MS O’Neil has a special voice that brings out the emotions, feelings, humour and love from her characters and the beauty of the setting, she draws you in from the first page makes you feel part of the story, feel like friends with the characters so as you just keep turning those pages to get to the finish and find such happiness.

Dr Kali O’Shea has taken a locum’s position for one month on The Isle of Dunregan Scotland never expecting to lose her heart to her brooding gorgeous boss Dr Brodie McClellan. Kali has a past that is kept secret but is positive and she is always looking on the bright side she sees the good in everything even with the past she has. Kali is so drawn to Brodie when she meets him that she is willing to open up which is unlike her, but she is here to help with the practise.

Dr Brodie McClellan is home to the Island that he has always wanted to leave he has returned after the death of his father to take over the practise at least for a year but he has also just returned from working in Africa and the Ebola virus so now needs another Doctor to help with patients that are not too eager to see him. But when he meets Kali there are going to be a lot of changes in his life for the better you see Kali will make a difference.

This really is a fabulous story with so much going on, medical dramas that show courage and strength and a journey together for Kali and Brodie to find love and a home together to find truths and for two people running they have both won their race to be together in love and happy. This is a must read story truly you will smile and cry but in the end you will be jumping for joy and sighing. I loved this one thank you MS O’Neil for another keeper.

When I pick up a book, as a reader I want to be transported to the fictional world the author has created through vivid prose and engaging dialogue. Her Hot Highland Doc does that for me. This story transported me to Scotland where I meet a wonderful set of characters. I was swept away with the romance and the sexual tension simmering between Brodie and Kali. I enjoyed meeting these two for the first time and seeing them take their relationship to the next level. Of course, the medical backdrop allowed Brodie and Kali to act natural throughout the span of the story, giving you a clear view of their personalities. And once I got to know these main characters, cheering them on wasn’t an issue. Overall, Her Hot Highland Doc is another wonderful addition to Annie O’Neil’s list of emotionally charged novels.

"Her Hot Highland Doc" by Annie O'Neil is a wonderful medical romance with so much more. Both Dr. Brodie McClellan and Dr. Kali O'Shea have painful pasts. Brodie has returned to the Isle of Dunregan, and Kali is there as a temporary Doctor. They find themselves drawn to each other, and hope to keep the secrets in the past from coming between them.

If you really like the medical type books, I suggest you start with this one, Annie O'Neil, her HOT HIGHLAND DOCTOR. It was a wonderful book about two people who strong emotional passion about what they believed in and against all odds fell madly in love

Kali and Brody are two Doctors who had similar plans and same ambitions out of life. This was a gripping love about these two. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about their adventures and emotional rides of a typical Doctors life they had to go thru. Thank you Annie O'Neil, what a wonderful book...

I loved Her Hot Highland Doc by Annie O’Neil. The story is about two doctors, Brodie McClellan and Kali O’Shea, who both have troubled pasts but that doesn’t stop them from taking the plunge and embracing love.

It is set on the Isle of Dunregan and I loved the strong sense of community of the islanders. Brody McClellan is a born and bred islander but he always wanted to escape the island, which is why he volunteered for Doctors Without Borders every change he could. Having made a promise to his dying father, he now has to look after the family practice on the island for at least a year. When he brings in a locum to help him with the practice, he did not expect Kali O’Shea! Kali is a cup-half-full-person and she immediately falls in love with island life. The interaction between the two doctors are full of sparks, wit and loads of attraction.

I highly recommend this book to any romance lover. In fact, any Annie O’Neil book is well worth reading. She always has great characters, a well thought out story and brilliant delivery!

Ms. O'Neill has penned a wonderful medical romance about Dr. Brodie McClellan and Dr. Kali O'Shea.  Two doctors with deep pasts find themselves working in the Isle of Dunregan.  Brodie is there only because he made a promise to his late father to spend one year there and Kali has been searching for someplace to call home.  Heartache, secrets and love are all in this lovely story of two people feeling drawn to each other.  Will they both put there past hurts behind them and find what they are looking for in Scotland and will they find their HEA.  Grab this lovely book and find out.

Emotions run high as two doctors, both with painful heartache in their past, meet and try to co-exist as they run a medical clinic in Scotland.

Dr. Brodie McClellan has just come home to the Isle of Denregan to take over his family clinic with a big chip on his shoulder and a lot of weight on his heart. He's hit with the memories that he can't outrun every time he turns around.

As a temporary doctor at the clinic, Dr. Kali O'Shea can't resist falling in love with the area. She has a lot of secrets and a truckload of her own heartache that she tries to bury with work and she can't believe how free she feels in this little piece of paradise!

Will these two be able to help heal the painful pasts they are trying to outrun by turning to each other?

Working in an ebola infected environment and then coming home to run his father’s clinic, has left a lot of people wary of Dr. Brodie McClellan. Patients are avoiding him like the plague, even though there’s absolutely no chance he’s contagious after being in quarantine for the number of days he had to be. Luckily, he has Dr. Kali O’Shea helping him out for a while. Can she help him find a way to assure patients that he is capable of being their doctor while convincing Brodie to let go of his painful past, so they can have a chance at happy ever after? A wonderfully warm romance about two doctors who fall in love while working together. What I enjoyed was the island location, then wonderfully unique island people, the intrigue of Kali's past and the twist when revealed all. Bodie was a great hero and I thought his back story was one of interest. I loved his behavior at the beginning because I hadn't redd anything like it before haha. Lots of medical drama with interesting cases and I felt sorry about finishing. A truly warm hearted story full of love, intrigue and unique twists and turns. throughly enjoyed!

3 stars. This was okay. I did really liked the main characters. Brodie and Kali were very interesting characters and had depth to them. Their romance was great and develops at a nice pace. Also, the setting of this was so interesting. And this book takes place during the Ebola virus and I had no idea going in but that was intriguing, especially to read during these times. What I wasn’t all that impressed with was the plot itself, it was kinda boring and I found myself losing interest a lot. It was well written but it wasn’t all that entertaining for me unfortunately.

I loved being transported to the Isle of Dunegan in Scotland for a medical romance . The hero Brodie McClellan was a real brooding Scotsman as the book opens , not really happy to be back in his late father's medical practice. Locum Kali O'Shea arrives with her own past baggage and finds the posting just what she needs to move on .
The book is an easy read focusing on family and community , relationships and new beginnings.
This is the first book by Annie O'Neil that I have read and I will be looking out for more

Her Hot Highland Doc (Harlequin Medical Romance) by Annie O'Neil
Dr. Brodie McClellan has returned to Dunregan and already has past thoughts pushing him to a breaking point. He is set on fulfilling his promise to his father. He will take over the medical clinic in Scotland.
Dr. Kali O’Shea finds the area fascinating and she is running away from a past and trying to find a new home.
First meeting with Dr. Brodie is with her in the muck and bike dirty, her clothes dirty. He is surprised to find that she is the new Dr. and even though she is having a hard time with the instant feelings she has for him it seems he has a giant chip on his shoulder.
Dr. Brodie had just returned from an Ebola stricken area of Africa, and the community is not taking that so well even though he has been tested free of it.
Dr. Kali has been searching a new place since she entered the witness protection program. She does not expect to have these feelings for the handsome and Scottish doctor and for the community.
They both have painful pasts and yet they find themselves drawn to each other.
Annie O’Neil tells the story of this medical romance and it is written so you feel you are right there in Scotland with them.
