Great deal
I love that I can get both stories as a boxed set now. These are fantastic reads that will have you swooning for Lachlan and his MC family.
Mags was a great character for me. It was fun to read a story where the female lead is not in her early twenties. I found that I could relate to her and felt for her. Bink did a stellar job of writing a story and giving you this perspective of Mags life you could feel for. You will get emotionally vested as you read and cheer for both her and Lachlan to be together.
Whiskey is a fantastic addition to the story and adds humor but also bonding for Mags and Pip. I want to know how she makes those cupcakes.
Pip was a character that just melted your heart. She was so wise beyond her years.
The second story covers Christmas time for them and it was great catching up with the whole family again.
Overall this story had everything I could want. A female lead with a great story and past to overcome. Also a nontraditional work that was fun to explore. It had a Alpha male that you would swoon over but was broken. How he overcame his past will have you hugging your kindle. Great plot and supporting characters.

I enjoyed the first book, the second shorter story not so much. The first one had an interesting storyline showing a different side of abuse. However , the second left unanswered questions and wasnt really much to get interested in.

BEYOND HER WORDS:
Lachlan and Magdalene; what a couple......
Lachlan aka Smoke to his MC is a man full of power, personality, bravery and yet harbors many years of verbal abuse from a long estranged wife. Meredith (the wife) is one horrible self-centered creature who long ago ditched her marriage, husband, and very sadly, a daughter. She didn’t ditch their home or her meal-ticket but checked out of being a family member even as her daughter was born so many years prior. This viper of a human being has sucked the joy out of her husband in a way that no human being should be subjected to. Thankfully; Lachlan retains his humanity and a never-ending love for his daughter Bridget. It is his daughter that he has dedicated himself to in order that her upbringing is happy; in spite of an absent, cold hearted mother. Don’t get me wrong here; Lachlan is not a weak man and in fact he is strong of character. It is just a set of circumstances that beset him when Meredith become pregnant all those years before, and it snowballs into a bad marriage that lasts way too long for a man who needs a loving, supportive spouse. Instead; he got one heck of a bitchy leech stuck to his back and the weight has dragged him down to a level no human being should be subjected to.
Enter Magdalene; a woman on the run from feeling too much for anyone because everyone she loved up until about a decade before has been lost to her. She’s gone so long without caring too much, or feeling deeply, that her very nature has become desensitized to what real life is about. When she’s put into a position where she cannot care for herself and is at the mercy of a caring man and his lovely daughter; Magdalene has no choice but to join the human race that she’s run from for so long. It’s not an easy transition; from non-living to living in the present and the internal battles are painful to read, but oh so true to life.
Of course; love blooms but the petals of the flower are slow to unfurl and it is a lucky reader that witnesses what was, what is, and the hope of what will be. For Lachlan and Magdalene the dance to their destiny together is both compelling and torturous; how real it is because not all love affairs hop right into the sack but instead are performed in steps that often falter. The end; pure joy, because when they reach that place of nirvana it is because they are all in with hearts, bodies, and souls aligned.
We get some distinct side characters as well and hopefully we’ll see more of these characters in later books. Special mention to Thor; don’t know if he’s redeemable or not but it’d take one heck of a wily woman to bring him to his knees and change him from the lout he showed himself to be. I’m looking forward to more Bridget and Cas…….oh, I found the Bonez-Gunz relationship very promising. I have a feeling further books in this series will lead us straight to some other characters that we loved in the MC Chronicles Series. We’ll have to wait and see what BINK CUMMINGS has planned for her characters and for us readers.
All in all; I knew BINK CUMMINGS was capable of this wonderfully written book. I read her prior MC Chronicles and found them exceptional reading entertainment. This book is a total turnaround in that the love story is set from ground zero and builds from there. We get two damaged people who have so much to overcome and without wanting to, they find a way to heal together. A story like this tends to rend a person’s heart and I can say that it did that to mine, and more. The writing is full of nuances that will be discovered anew with each rereading of a book written with such feeling and depth.
If you’re looking for a book of substance and are ready for a journey of hearts; this be your book. Look no further. I would recommend it without hesitation.

I'm wondering here; is there any ONE woman who'd be able to tame Gunz? Then there is Bonez........ a man of many tastes......it'll be interesting to see where his story goes.
The love between Lachlan and Mags is so much more 'set' now that they've been together for several months. It also seems that they are VERY well matched in the bedroom, the kitchen, shower, and almost anywhere they choose to exploit their extreme attraction to one another. Most assuredly, they are one HOT couple. Each of them is shy in nature but once together they are not one bit shy......the trust is there so they open-up to the other. I like this in them.
All in all this is a fine novella giving us further clue into what is a great love duo. Not to mention all the side characters that we want more of! Cas, Bridget, Dawn, Bonez.......more please! Thank you dear authoress.......I loved it.

Beyond Her Words:
This book is so good you definitely will want to read it. I was captivated from the start. With her unique writing style this author spins a tale that will leave you breathless, laughing and smiling, falling in love with the characters while making your heart go out to what they’ve each endured. Lachlan and Magdalene’s story starts with a storm raging on outside but also on the inside. Both have damaged souls, are broken and not looking to emotional depend on another. Lachlan is a hot bossy Scottish guy that will make any woman swoon with his sexy accent. He’s drawn to Magdalene in a way he’s never been with anyone else. Their relationship is rocky, has drama but is realistic. Would totally recommend. Received an ARC copy from author for a honest review.

I really enjoyed reading this novella because it was a follow up with the characters from Beyond Her Words, plus it didn’t hurt that it was centered around the Christmas season, (which I love). You get to catch up with Lachlan and Mags and their growing love/relationship along with the Corrupt Chaos crew. You see how they celebrate which involves never a dull moment leaving you wanting more. Can’t wait for more in this series.

