Lauren Wood loves to read and write about irresistible alpha males who are naughty and dirty. If you like bad boys, sexy neighbors, billionaires, and swoon-worthy romance, you've come to the right place. Her alpha males are strong enough to make the hard decisions in life, but sweet enough to melt for his mate.
She is a big time fashionista, loves trying new hair styles, and if she is not writing, you will find her in a gym working on her body to get the attention of her very own bad boy. *-*-*
This book is so badly written that I really am ashamed to post that I read it. I don't know how I obtained it. It appeared in my downloads. I got it for free and I feel as if the author owes me a gazillion dollars in recompense.
For one thing, it is unreadable because it has not been edited by anyone familiar with the usages of the English language. The misuse of grammar is appalling. If this writer wants people to pay money for her future work, she either needs remedial courses in English or she needs to pay for a high-quality editor.
The characters are cliches, paper dolls without personality. I have to ask is the author really familiar with the lifestyles of billionaires that she caricatures? What makes her bad boy a bad boy? What motivates these people to do any of the things they do? Who lets a total stranger have sex with her without a condom in these days of STDS? What has sex with a total stranger without a condom?
The plot is at best an undeveloped storyline. We are told everything, never shown it. There is no attempt to engage the reader. There is no one with whom the reader can identify or care.
This story has a few grammatically errors that pull you from the story for a second. Also, I felt like there was too much telling and not enough showing that made it hard to really feel much for the characters. But the ending was sweet and I'm glad I took the time to finish.
I was expecting a sexy romance quick read. I wanted to get lost in the book but was so turned off by the writing. It seemed like this book was the first book she wrote. There was no character development. The first few pages had the most details of the whole book. The story jumped around and left nothing to the imagination.
There were a handful of grammatical errors which really confused me.
All of the reviews are spot on. I wanted to like it but just couldn’t. I will try another book from this author. I’m hoping for something better.
This was a little too short for this type of plot which made the story seem unfinished & rushed. I didn't really care for their views being split & I had to read the same scene twice....Her point of view then his point of view. It's fiction so it doesn't have to be an ideal situation, know I think the story has potential. Jess seems to be a good catch instead of a bad boy but the ending was abrupt & the HEA I always look forward to is questionable.
I have to admit I agree with; other readers. Its not the greatest story. We as readers get two hot tease with this couple. But the truth is, it doesn't have a history or a further complications of each person's love for one another. Its just sex, opps got pregnant fool fiancé, tp think its his. After 5 yrs. of married, numerus affairs on Chase's end. He wants to move to NY to build up his career. Ashley doesn't want to leave Arkansas. They decide to get a divorce. Which is when Ashley informs Chase that the child isn't his. He slaps her in public and leaves. Good ridden! Funny Jessica doesn't seem to mid that she doesn't have a father. He never spent time with her.
Ashley is in the process of going to daddy's when her car breaks down. Guess who shows up to assist with the damsel in distress's flat tire. None other than Jess Harris.

This book was bad, and was poorly written.
The female character was unlikable. Why would you be with some one and marry them to please your father? what kind of person makes some one believe they are the father of another mans baby? Her elitist attitude was disgusting.
At the end when Jesse finds out he has a daughter he is ok with it, and interested in restarting things with her. wtf? you cant trust someone like that, why would you want to be with her? and where was the anger about not knowing he had a daughter and missing out on the first five years of her life.
Received this book through a BookFunnel code. Good premise. Story felt stilted with lots of repetition, passive voice, and a lack of convincing dialogue. Author, remember to engage the 5 senses of your audience. Another suggestion, use an editing program and an editor to punch the story up. Still, Ms. Woods made a good effort and I hope continues to write.
Short and sweet. Ashley engaged to a stiff shirt but is attracted to sexy roofer. She and Jesse have sex and she gets pregnant. Tells Chase baby is his and they marry but neither is happy. She tells him he is not Jessica’s father. Why did she feel the need to tell this?
She sees Jesse when he changes a tire for her. He sees Jessica with her green eyes that are just like his.
I enjoyed this book but felt that it was to scattered. It seems all over the place. It needed to be drown out more. Ashley and Jessie could of had a more emotional response for one another. Overall it had depth and character but just needed something more. I give this one 3 stars.
I received this book for free, through BookFunnel and/or the author....and I am glad I didn't pay for it! To me, this was a bunch of chapters thrown together with no storyline or history behind the characters...along with some grammatical errors. It did pass the time on a rainy day.
Abysmal writing, truly: run on sentences, perspective shifts, spelling and grammatical disasters, all told in a peculiar stream of consciousness style with occasional use of quotation marks to delineate dialogue… yikes.
A download made without any preview. Fits the stereotype of featuring a cover model stud. Some grammatical and spelling anomalies. Spares the reader detailed coital descriptions. Society girl miffed at stuffy boyfriend hops into bed with well-endowed working-class hunky roofer. Sparks fly after unprotected sex.
