I chose to read this trilogy after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

As I read Fire War, I was beginning to regret agreeing to read the entire trilogy. There was so much explaining and little action that it took me a long time to get through the first half of the book. I kept setting it aside to read something else. Once I got to the end of Fire War, however, everything changed. I read the end of the first book through the end of the third book in one day. It was so good!

Anthony Jackson is the main character and he loves his country. He’s a military man and the only thing he loves more than his country is his family. The country seems to be in better shape than it ever has and it’s secure because of President Meyers who has stopped all travel in and out of the country. Jackson notices some things that Meyers does that are questionable but writes them off as Meyers knowing what’s best for the country. Eventually, however, it’s all too clear that things aren’t as they seem and that Jackson is working for the government but this government no longer represents the country that he loves so well. I kept wondering how long it would take Jackson to realize this. He’s so loyal that it takes him a while.

By Fire War III, Jackson is no longer working for the government but leading an anti-government group. They don’t want war, they just want to return the country to a democracy. They’re preparing for war, though, and know that force will most likely have to be used.

The characters are well developed, especially Jackson and his family. It’s interesting how some of the characters change from Jackson’s point of view throughout time.

I definitely recommend this trilogy. It’s worth getting through the explanations of the first book to get to the rest of the trilogy.

This was a long read as it's a three book set. I really enjoyed how the story evolved across each book. What is most striking is that while fiction, the book forecasts a very realistic future if current events continue to progress in their current form.

The one thing I found odd is that while story is set in the 2080's, the implications of what the impacts of technology would be like in that era were totally absent in the story. This wasn't a detractor for me as I enjoyed the story as if it were set in current times.

The quote used throughout the book is timely and most appropriate. Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

These are beyond just a Sci-Fi novels, they had a real Political aspect to it as well. T.T. Michael has brought to life very multi-dimensional characters and given them a purpose.

The world he has created is so vivid and really helps the reader feel like they are there with the characters.

Each installment boasts strong and fast paced plots which will keep you invested the entire way through each novel as well as through the series as a whole.

Don't wait to dive into this series! Great Sci-Fi/Dystopian reads.

I just started this series. I started off with Book #1, and am now adding the next two in the series to my TBR pile, I definitely need to continue the series after reading the first.

The plot was very well paced and while some parts were easy to predict, there were also plenty of surprises along the way and ultimately it led to a great read overall.

You will not be disappointed by the world T.T. Michael has created and the action and adventure that has come from his imagination.

I liked the diversity and originality of these novels.
Believeable and Relatable characters really help to captivate the reader and get them invested in the happenings of this story.
This was a great trilogy. I liked that this was Sci-Fi series but also had many other qualities that made it appeal to other genres. Dystopian and Political aspects help to make the novel a little more diverse.

I was sucked into this world more and more with each installment
I was continuously eager to see where TT Michael would take these characters. I was very happy with the way he was able to build on the story and characters from the first installment to the next.
This is a Dystopian/Sci-Fi series with fantasy and intrigue, drama and action, and so much more. Don’t miss these novels!
