Rate this book
In the fifth edition of The Regional Geography of Canada, Robert Bone has refined and updated his study of Canadian geography through six identified regions: Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario, Western Canada, British Columbia, and the Territorial North. The text examines the distinctive physical, historical, cultural, social and economic features of each region to determine their place within the overall structure of Canada, while also taking into account their relevance within a global context. From the historical foundations of Canada's human geography to new coverage of environmental factors and current economic trends, readers will gain a comprehensice overview of the discipline. Increased pedagogical material, including new 'Think About It' questions and cross-chapter links, further enhances a command of the material and prompts students' critical analysis of issues throughout their reading.

This is such a complex topic but I do feel like Dr Bone did a good job of keeping out any bias when putting the book together. At times it reads like an option piece but overall is based on stats and research

It may be a textbook, but at least it was easy to read and I learned lots.
