Jack is captured by the FBI and is sent on an undercover mission, along with a known FBI agent, to identify and report on a drug cartel. What happens after that is explained in a Jon Mills style...
Just like the previous books in the series, this too was literally un-put-down-able. I found myself lucky that I took this book to reading during holidays..
This book stated a little slow, but that was ok because it was Jack and Isabel spending time together. And, when they found out they would be spending more time together, only this time for work, Jack was suspicious and Isabel was pissed. The action started to pick up as they worked. Only it wasn't a true partnership. Secrets were kept and things done out of spite. A terrible tragedy occurred. I am very curious to see the pieces put back together in book 8. I know I kind of spoke in riddles but I didn't want to give away any spoilers. This was a good episode in A Jack Winchester Thriller book. If you've read this far into the series you know how addictive these books are. If you are just starting I would advise you to start with book 1.
Jeez! The last book had horrible things about kidnapped boys and this book had a main character killed. WTH Jon? You make it so I’m not sure I want to go on with the series. Oh, and let’s not forget Jack begging a drug dealer if the dealer had a little heroin, to take the edge off! Again, WTH?
As you can guess this was all about drug dealers, and lots of killing.
No romance and the F-bomb was used 41 times.
As to the narration: Adam Gold is fantastic when narrating these books.
A bit of a sad twist to this one I didn't see it coming at all , all the story lines are gritty but I always feel that it will be ok cause Jack's coming like another reviewer said they are a bit gruesome and sick but knowing Jack's on the case makes for good reading. Onto the next .
If you love a good book full of action romance and suspense you will love this book there's one part towards the end I wasn't happy with and I won't spoil it but I understand the author has to follow his story line and how he set it up. So you have to read this book and find out if Jack gets caught by the FBI and how he helps karla
Though in my opinion the book starts out a little slower than the previous books, it finishes strong! The slow start prompted me to give it four stars, but the ending is definitely a five star finish. Some unexpected happenings at the end left me just saying “wow”! All in all another great book!
Winchester has created a character not unlike Jack Reacher .Jack Winchester is a drifter with a moral compass but has no qualms about eliminating what he sees has the evil amongst us .Again join Mills has achieved with Narc_ Debt Collector book 7 in his series a book that is impossible to close until finished reading.
I have read all of this series and have been hooked. I like the style of his writing it's easy to follow. I can picture the characters. I enjoy the surprises in the storyline. I start each book knowing I need to make time to read cause I can't wait to see what happens next. Thank you, Jon
These Jack Winchester books are entertaining. I’ve loved the supporting characters but must say don’t understand killing them off. I’m in for the next book in the series but Jon Mills has to win me back now. If you like this series keep reading and include this one and decide for yourself.
Another exceptional entry in this compelling series. Jack is the epitome of the best anti-hero . The plot keeps readers turning the pages and forgoing pretty much everything else. This time around Jack has overestimated his ablities and his almost cavalier attitudes towards his opponents and the FBI have devastating consequences.
I have grown to love reading about Jack. This book like the others has some risky plot twists. Stuff happens to Jack and characters around him that you would not expect.
I'm still really mad about the ending....but I'd give it 3.5..maybe 4 stars because the writing is phenomenal, and the story is so gripping that it incites emotions I wouldn't feel otherwise. That's the basis of what makes a great book right?
This series likes to throw curve balls. I do not know that any character or issue is sacred. Enough said... no spoilers! The title says it all—when drugs are involved, there are few boundaries. Another home run!
Being the seventh in the series you would think things would start to be a bit predictable. Nope. Still kept me on the edge of my seat and not wanting to put the book down. Excited for the next one. Definitely a series to just let the hours pass you by as you read
Really bad ending by killing off Isabel she would have made the books more exciting with her in it. Too many authors do this when they know it will piss of their readers
I feel like i am gonna see this character, Jack, in a Segal movie makeover. He takes a lickin and still gets right back up, leaving dead bodies in his wake.
Jack falls prey not to nasty bad guys so much as heroin. It is the trap of every undercover officer in the country. The twist and turns are many and surprising, especially the sad but powerful ending!
This book was just okay, just not the Jack Winchester I am used to reading about, will just have to wait and see what number 8 will bring . Will continue to read this author
I really enjoyed the story, though not as much as some of the earlier ones. Still, it was well written, and left you wanting to know what happens next, so that means it was still a good read. Thanks.
