A Surrogate Love Affair

Rate this book
I never believed in fate. Destiny was something magical, something written in the stars. I was a world away from having that kind of excitement in my life.

I was alone, praying for a baby, that little miracle I could hold in my arms. My husband fought me at every turn, but I knew I would break him down one day. It was just a matter of time.

In the end, fate took the shape of my best friend and her husband, who were desperate for a baby. Desperate for that miracle, that hope, that joy in their lives. I wanted to give that to them. I wanted them to have the family they were striving for.

With my help, they would finally have everything they ever wanted.

On the day I found out their little miracle was coming, fate intervened again. It would turn my world upside down, shattering my life into a million pieces. It was on that day I realised things were about to become really complicated.

It’s not THAT bad, But it’s not that good either. This book is unlike anything I have read by Jaimie Roberts before. And I’m not sure I quiet love it.  The story had some real-life situations, Which many people can relate to. Not me though. I don’t know why, but the writing had *Alexa Riley* kind of vibe to it. It dragged at some points (included details that aren’t needed, Jamie spent too long on thoughts and inner dialogues, And was too short on action.) there was a Lots of dialogues that did nothing to advance the story. The characters were annoying as hell, Alice was a drama queen. Crying all the time. Sara and Kyle irritating D-bags. Ethan was my boo. He’s the only reason I kept reading. My favorite part were the last 30 to 40 Pages. I loved the ending.

72% and I'm out. My eyeballs are bruised from rolling them.

She's a doormat extraordinaire, the ex is an abusive dick, the ex-bestie is a screaming bitch and Ethan is about the only one holding the book together. Manufactured idiotic drama and repetitive forced angst just doesn't work for me.

3* rolleyes STARS!

When a dark author wrote light romance but it still has craziness. Yep, that's Jaimie Roberts. I'm not really interested with this book at first. But after read some reviews and intrigued by the blurb, I'm willing give it a try. Still, didn't enough to WOW me.

The heroine, Alice was too doormat for me. She's hard-working woman and quite amazing with her job but her taste in husband was awful. Alice decided to be a surrogate because her best friend, Sara couldn't get pregnant. Imagined how shock the husbands especially Alice's, Kyle. She's desperately wants child but Kyle refused. Actually he dodged the topic but Alice was too blind to realize that he has zero interest with child.

Sara's husband, Ethan is the hero in this story. He's a doctor and surprisingly calm with the surrogate program. Ethan try to build chemistry between him and Alice because of the baby. He's really smooth man but I have my own prejudice with him.

Of course, there are drama after drama which is predictable. My only problem is because of Alice. She's borderline naive and stupid and blinded by reality. Half of the story really annoyed me with her attitude. Ethan totally save the day from my anger. I think he's the only normal and sane person beside those crazy trios (Alice, Sara and Kyle).

The story was nicely written but really bored me to death if it isn't because of Ethan. Overall, it was decent read but the epilogue managed to surprised me. As expected from the author. The ending is really make sense because shit happen and ruined people's lives.

I thought I was ready for this book. I thought I knew what I was going to read. I thought I had all the answers, but ... I was WRONG!

Yes, it took me down a familiar path and then it veered left, right and straight ahead into a destination I was not fully prepared to visit. I didn't see the sucker-punch coming straight at me until it was too late. Everything I thought I knew about the people in this story was both right and wrong ...

Alice and Kyle are visiting with their friends Sarah and Ethan when the topic of surrogacy is mentioned, and before she can stop herself, Alice volunteers to be their surrogate, using her own eggs. Her husband Kyle is not on the same page for both understandable and (purely) selfish reasons.

As the surrogacy details are outlined, we quickly learn that eight years ago there was a blind date mix-up between the two couples. Alice was supposed to be paired with Ethan and her friend Sarah with Kyle. Because each respective couple hit it off, they didn't correct the gaffe. Sometimes people are who we think they are ... but, oftentimes they have their mask in place and only allow us to see what they want us to see.

From the point of the pivotal moment, the story gets very, very interesting and this is where I will end this review. I will say, don't expect a typical surrogacy story -- at least not completely. This author made me buy into a premise that I normally h-a-t-e.

After you finish reading the book -- go back and re-read the scenes involving one particular character and their scenes will take on a whole new meaning. It was brilliant. Their actions and reactions and the subtle nuances they employed were played beautifully -- like a fiddle. To the victor, goes the spoils.

