Sean Mikaelson, drummer of Sweet Misery, didn’t always have an easy life. He was headed down the wrong path, but it all changed when the troubled teen met his best friend, Damon Black.
Throughout the years, music became his escape.
Liberation came with a price, that of a promise… one that would test him in ways he never thought possible. One moment, he had the entire world at his fingertips. The next, he made the biggest mistake of his life and everything slipped from his grasp.
Shay Black’s first mistake was tempting herself with someone she could never have. She was doomed the minute his smile hypnotized her, threatening everything. But the heart wants what it wants. One night changed it all. The love she once knew was now buried deep, hidden away, and nothing would ever be the same again.

Gina Sevani was born and raised in beautiful South Carolina. She learned quickly that she had mad love for reading romance, paranormal and everything in between.

One night, as she was trying to fall asleep fictional characters popped into her head and would not leave. Day after day she was running dialogue and creating stories while trying to perform daily tasks. Those amazing characters wanted to be heard.

As time passed, she kept them at bay convinced she didn’t have the ability to be an “Author”. But late one night, she sat down at the computer, deciding to see if her characters could come to life on the pages. When she finally took a deep breath, thousands of words filled the pages. Those words gave her the courage she needed to begin this incredible journey.

Wow, I just can't get enough of these characters. Gina, you amaze me with your writing talent. Shay and Sean have been dancing around their romance, understandably so, due to Damon. So happy their romance was written, with a few twists of course. Kudos Gina!!

I volunteered to read an ARC of this book, no form of payment was received.
This is the first book I have read by this author. I am planning on going back and reading the other two books by this author!

This story follows Shay and Sean! I loved both of these characters. This is a best friends little sister romance book.
Sean is best friends with Damon and good friends with Shay as well, or was with Shay. Things are a lot rocky between them. Sean is the drummer of the band Sweet Misery.
Shay is a single mom to Sadie, She works as a cosmetologist. She has been in love with Sean for years and things go wrong when she tells him.

They dance around how they feel due to Damon, but Sean has had enough of that is going to fight for Shay. Shay pushes him away time after time.

Will the two ever find happiness together or will they be miserable apart? Will people from their past keep them apart or can they both let go of the past and find true happiness. This story had some twist and turns. It was an amazing story and I hope there is more of this series to come! Travis needs a book!

Finished Beautifully Torn . Enjoyed this story very much . Loved how sean went hard for the love of his life even though I wanted to jump inside the book to shake shay up . The girl is very stubborn but she had to stand her ground and protect her heart along the way. .

If you've the first two books in this series make sure to add this baby to your TBRs .

Sevani has done it again.
Sean and Shay bring a new dimension to the series that I adored. I really identified with Shay because I've been in a similar situation. The author nailed it.
Though several times I wanted to smack Sean upside the head, I still loved him. Though I wanted to through my kindle multiple times, I still loved the book.
Because that's exactly what a great story does. It pulls you in, gets in your head and heart, and forces you to feel.
I highly suggest you grab every book in this series and hold on tight for an emotional roller coaster ride.

I loved Beautifully Torn! I love brother's best friend stories! Shay is so feisty and head strong, not to mention stubborn to the core. Unfortunately, Sean is just as stubborn. He is also loyal, as he made a promise to Shay's brother when he was a teen, to never get involved with his sister. Shay doesn't know about the promise. All she knows is, she is in love with Sean and knows there is a connection between them. She doesn't understand why he won't ask her out or let her know how he feels. One night changes everything, and we truly get to see just how stubborn they both are. Is a promise between friends worth losing someone you could love? Will they both realize their feelings, or will they miss their chance at happiness because they were too stubborn? I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait to read whatever Gina Sevani writes next.

Wow this book tore me up. It has you cheering for Sean and Shay and screaming at them in the next turn. With a little bit of danger thrown in it was simply awesome! The only reason it's not a 5 star for me was the beginning 7 chapters or so were review from the last 2 books just a little more from Shay and Sean's eyes. I loved this book but it could have had a little less review of them. If that makes sense.

Shay has been in love with her older brother Damon's best friend Sean forever. Sean and Damon are as close as two brothers could be but Damon made Sean promise to never date his sister or look at her that way. Shay flees to the arms of another after Sean's rejection and becomes pregnant. Fast forward three years and the ember of their love has continued to grow but neither one is willing to admit it. Now Shay has not only her heart to protect but also that of her daughter. A lovely addition to the Damaged Series, a 4.5 stars emotional hit for Gina Sevani. It can be read as a standalone but do not miss the epic love of Damon and Ariel that started it all!

nothing is better than a brother's best friend romance and this one is definitely a 5 star. Shay has always harbored feelings for Sean and she thought he might feel the same but when she confesses her feelings to him it's not like she thought, but Sean feels he would be betraying Damon Shays brother, his BFF. Can they get past that hurdle and the past?

This book took me a bit to get into and some times I wanted to smack Shay and make her realize that she was the only one preventing herself from being happy. All in all this was a good story to read and I enjoyed it.

This was my first book by Gina Sevani and I definitely was not disappointed. I started it late at night and couldn't put it down until I was done. Her ability to draw you in and keep your interest through a story is amazing. I would recommend her books to anyone looking for a good story.
