Even though her father’s murderer had been found and killed, Bruce Blackwood’s spirit would still not rest. Art O’Reilly not only has to protect Brooke from those who want to do her harm, but also from the growing feelings he has for her. She’s an innocent and, right now, considers him her Knight in Shining Armor. Can he make her understand that he doesn’t want to be her hero? He just wants her to see him as he is; a man in love.

5 stars is just not enough...lol the whole O'Reilly clan has my heart forever it all started with Mary but I just adore her siblings but most of all their Mother Margaret O'Reilly that woman is just magical.

So this is Art's second story and it was a thrilling jaw dropper of epic proportions, I couldn't and wouldn't put it down house work became challenging while I carried my iPad with me lol.

So Art, Brooke, Sam and Nikki were back for more unraveling of corruption in some seriously powerful places.
There was some seriously romantic moments to and a few laughs as well.

A thoroughly entertaining read I want more

MY REVIEW:
Terri Reid’s work never ceases to entertain and impress me. She is masterful at writing characters who are far more than just words on a page. They manage to come alive, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with them.

It’s really fun to branch out from the Mary O’Reilly series into Art’s. Just like the Mary series, this one is heartfelt and an absolute joy to read from start to finish. I never thought I could adore a couple as much as I do Bradley and Mary, but Brooke and Art have captured my heart, too. And I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them both.

Niki and Sam are charming, too. They quickly become more than supporting characters. I’m just as invested in their stories, too.

Niki reminds me of Lucy from the Scarpetta series, and I love that. Lucy was consistently my favorite character in those novels, so I have high hopes for Niki.

Bruce and his blossoming relationship with Brooke is really something special. I expected him to have crossed over after the first book, but I’m glad he’s still around in this story. Brooke needs him just as much, if not more than he needs her.

The only thing that irked me about this book is the repeated use of “blood splatter”. The true crime fanatic in me wanted to scream, “It’s SPATTER!”

This is a fantastic start to a series I very much look forward to reading.

I Couldn’t Put It Down

The second book of the Blackwood Files carry’s on with Art & Brooke’s investigation into “the Organisation”.

To me it was even better than the first book, it was gripping & I was completely hooked from the first page. The characters are so endearing that I didn’t want it to end!

A real page turner

I loved this book. Art O’Reilly was one of the main characters. A twisted page turner that I couldn’t put down. I hope Teri Reid will write more Sean and Art books- and of course more Mary. I really enjoy this author’s books!

This story goes from the best in humans to the worst. Art, Brooke, Nikki, & Sam are such upright young people. They represent hope for justice. Can't wait for the next installment in their adventure.

The second in the series and I'm already waiting for the third to come out. I enjoy books and series that solve part of the mystery but keep you coming back for the next installment to find out what happens next. This is one of those series. I love the characters and am looking forward to more ghostly sightings...
