Even though her father’s murderer had been found and killed, Bruce Blackwood’s spirit would still not rest. Now his focus was on his daughter, Brooke, and the danger she would be in if she ever recovered the childhood memory of his death. Who can she trust when it seems the very people who should watch over her, her parents, were part of the plot? Art O’Reilly not only has to protect Brooke from those who want to do her harm, but also from the growing feelings he has for her. She’s an innocent and, right now, considers him her Knight in Shining Armor. Can he make her understand that he doesn’t want to be her hero? He just wants her to see him as he is; a man in love.

5 stars is just not enough...lol the whole O'Reilly clan has my heart forever it all started with Mary but I just adore her siblings but most of all their Mother Margaret O'Reilly that woman is just magical.
So this is Art's second story and it was a thrilling jaw dropper of epic proportions, I couldn't and wouldn't put it down house work became challenging while I carried my iPad with me lol.
So Art, Brooke, Sam and Nikki were back for more unraveling of corruption in some seriously powerful places. There was some seriously romantic moments to and a few laughs as well.

MY REVIEW: Terri Reid’s work never ceases to entertain and impress me. She is masterful at writing characters who are far more than just words on a page. They manage to come alive, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with them.
It’s really fun to branch out from the Mary O’Reilly series into Art’s. Just like the Mary series, this one is heartfelt and an absolute joy to read from start to finish. I never thought I could adore a couple as much as I do Bradley and Mary, but Brooke and Art have captured my heart, too. And I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them both.
Niki and Sam are charming, too. They quickly become more than supporting characters. I’m just as invested in their stories, too.
Niki reminds me of Lucy from the Scarpetta series, and I love that. Lucy was consistently my favorite character in those novels, so I have high hopes for Niki.
Bruce and his blossoming relationship with Brooke is really something special. I expected him to have crossed over after the first book, but I’m glad he’s still around in this story. Brooke needs him just as much, if not more than he needs her.
The only thing that irked me about this book is the repeated use of “blood splatter”. The true crime fanatic in me wanted to scream, “It’s SPATTER!”
This is a fantastic start to a series I very much look forward to reading.
The second book of the Blackwood Files carry’s on with Art & Brooke’s investigation into “the Organisation”.
To me it was even better than the first book, it was gripping & I was completely hooked from the first page. The characters are so endearing that I didn’t want it to end!
Another winner form this incredibly talented lady! These characters come to life as you read through the pages and when you reach "The End" you are still wanting more! Terri Reid never lets you down and this series is just warming up!
I have read all of the Mary O'Reilly books (loved every one) and I'm so excited to see Ms Reid beginning another series with her Mary's brother Art. I just can't wait to read about Mary's baby and more Blackwood Files.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the characters. I love the friends of Niki & Brooke, Art & Sam, Bruce Blackwood; the entire O'Reilly clan. I'm hoping this series will continue.
In today's world,it is so nice to know that we still have wonderful authors like Terri Reid that writes feel good stories. We all need to have that little bit of hope to hold on to. Thank you for not giving up on humanity.
I am again so happy with another of Terri Reid's books. Loved the 2nd in this series, and was thrilled with the inclusion of Mary O'Reilly's family. It was like bringing your whole family together! Terri truly has a gift and I am so happy she shares it with us!
I loved this book. Art O’Reilly was one of the main characters. A twisted page turner that I couldn’t put down. I hope Teri Reid will write more Sean and Art books- and of course more Mary. I really enjoy this author’s books!
This story goes from the best in humans to the worst. Art, Brooke, Nikki, & Sam are such upright young people. They represent hope for justice. Can't wait for the next installment in their adventure.
Once again, Terri Reid pulls you in from the beginning. The suspense keeps you engrossed all the way to the end. And who doesn’t love the O’Reilly family?! I’m looking forward to the next one!
All of Terri Reid's books are wonderful. This one was no exception. However, you need to read The Blackwood Files: File ONE before this one. Great book.
These two books are my most favorite of her books so far! I love Mary O'Reilly and her story, but these two books had so much suspense and EVIL disguised that I couldn't put them down!
I started reading this and couldn't put it down. Ms. Reid has done an excellent job and will always put her books at the top of my reading list. Fast reading
i liked this sequel and look forward to the next in this series. love the characters. villains die, wrongs are righted. but the mystery deepens. Re read in august, 2017.
Another great spinoff of the Mary O'Reilly series. Each of these characters are sweet and wonderful in their own way and I hope Terri Reid never stops writing about them!
The second in the series and I'm already waiting for the third to come out. I enjoy books and series that solve part of the mystery but keep you coming back for the next installment to find out what happens next. This is one of those series. I love the characters and am looking forward to more ghostly sightings...
Another great story . If you love mystery and suspense with a touch of paranormal you will love this book. Terri has a gift of pulling you in with her characters. I love her books and will be looking forward to more adventures with the ORileys !