It reminded me of the last moments in Body Heat (remake of Double Indemnity) where Matty Walker reflects on everything she did to get what she wanted. The patience that is required and the things that have to be done to get to the endgame is not for the faint of heart.

In the acknowledgements the author states it took her a year to write this book and how she wanted time away from writing dark to writing something sweet with a twist. Mission Accomplished!

This my first time reading a book by this author, but it won't be my last -- she's garnered a new fan. Off to to add the rest of her books near the top of my TBR pile.

Oh.. well played.. did not expect the ending by Ethan's pov! WOW. Didn't see that lil twist coming! After reading the ending- It opened up another view for me and I felt the need to re-read the whole damn thing again! LOL!

Anyways, pretty good story.. I was a little "meh" when I read the description of the book, the premise is a lil wacko but its good to read something new once in awhile. Not so familiar about the author, I just read one of her books and tbh didn't enjoy that one, but glad I read this one! She did a good job and I felt the writing is wayyyy better! It kept me interested throughout the story and that's a big plus for me since I get easily bored!

I was a lil "icky" since it has some detailed sex scene with OM (heroine's husband) but I felt like those parts were somehow important to be able to understand her story. I would not change a thing here.. well.. maybe I have a few.. the story kinda dragged a lil bit with unnecessary inner thoughts.. I would have prefer if it has more part of H/h together.. Ohhh and Ethan's pov was short! Would have love to read more from his side. heh!

So overall, would give this a 4 but with that epilogue.. I'm bumping this up to 5 star! As I said, it kept me interested and the plot was unique!

If possible would give this 3 1/2 stars. The beginning started off blah. A lot of sex, but not the kind anyone wants between the heroine, and her husband. Everything started clicking once the surrogacy storyline kicked in. Fairly tame compared to this writers previous books. It was not dark, and that wasn't a bad thing, just unexpected.

Perhaps one of the most unexpectedly conniving obsessed heroes I’ve read. Still waters, indeed.
It’s literally until the epilogue when we find out just what he’s made of.

Despite the interesting trope: h acting as surrogate for her bff and the bff’s husband (who becomes the H), there’s nothing to write home about, really.

The ending was unexpected and dark. He’s been planning their future for years and stayed married to her bff all this time. I feel, though, that the ending took even the author by surprise because it’s not quite consistent with other factors.

Hxh were supposed to meet up 8 years ago for a blind date but due to circumstances they end up with the OW/OM instead
Each couple got married and stayed friends through the years
OW can’t have kids and wants one
OM (heroine’s husband) doesn’t want kids but h does, so she offers to carry her bffs baby
Artificial insemination done,
h finds her husband having sex with her bff
Kicks him out
Then she finds out she’s pregnant

HxOW break up
hXOM breakup
LOTS AND LOTS of drama both sides; both ow/OM damn cray-cray
Hxh get together
The Hero is a gentle sweet good guy (or is he…) and she falls in love with him

The twist at the end is that the H has been stalking the h for about 4 years; he’s that obsessed with her.
He went FAR, very FAR to ensure he got her for himself: as far as falsifying the dna results because the OM said she’s pregnant with his baby. The H wasn’t having it: he refuses to lose the h and he ensures she believes the baby is his. During his planning, the H doesn’t want his wife to fall pregnant by him so he has a vasectomy. Then he has it reversed so that the h can fall pregnant by him now, years later.

He wasn’t always this conniving, though. He genuinely cared about the OW initially, but she cheated on him:

“when I found out my ex-wife was having an affair with a close colleague of mine a few years back, I didn’t get mad. I got even. I knew she wanted a baby, so I invented a story that I needed to go away for a few days on a doctor’s conference. Truth be told, I “went and got a vasectomy. When we started trying and never got pregnant, I invented this other story that she was infertile. I know. I’m a fucking bastard. But then again, I don’t care. Karma’s a bitch, as far as I’m concerned.”

So yes, Mr Nice guy isn’t quite so nice except when it comes to the h and even then it’s questionable.
But he loves her and she comes first and he’s made all her dreams come true…

The storyline and book have easily fallen into oblivion.

The cover character, Alice, appears to be black but behaves like a white lady.

The plot is not particularly interesting. Alice is a sugary character, but she's dumb as a doorknob.

