Luke is at his wit's end. Another dead end in his pursuit to find out more about his past has him questioning whether all this work is worth it. When a hotel appears in the middle of the National Mall, he's convinced all remaining sanity has deserted him. Instead, he comes to the end of his quest… And the beginning of Adara Kerslake. Hiding away in The Hotel, Adara wants nothing to do with the Cynn Cruors – vampire-werewolf-human warriors. The race she belongs to. She’s safe where she is. It seems nothing will lessen her distrust—until Luke Griffiths appears in the sanctuary and makes her heart take off at a gallop. And that's bad. Very bad. Some secrets have reasons. Some secrets need to come to light. As a new threat emerges that can hurt one of their own, Luke brings Adara to meet the Cynn Cruors. Immediately, Luke is given an assignment that goes against everything he has vowed to never do again. Surrounded by the very Cynn Cruors she had spent her life avoiding, Adara isn't sure she can wait for Luke. It might be time to go. For good. ***CONTENT This story contains adult language and situations intended for audiences 18+ ONLY***

Some stories stay with you forever. Some characters feel like old friends. Isobelle Cate writes both. Her books are full of love that surprises, second chances that feel real, and people who’ve been through heartbreak but find the courage to love again. Every story she tells reminds us that hope is never lost, and love always finds a way.

Her characters are alive, flawed, brave, funny, and achingly human. Whether it’s a sweeping romance or a touch of magic, her stories pull you in and refuse to let go.

Off the page, Isobelle is just as captivating. She’s warm, thoughtful, and a little delightfully quirky someone who loves quiet afternoons with a book, the smell of baking drifting through the house, and the gentle rhythm of crocheting. She lives in Manchester with her family and their tiny, fearless goldfish, Ninja, who somehow makes every day a little more interesting.

Readers don’t just come for her stories, they stay for her heart. Isobelle’s words comfort, inspire, and remind us that even when life feels impossible, love has a way of finding us.

"I lost you once in a bloody fucking crowd, Adara. I'm not stupid enough to lose you again."

It's Christmas and this year the Manchester Faesten is in the full festive swing! They've put aside their weapons, battle plans and hung up their armoured bodysuits. The ladies take control of the fasten-not that the men got much choice in the matter- and for the first time they go all out with Christmas!

Luke Griffiths, is seeking his own shining star hoping it will lead him to the gift of knowing his past and maybe coming across an angel who he would love to unwrap.

"You don't even know me."
"I do. I knew you even before we met."
"That's not possible."
"You think?"

Luke Griffiths, we've been waiting a while to open his story! He's always been a mystery character, with his unique skill, the fact that he doesn't know how he came to be and now he's finally on his own mission to track down his heritage. Luke is also searching for his own mystery woman, not just any woman, but a female Cynn Cruor!

One winter's night Luke feels the pull to unlikely place and finds himself in a hotel for paranormals. Fate has pulled one hell of cracker this time, because who should Luke see from across the bar, well none other than Adara Kerslake. Luke has obsessed over Adara since she disappeared and now they are both staying in the same hotel. The hotel really is a mystery and may also hold more than gift that Luke has been searching for.

Her warrior? Where the hell did that come from?

Adara Kerslake is a beautiful mystery that we've also be waiting to pull the bow off! Adara is the first female Cynn Cruor (that we currently know of within the story) and she is just as strong, skilful, confident and independent as the male warriors. Adara has a history that she keeps closely guarded to her chest, the walls that she keeps around herself are high to protect herself. The last thing she expected was to catch the scent of the male Cynn Cruor that she can't seem to forget. The same male that has awakened the fire within her body, that is yearning to be touched and obeyed by him...

And when she opened her mouth even so slightly, Luke forged through once more as though taking what belonged to him.

Luke & Adara <3 Has anyone got any mistletoe? What a pair these two were, I was excited when I saw that it was Luke's story next, because he's just one of those mystery characters that you makes you wonder who he is and how will his story come into play. Also, the fact that Adara is a female Cynn Cruor is a mystery all within itself and knowing that these two have already met made for a very exciting read! The sparks really do fly between Luke & Adara, both seeking to refill their kinare strength, leads to a heated night that would leave the angel on top of the tree turning red!

That sensation of heat slowly consuming her, making her crave to be held in his arms. Of wanting to belong to someone for all eternity.

Midnight Yule was the perfect Christmas gift under tree to open. Meeting new characters that has brought another element to the story and ties in nicely with the current dilemma. Of course, someone has to spoil Christmas and this time it's not the Grinch, but something more evil minded. A fluttering of snowflake surprises, bows that are tied up tightly, wise/witty/golden lines & scenes, more steam coming the bedroom than the turkey and a sign that they all must follow to fight the storm that is coming.

"He needs someone to be his anchor. Manchester is just his ship. He needs a beacon to guide him home."

This is such a sweet short read. I love this series and was waiting for ages for another Cynn Cruors story. This one is about Luke and Adara. Their fight over finding themselves and the true sense of belonging. I really wish the story was longer because I just did not want it to end. I cannot get enough of this series.

Luke Griffiths has spent time searching for his past in the hope of discovering why he spies on his fellow Cynn Cruors with no regrets, he now takes on any spy assignments for money, but it still does not sit well with him. But now he has another on his mind, the female beauty that is Adara Kerslake, the only female cynn cruor warrior in existence, he can't get her out of his mind since he saw her leap off a building, but she is nowhere to be found, she hides well.

Adara has kept herself hidden from the cynn cruor, thinking herself a freak of nature and guarding her heart from hurt like she lived before... She can't seem to forget the cynn cruor she saw the night she helped save another cynn cruor warrior from certain death. She can't help what she is, but she will not join their ranks either, until she finally meets the dashing and relentless Luke and....Passions flair.

Even though Luke and Adara's story was short I still found it an enjoyable edition to the Cynn Cruors series. Luke has has been searching for answers and he finally gets what he is looking for in the most unlikely of place, a mysterious hotel that appears out of thin air and the chance meeting of Adara while he's there takes an unexpected turn. They get involved while being pursued by the Scatha Cruors.
They start to feel a burning attraction to each other that sizzled on the pages that leads them to end up at the Cynn Cruors in Manchester to celebrate a Christmas that neither is used to amongst a band of loyal warriors and their families.
I love this series as the writing by this author is always so good and the stories are always so exciting and full of danger and intrigue. Another great addition to this brilliant series of immortal vampire/werewolves who protect mankind.
