Intolerance: Short Fiction

Rate this book
In Line Up, Kane, the undisputed leader of the 5th grade class at Ha Eretz Hebrew Day School has become ‘drunk with power’. When Shem discovers a coup to overthrow Kane he becomes torn by his advantageous allegiance to the 10 year old tyrant, and what is best for the group.

In Spectacle, a group of 7th grade Hebrew Day School boys leave the Holocaust Museum deeply reflective about their own mortality and ethics only to encounter hostile anti-semitism on the way home. Bolstered by their experience, the boys flex their intolerance of oppression to the brink. And in doing so, they discover a very dark side of their own personalities.

“Tesher faces issues straight on--that I found most admirable and that young adult readers will doubtless applaud.”