Sarah, her best friend, was definitely a sheisty type from the get-go.

In the case of Kyle, his behavior is similar to that of a drunkard.

Ethan, the doctor and best friend's husband, was just there as a filler at times.

The whole read was tedious, and the characters were just as dull and unrelatable.

What I can tell for sure is that Jaimie never tells the same story twice. Don’t expect “Dark Jaimie” here because you won’t find her.
I would not tell its “Sweet Jaimie” either because there is a twist you won’t see coming in the multiple epilogues that will have you thinking “Oh wow! I never would have guessed. That’s twisted and unnerving”.

So let’s talk about my issues and have them out of the way.

The first 35% I could absolutely not stand Alice, our main female character. I hate doormat heroine and that’s what she was for her @hole of a husband. He was clearly deranged and a sex addict.
Ok she was a virgin when they met but what he did with her was clearly not acceptable. And yet each time she bended. She was self-sacrificing and offering to be a surrogate for her best friend. A Saint you say? An idiot I reply!

So I was mad with the heroine and I could not stand her husband either. I really thought I would not finish this book. Yet I went through and crossed my fingers.

Now at about 35% we go into the nitty gritty of this novel. Finally, something’s happening and it’s suddenly a new ballgame! I won’t say I loved Alice because I did not. I admired her sometimes, I pitied her, I cheered for her but I did not love her. The main reason was even if she stood up for herself she still was too “meek” and soft for my taste. Now tastes are always personal so you might end loving her. I found her too good if such a thing is possible. But that’s who Alice is so Jaimie stayed true to her character.

I loved Ethan, the good doctor. He was nearly too good to be true. And of course Sarah played the evil villain somehow. The one you’ll want to beat up and say “well deserved” for what will happen to her.

What saved the book really was the ending or even better the “after-ending” if it’s a word. I was taken aback and thought “WOW!”.

Now for all my complaint I’ve still read this book in one sitting today. So Jaimie must have done something right again. It’s always the same with me and her books, even those I don’t “love” I can’t stop reading them till the end because she has something that’s always compel me to read.

Now make up your mind with this one ;-)

There's Kyle & Alice and then there's Ethan & Sarah
Two metro couples, friends of each other.
They have family dinners, get togethers and socialise a lot.
Picture book perfect !
But underneath , the marriages are rotting. The relationships stinking. The betrayals poisoning their lives
Kyle is brutal, selfish, asshole of the first degree.
Ethan is kind, selfless, caring to a fault
What happens next ....hmmm....You'd guess everything being very predictable and on track.
Yes, you're right , to an extent. I'd figured out the story track in advance, but it was very engrossing read. Even though it got a bit repetitive and snagged a bit in the middle.
How could all the characters be such Black & White, I didn't get it. Syrupy sweetness....almost gave me diabetes , yanno !
But wait , Jaimie took a spatula , and no she didn't spank my arse with it. She flipped the story over in the effing epilogue!! **gasp**
I was getting a bit distracted in the middle TBH.. but I must say -well done Jaimie *applause*
One tiny thing though .
Ethan YummyDoctor Connor - "I was born in 1981"
That makes him 36
I was born in 1966 , that make me ?!?!?!? ..nvm
WAAAY to make me feel like a pervy cougar . And here I was drooling over him :(
But I'll wear the title if I can get my hands on Ethan ;p

A twisted, angsty story of love, friendship and betrayal!
The story was so twisted and suspenseful it totally blew me away. All along I thought it was going in one direction, and then I got smacked in the head as it was totally different!
What happens when one friend makes the ultimate sacrifice for the other?
Alice and Kyle, and Ethan and Sarah are two married couples who were each going through their own marital issues. Each wants what the other wants, but all being miserable in the process.
As Alice agrees to help her best friend out, she makes discoveries about her husband, her friends and herself she never imagined.
The story unfolded slowly setting the stage for the true climax of the story.
All the characters were realistic and beautifully developed. Alice was equal parts sweet and frustrating as she felt responsible to care for everyone leading her to feel guilty for everyone's issues.
I became more and more intrigued to discover what these 4 people were up to, and then the end was a real "gotcha moment."
I especially enjoyed the secondary character of Sally who was truly devilishly dirty!

