It is impossible to overstate our need for a Savior. By directing our gaze to the cross and the empty tomb, the season of Lent reminds us that the answer to our desperate need is only found in Jesus.
During this Lent study, we will read the book of Isaiah, the Old Testament prophet who, more than any other, describes the coming of Christ in great detail. Isaiah’s vision is epic, opening with an invitation for all heaven and earth to listen, and calling for the complete and merciful restoration of God’s people. During the final week of Lent, we will read passages from the Gospels that correspond to the events of Holy Week, the final days of Christ’s journey to the cross. Isaiah’s message illustrates the salvation we so desperately need, and the Holy Week scriptures turn our eyes to the salvation already given us in the completed work of Christ.
The community study for You Are Mine: A Lenten Study of Isaiah runs February 27-April 16, 2017.

She Reads Truth is a worldwide community of women who read God's Word together every day. Founded in 2012, She Reads Truth invites women of all ages to engage Scripture through curated daily reading plans, as well as online conversation led by a vibrant community of contributing writers. This community of “Women in the Word of God every day” represents a long list of cities and countries, a variety of backgrounds and traditions, and countless real-life stories. But there is a commonality that binds us: we believe God's Word is Truth. So we read. Every day we read a new passage together—working our way through books of the Bible, topics that matter, and seasons of the Church calendar. We engage with God's Word and with each other. And we keep coming back, on the hard days and the good days, because God and His Word never change, regardless of our circumstances.
The Lenten study for She Reads Truth has not been created in Goodreads yet. This is not the actual one I just finished, however the one I finished was also Isaiah but is called “He Will Save Us”. Excellent as always.
Such a great devotional readings, but also an amazing composition of the Biblical texts from Isaiah, Psalms and the New Testament that give a new perspective on what's written in Isaiah. This helped me to stop and remember the meaning of Easter again.