Scottish accent and heart of gold!
I loved Lachlan and Maggie's story! I liked the background story, I loved pip aka Bridget and Whiskey was a hoot! What I didn't like is sex in front of young adults( I know it's an MC but still), Meredith getting off Scot free after what she did to Mags, what she put Lachlan through was abusive and caused a gentle giant to have sexual issues, self doubt about himself and how others would see him, not to mention being a $h'! Mom to Pip! I really needed to see her get hers! Also all the drama with Thor then boom get your @$$ kicked all's forgiven! WTF?! So yes I enjoyed the book and majority of the characters but I also didn't enjoy some parts as well! Which lead me giving this read a 2.75 stars. Best part of this book picturing Lachlan in nothing but his kilt and Scottish brouge! Yum!😋

LOVED IT. LOVED IT. LOVED IT.
I was unsure if was going to like reading Lachlan Scottish vocabulary but I absolutely loved it. I even found I had a gruff Scottish voice in my head and it was sexy as hell.
I find Bink's writing style unique to Bink and I can never find a fault. And even though this is an MC related book it's completely different to the MC Chronicles.

Another brilliant read
Loved it loved it loved it.
When Bink creates characters the men are always alpha males but that's to be expected being bikers and all but it's the women who i really love. In this book Mags was strong and passionate and a Survivor someone with a backbone, someone who you could respect and would want to be your friend and the fact that she didn't use curse words just added to her charm.
That's what I love about this author, the women she writes about are all strong and capable women who have issues and pasts but they get on with it and face the world head on.
I can't wait to read more of her books.

Bink has done it again! ❤️
This amazing author has written another fantastic book!! Omg just thinking about this book has me wanting to read it again. There’s so much emotions and heart put into it and you can feel it. I was laughing, crying, pissed, shocked and several other emotions that I couldn’t control. This story was very well written and full of truth that hit my soul. I’m in love with the characters especially Mags and Smoke. If your wanting to read an amazing book that seeps into your soul and has some very great steamy scenes as a bonus then this book, no this author, is the one for you!!!! Another amazing book by Bink!! I give you 1k stars.

Good read!
I love box sets. There is no waiting. You get to read the whole series at once. Great series.

I thought I was going to love this book, but I didn't. I wanted to love Lachlan, but his issue with sex and how long he kept his ex around turned me against him a little. Mags was alright, but she just didn't care out a place to live in my heart. And finally, the situation towards the end with Lachlan being injured made me so mad. That's a trope authors do way to often, and it's completely unnecessary. Also, how the situation is resolved is never a surprise, so why are you doing it?? This one was not my cup of tea.

Ok i love all of Bink's books and characters but Mags and Lachlan have some serious feelings and issues between the 2 of them. Poor Lachlan and his bish of an ex and all his insecurities just killed me. No man should ever have such hang ups and Mags...what can i say. Losing those you love def makes you want to stay away from it. Meeting Bonez? Love him as much as his brother Gunz, seriously i just want to read about the 2 of them and their naughtiness forever.

This book.... oh my good gravy. This book hits you right in the feels and tears up only to rebuild you.
Smoke and Mags are just too much and not enough. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I will say this. Bring tissues, not just for crying, but for all the laughter too.
I cannot wait for more from this gang and I hope Thor grows up. I also need to read Gunz books.

absolutely fabulous
I didn't want the book to end loved it just as much as the mc chronicles and im glad mags and Lachlan got their happy ever after. Would love to learn more about the other characters mentioned in this book especially pip and cas will there be a continuation of the story? here's hoping xx

Slow burn to flash over
What a truly romantic book, with a slow burn intensity until a flash over. Then you get a good kick in the heart lol almost through my phone, did I mention I was crying. Then to laughter heat and sexy oh lala to tears again, it’s ok happy tears. This book is so bloody good!

Awesome book!!
Wow!! I really loved reading this book!! I got sucked in from the beginning and didn't want to stop reading until I finished! I laughed, cried and definitely had to fan my face with some of the steamy stuff! Mags and Lachlan are fantastic! I need more of the Corrupt Chaos!!

it took me awhile but I finally figured out this was supposed to be satire. These weren't characters they were caricatures with a strong streak of exhibitionism. They felt like having sex in the middle of a bakery, no problem just go for it.

This box set is absolutely amazing. Tears, laughter, and wanting to throw things, had me sitting on the edge of my chair the entire time I was reading. This author transports you as if it's happening to you.

I couldn't put it down.. Smoke and Mags.. what can you say except for it's the perfect love story. And the way the roles are reversed where he is the cautious one is beyond the swoon factor. I loved and hope there is more to come with these two💞💞

Fantastic
Magdalene is running from her past. She just can't feel contented. A sudden storm and severe injuries lead her to be saved by Lachlan. He is a huge monster of a man and father to Brigette. What he feels is really confusing as he is fighting his own demon's from his past.

Bink Cummings does it again! Made me fall in love with her amazing characters! I’ve always loved Scotland and Scotsmen and she brought to life a gorgeous Scotsman! Mags and Lachlan are perfect together. They have a pretty awesome family too!

Loved this so much!
Wow Locklan is so dreamy amazing! Alpha and sweet and loving! He has to be so dreamy and the love he has for his daughter and Meggie is amazing! I loved how he took care of everyone and he put himself last! Loved there happy ending!

Absolutely worth the read!!
Solid story line and I loved every character. It’s nice when a story flows and you don’t want to stop reading. This Scott is heart and panty melting ladies and so worth the read. Bink is truly gifted!!

At first
..I didn't think I would like this book. I was pleasantly surprised that I loved it. Other than using "wee," a wee bit too much it is a great read. The characters are flawed but human and I couldn't help but love them.