A Surrogate Love Affair
by Jaimie Roberts
4.5 Stars

How far would you allow your friendship to go? Would you be willing to help your best friend of 18 years achieve what her and her husband so badly want? What if it’s not what your husband wants? But then again, it’s what you truly want to do……

Kyle and Alice have a different marriage. One sided and his way or the highway…you woman, me man. Kyle takes what is his and gives nothing in return. Alice has only been with Kyle…thinks that his way of treating her is ‘normal’.

Ethan and Sarah have a loving marriage, that is missing the one thing they both desire. A Child.

What a RIDE!!! Just when you think you’ve got this book mapped out and how it will end, BAM! Jaimie has a knack for letting you ride through a book so smoothly…then the Epilogue comes and you are like What The HECK!!! Master planning at its finest!

“I can be your surrogate.” Those were the five words I uttered tonight. Five little words that stunned everyone into an awkward silence.

Alice & Kyle. Sarah & Ethan. Two seemingly perfect couples who appear to be the best of friends. After years of trying for a baby, Sarah and Ethan start contemplating surrogacy. Before anyone can even think too much Alice selflessly volunteers herself to give her best friend of 18 years the ultimate gift of life. A selfless decision for two wonderful people—but what happens when life forces 4 people into a blender?

I just discovered Jaimie Roberts recently and boy have I been missing out! Her stories keep getting better and better. This book was outside my usual genres for sure but it was a phenomenal story! Romance, friendship, betrayal, humor, and serious subjects- this book has it all. I found all of the characters to be extremely well-written and rounded. The characters were almost mirrors of each other; selfless and selfish. This book really pushes the darker side of a person and emphasizes those who truly have the light inside of them.

Alice

I had my suspicions regarding the more major twists but when they did happen I was shocked! Appalled even! I felt so attached to Alice throughout the story that at times I wanted to put the book down because I wanted so much to happen for her and was worried it would be all ripped away! I’m happy to say Alice eventually found her lady balls and become quite the woman.

A Surrogate Love Affair brings to mind so many controversial subjects and would be the perfect book for an ethics debate. It also shows the darker sides of marriage, obsession, and just how far someone will go to obtain what they want. At times you won’t be able to tell who is the villain and who is the hero.

Everyone who lies does it to fit their own agenda. But what if someone does it to fit your agenda? Does that automatically make the lie acceptable?

There’s not much more to say without lessening the experience but I cannot recommend this book enough! Even if it isn’t in your usual genre I’d say give it a go, you won’t be disappointed! 5 HUGE stars xx

Having read quite a few Jaimie Roberts' books now, what I have come to realise is that she writes a really really good story and before you even know it, you've gone and read those final words.
What stops me from rating a maximum 5 Stars is that I often find the dialogue can sometimes come across as unnatural. Take for example, in this book, a discussion between Alice and her best friend takes place. The best friend decides to give a blow by blow account of how to pleasure oneself and whilst that told me what type of character she was, I just didn't feel that it is a conversation that would happen in the way that it did in this book. It felt more like a sex tutorial to me. Again this is something that happened on a few occasions, where the dialogue between characters is used more as tool to explain something rather than show me the personality of that character.

What I adored about this book though, was the fact that it is set in the South West of England, a place I absolutely love. In addition I loved that there was a clearly defined Hero/heroine and also antagonists to really throw a spanner in the works. And whilst I guessed pretty much straight away what was eventually going to happen I did find that the Hero wasn't quite what I had assumed him to be by the end. I'm actually not sure about the way things ended on the whole and yes I get that it is probably more down to my own personal preference, but I also imagine I won't be the only one who feels this way.

So I conclude that the story itself was great and an entertaining read on the whole, but there were just a few issues I had that made it not be the amazing book I know it is more than capable of being.

Can I just start off with saying that the ending sure had a twist to it that I never in a million years expected.

We get Alice who is a kind, loving, caring woman who will do anything for her husband and everything he wants especially when it comes to sexual favors. She submits to him even if she doesn't agree with what he wants.

Kyle is Alice's husband a major jerk. He takes advantage of the fact that he has a great wife who never complains and submits to his every whim.

When Alice decides that she wants to be a surrogate for her best friend and her husband, Kyle goes ballistic and is not happy with her decision.

Alice in order to appease her husband and her friends, she allows her husband to purchase an expensive car just so he can agree with her decision.

