed through.
What other book might you compare Personal Entanglement to and why?
The Arrangement by Felice Stevens. I think there are similarities in the characters and the way the stories are written.
What about Greg Boudreaux’s performance did you like?

Both actually. There were an intense few minutes in the last couple of chapters that got me a little teary eyed. But sometimes, these two really make me laugh.

Fantastic addition to the series. I liked that the Author put up road blocks and obstacles that Thorn and Dash had to work past to make their relationship stronger. The passion is there, has been since day one, they have to work on communication and give and take. Dash doesn't want to take anything from Thorn, he feels it be like Thorn was buying his love. Thorn just wants to take care of Dash and though he does rash and/or foolish things sometimes, his heart is in the right place.
Boudreaux's performance was boisterous, electric and sensual, as usual. He truly brings the characters to life and not just with words and syntax... he puts real emotion into the words and makes the reader feel what the characters are feeling. He needs to hurry the hell up and get book 3 done so I can listen!

What a great follow up to Professional Distance and it was a lot of fun being back with Thorne and Dash.
Book 2 picks up immediately from Book 1 and Thorne and Dash are taking the huge step of moving in together. Dash finds that packing up and moving his belongings is the easy part – the unpacking, the feeling of being where he should be and any feelings of being settled are much more difficult and from the start there is a new strain on their relationship.
If all Dash had wanted was a sugar daddy then things would have been easy. The fact that he is fiercely independent and uncomfortable with Thorne’s wealth means easy is never going to happen. Thorne is set in his ways, he wants to give everything to Dash and doesn’t understand how that makes his partner feel – add in the stress of poor communication and things go downhill quickly.
This book still has the heat of book 1 but it is much more about the men growing up and learning how to live with each other. They must learn to respect the others feelings which is especially difficult for Thorne when all he wants to do is give Dash his every desire. Dash must also learn compromise to better understand the man he has fallen in love with. It’s a slow process for both of them which sees them having to do a lot of soul searching before they find their answers.
The ending was perfect and will hopefully lead us onto a final book where Thorne and Dash will get their happy ever after .It would also be great if we get to see more of Marc and his sexy tailor!

This was a light, sweet follow-up to book one. Thorne and Riley are living together and both are having some trouble getting over being stubborn and uncommunicative. They are still hot and heavy in the bedroom, and it got to be a bit much and somewhat repetitive. I did get pretty hungry at times, especially with the hors d'oeuvres and desserts at the museum. Riley's friend Marc and Thornes sister Kathryn were included more in this book along with Susan, Riley's catering partner. They were needed to attempt to slap sense into both MC's about their inability to vocalize their problems with each other. Miscommunication is a common romance trope but it wasn't over anything angsty or traumatic. Each just needed to adjust to living with another stubborn, independent, clueless person. I still don't think they ever had a complete conversation about everything by the end of the book. But they had sex in the middle of it most of the time. Again, not really BDSM, just a couple more sex toys and a little extra spanking and bondage. It was a light, mostly fun read.

love the relationship between Riley and Thorne. The age difference was a compromise for them both, but in the end they both realise the importance of their relationship.

✔ Letto! I nostri ragazzi adesso stanno assieme cercando di consolidare la loro relazione. Si amano tantissimo, nonostante la differenza d'età di 20 anni, e del conto bancario di Thorne. Dash purtroppo e insicuro davanti al patrimonio del suo amato e del perché uno come lui lo voglia come partner. RIley and Thorne have been together for a few montha and take the big decision to move in with one another. Riley is also having issues with his catering college and can't decide what to do.
I love this series because not everything is ok. Both MCs have issues and Riley is stressing over moving in.
We know communication is not great between them but it is something that they are working on,

Wow!
This book is just as intense as the first one.
We see the guys both wondering if the way they DASHed into things was right.
We also see how what they each bring into the relationship is a THORN in it too.
This was an absolutely fantastically written story which I truly loved!!

Loved it! Superbly narrated by Greg. And there's lots left to be explored in a third book for Dash and Thorne. Also looking forward to Darius and Marc's story.

This is the second book in Silvia Violet’s Thorne and Dash series, and likely best enjoyed when read after Professional Distance.
Thorne and Riley met several months ago, when Thorne hired Riley as his Friday night escort. Thorne was closeted at that point, and really enjoyed being dominated by a discreet hired lover. “Dash” was so fantastic at caring for Thorne that Thorne needed him more and more frequently—and they developed a personal relationship, one where Dash dropped his Dom persona and Thorne grew to love aspiring culinary student Riley even more.
In this second book, Riley and Thorne have gone full bore, making their relationship official and moving in together. Riley is attending culinary school, but he’s not loving it. He’s 85% sure that he should just quit school and open a catering business with his mentor and cooking partner, Susan. The thing is, Riley doesn’t want Thorne’s help, and that includes a loan to open the business. Riley wants to make himself successful on his own merit and hard work.
Riley’s already feeling majorly outclassed in his relationship with Thorne, who’s twenty years his senior and so wealthy. Riley feels like he’ll never catch up, or be a relevant, contributing, partner to their life, and Thorne doesn’t know how to handle Riley’s insecurities. I totally identified with Thorne’s desire for them to be happy together, forever. But, Thorne’s fears over Riley deciding hanging with an older man will get, well, old were a little presumptuous. He tries to balance his need to take care of Riley with his tendency to take over, and this leads to problems because Thorne’s not really good at that level of balance. Thorne’s used to making suggestions that are followed, and compromise is not his strong suit.
I really loved the tenderness here, and how closely Thorne listened to Riley, and tried—almost all the time—to do exactly what Riley asked. Naturally, these guys make mistakes, and overstep boundaries, but their love is never in question. They are so in sync with their love, and their sexytimes, but they struggle to express themselves verbally. This is particularly problematic regarding Riley’s future business plans, but is rather easily remedied. I loved how they took a *brief* break to reassess their relationship because it gave them so much appreciation for each other—and allowed them to really work at being better partners. These guys are so filled with love for each other, I cringed over every single misstep. Riley recognizes that his pride is a major stumbling block to his happiness, and the way he handles this is mature and endearing, eventually. I do love that the book is written from dual POV, because it would be easy to mistake the motivations of each man if I didn’t have a front row seat in his head, and heart.
It’s completely an HEA, yet it’s clear to me that we’re going to see more of Thorne and “Dash”/Riley, as well as a spin-off book (or more) featuring Riley’s bestie, Marc and one bossy, British tailor. As for this book, it’s a scorcher. Deliciously sexy as-all-get-out, as well as sweet. I enjoyed the ride and eagerly await the next book.