When Alice finally gets pregnant through artificial insemination, she's happy that she's going to make her friends happy, except that something that she totally wasn't expecting happens.

Alice ends up being betrayed and she doesn't hesitate to seek a divorce without thinking about it twice. She realizes that she's just not in love with her husband anymore and she can't forgive him.

She now needs to move on and care for this baby growing inside her. Ethan, Sarah's husband is there for her every step of the way in her pregnancy. He's loving and nurturing and everything that Alice wants in a man.

What will happen with Alice and Ethan now that both Sarah and Kyle are out of the picture? Can they turn their friendship to something more on the romantic side or will they stay friends and figure a way to raise this baby?

I totally didn't see this story turning the way it did at the end, but I am thrilled it did because it definitely left a different spin to a book that I'm not used to.

And even though I'm used to reading dark books from this author, she does have a way to manipulate her softer books as well. She knows how to twist and turn the plot and will leave you going WTH in the end (but in a good way)!

I have to say that this book was a 4.5 star read especially because of the ending :)

I’m torn rating this. 2.5 stars. I can understand if you need to DNF early on because it’s simply dreadful. And only slightly gets interesting a third of the way.

We get Alice and her POV the whole way and it’s just boring. She is a doormat but does stand her ground. Finally! Her slimy sex obsessed husband gets what he deserves but is he the puppet master? Best friend Sarah is a selfish drama queen and what is her role? Uber caring husband to Sarah is the long standing rational person throughout. But everything is not what it seems and you will find out all the characters in play and their meticulous planning to get the result they’ve been planning for years. Who’s the father? Who really wants the baby. It becomes a battle. Given 80% of this book puts you to sleep, the last 20 were the most interesting. The saving grace is the epilogue where we get to the brain behind the operation - Another person’s POV. This epilogue! If I didn’t stick it out to the epilogue, I wouldn’t have gotten any satisfaction.

This book was wrong on a number of counts but the biggest being it was wrong for me.

I honestly couldn't wait until I got to the end to see whether any of these characters were redeemable. They weren't.

I love a good Taboo story and I honestly had high hopes for this one but it bombed.

Alice is the best kind of friend. The one who is always there for you, and goes above and beyond for the people she loves. This is no truer than for her long term friend Sarah and husband Ethan. Offering to be their surrogate and help the pair have the child they have longingly wished for.

Excerpt:
I bite my lip, thinking just how unromantic this whole process is. It isn't because I want to get romantic with Ethan, far from it, but I always thought having a baby would be special. This all feels so...impersonal.

But with difficulties in Alice's own marriage, this is just another obstacle for Alice to overcome with the selfish man that is Kyle. Bargaining his wife and her dreams over a car, he is about to lose everything.

Excerpt:
I don't know what it is with Kyle, but I know our relationship isn't exactly a conventional one. It's just funny how it's taken me eight years to figure that out.

I struggled with some of the characters a little, Kyle being one of them. The story was one I haven't read before but had an idea where the plot would go, but Jaimie Roberts definitely threw in a few surprises along the way, keeping the suspense and surprises in store right until the last pages.

As story filled with a lies and deceit and with lies from everyone she deals with, can Alice trust anyone again? With a baby on the way, truths will be brought into question, and she would be pulled in different directions. Prepare to be pulled right alongside her!
The story was a little predictable in the lead up for me, but once I got into it, and by the end, there was a darkness I wasn't expecting and I found myself truly captured by it.

Excerpt:
I know I'm falling for him, which scares me to death. My mind is constantly at war with my heart. I want and need him...the more he's in my life, the more he seems into my heart. I want it to stop and not stop at the same time. I feel lost, not knowing what to do...

I had the pleasure of reading A Surrogate Love Affair by Jaimie Roberts in an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I am giving this book 5 stars because the author did a beautiful job crafting such an amazing story together. What made this book so good is how two couples who are really close end up needing each other but the only problem is can their friendship survive what's about to come their way. It takes a strong woman to carry a baby for someone else even if your doing it for your bestie who you love and adore. I can only image how hard it would be to have to hand the baby you felt kick and grow in your tummy to someone else who will be the child mom. But it says a lot about the woman who does this it just shows what a wonderful person she is, so it sucks that she gets stuck with a husband who is such a big a**hole. So when she finally leaves him I think that was the best part of the story. But of course there is some struggles she goes through like will she end up raising this baby by herself because not only does she not have her husband, but she also lost her best-friend. She finally something she has always wanted to feel a life growing inside her, but this wish came at a cost the question is was this wish worth it if her life feels like it's falling apart. I loved this book because I felt for her being a mother is such a blessing, and I could understand where she was coming for her, and I honestly this baby was a blessing for her because this child made all the bad people leave her life. Its was like the baby changed her to see people for are ugly they truly are. I especially loved the ending of this book because it had a twist that I was not expecting at all. If you love reading Jaimie books then you are going to really enjoy this book.

Let me start by saying I have really liked many of JR's books. They are totally inappropriate on multiple levels with taboo relationships and lots of smut. I like her writing - usually very engaging and I think she has a real talent for describing bedroom scenes.

But...I didn't love this one. I felt like a lot of it was kind of "ewww", with me not liking a lot of the characters and wrinkling my nose during multiple chapters. I skimmed a lot of it and although I kind of liked the epilogue at the end, I wasn't a superfan of the entire story.

It was kind of ridiculous at some points - not going to lie. For example, just the premise of her agreeing to being a surrogate for her best friend and her husband, using her own eggs and his sperm, outside of an official clinical setting -after convincing her own husband by buying him a car. What? Plus - how in the world do you inseminate yourself? The friend's husband just gave her a syringe and left to go to lunch. Kind of gross. I feel icky just thinking about it. How could she be sure he didn't have an STD? How could he be sure she did it properly? YUCK. The whole condom dart situation was also kind of unbelievable. If you shoot a dart through a condom, wouldn't the hole be huge? Wouldn't the lubricant leak out of the package making it obvious it was defective? Who would pick it up and say - oh, this is totally fine, let's go ahead and use it. Or wouldn't it dry out? So not believable. PLUS I wouldn't ever take someone's word for it when it comes to lab results. That's just stupid.

Sorry... can't relive this... LOL. Must move on. If you want a good inappropriate book by JR, "I'm a Creep" is way better. Try that one instead.

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!! I absolutely loved this book. I read it in a matter of a few hours, unable to put it down for even a second. It has been a while since a book has captured my attention like this has, and I actually find it a somewhat hard to move on from this story now. The writing was excellent, the characters developed, and the story was enthralling!

This book is centered around 2 married couples. Sarah and Ethan, who are trying desperately to conceive a child, and Alice and Kyle, who's relationship is completely opposite from their friend's. Alice wants to have children badly, but Kyle isn't ready for that responsibility. So when Ethan mentions that he and Sarah were looking into surrogacy as an option, Alice jumps at the chance to have their baby, not knowing that her decision will change all of their lives completely.

It's really hard to go into the specifics of this book without giving so much away. I can say that this book had me thinking about life and fate and destiny. It told the story of 2 marriages, both of them looking perfect from the outside. Once the book delved into their homes, you realize that everything isn't always what it seems. You never know what someone is going through until you walk a mile in their shoes. And you never what secrets they are hiding in order to get what they want.

I had no idea where this book would take me. I thought I pretty much had it all figured out, a good idea of how the story was going to play out and end. I was so wrong. I was completely blown away with the story. And the epilogue!!! That was definitely a "WTF?" moment! And I loved it! I cannot recommend this book enough!

So, yeah this was different! We were warned it would be so it shouldn't come as a surprise but still........it was! Lol

It wasn't dark though and I love Jaimie's dark reads but I went in with an open mind. The plot was definitely unique, I've certainly never read any other book even remotely similar and when you read as much as us bookish types that's unusual.

I will not spoil the plot but I will tell you Kyle is the biggest douche, he's a most unlikeable character!! Seriously I wanted to reach inside the pages and slap that face!! Alice seemed so sweet and nice but I felt this made her vulnerable because of her kind heart. Ethan and Sara just never seemed right even from the off to me, but Ethan definitely surprised me.

This book has twists!! Let me tell you IT.HAS.TWISTS!!! When Jaimie says expect the unexpected she's not lying! So if you like a romance with a difference, if you love the unexpected twists that will have you on the edge of your seat, if you like a book that gets you thinking and skipping back through the pages to see did you miss something?? This is the book for you.

The ending though, seriously! My mind has been messed with yet again😳
