Dash
Evie King.
God, even her name leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I’ve put up with her for years for my best friend, her overprotective older brother, Mason.
I’d grown comfortable in my distaste, reliant on my hatred. But when a favor goes too far and I wake up naked next to my sworn nemesis in a hotel room in Dallas?
That’s when my life begins spiraling out of control.
We swore we’d keep it between us. We vowed to never let it happen again.
Until…
Can you crave and loathe someone at the same time?
I’m about to find out.
It only takes one snowflake to start an avalanche.
Welcome to the avalanche.

Evie

Have you ever met one of those people who just dry humps your last nerve?
Enter Dash Hunter. Humper of my nerves.
Leave it to this jackass to ruin my life.
I’d had it all, but one drunken mistake with this asshole has it all crashing down.
They say everything happens for a reason, but I see no rhyme or reason to this disaster.
This was never what we wanted, not at all what we planned.
We were supposed to do our respective walks of shame and move on, but then…
We were blindsided. We never saw it coming.
All we want is to go back to what made sense, back to hating each other, but there’s a problem.
How do you defeat your enemy when you’re no longer frigid?

This book consist of "hate fuck" trope and I looooooooove it.

MMC and FMC hate each other since childhood. You don't need valid reason for that. It's refreshing to see two people who don't stand each other simply because their personalities are polar opposites and they just don't click.

They are not enemies but they live to annoy one another and that's fine. The romance exists and the smut did not take over the story.
However, they fell too quickly in love (after 10 years of hate, one moth of sex and occasional heart to heart won't make you fall in love)
And the novel ends on a Happy for now note. I haaaaaaaaaate that and I'm not reading further.

Decent read but never felt realistic

i adore a good hate/love romance. The characters in this one just felt a bit generic. I also expected it to be a complete story. There didn't seem like much was left to be told in this story and yet it still managed to end on a cliffhanger with no closure. Very disappointing. I'm not invested enough in this story to continue on to book 2.

I was very lucky to beta read this book. Dash and Evie...where do I begin? This book had me hooked from the first page.

Dash has a best friend, Mason, who happens to be the older brother of the girl he hates above all others - Evie. They have never gotten along, but when he is stuck picking her up at the airport after not seeing her for a while, he can't help but notice how attractive she is. Then she opens her mouth and he's back to hating her again. Everything she says reminds him why he doesn't like her.

When Evie and Dash are stuck together thanks to a travel delay, they turn to alcohol. One mistake kicks off a series of events neither of them can ignore. Will they ever be able to be civil to one another? Can they feel something other than hatred toward the other? Maybe it's time they both defrost and see what's been right in front of them all along.

I loved the banter between Dash and Evie. It was one of the many reasons I fell in love with this book. Kate Benson brings us a world where two enemies become more and you're left furiously flipping the pages to find out what happens next. I loved these two characters. They were funny, relatable, and downright lovable. I can't wait to see where the series takes us to next.

This was my first book from Kate Benson and I will tell you that it won’t be my last especially with how this booked ended, even though it wasn’t really a cliffhanger in my opinion but it makes me want to really want to read the next one in this frenemies series.
I laughed a hell of a lot in this book and some of the best one liners had me loving this book it was so smartly written and couldn’t put it down.

Evie had the best sass I have read in a book for a long time and love the banter between Dash and her it is the best. When we first meet Evie wow does she have some bad luck and it really doesn’t get any better for her, but it makes the book so good and the drama is awesome.

Dash is just your regular small town guy working two jobs and just living the single life, has a best friend and hates his best friend’s sister. He has a good back story and really just loves Masons family as it is own as he doesn’t have any and this really becomes a kind of story that he really shouldn’t be looking at his best friends sister like he does.

I really loved everything about this book the drama, the sass, the way Dash is described oh hello hotness, it’s hot and sexy and I really loved the writing Kate Benson is one fantastic writer.
If your into frenemies to lovers, love great banter and drama that keeps the book in your hands and you can devour in one sitting then this is the book for you.

This is a very good enemies to friends books and very funny too. And I'm anxious to see what happens in the next book! The chemistry between the two was so electric I'm surprised that they hadn't gotten together before this but I guess sometimes timing is everything. The characters were well developed and you learned most of their backstory. Dash's before he came to live near them is the only thing missing but I don't thing it's that big of a deal. But Dash and Evie along with Evie's brother Mason all grew up together since they were all younger. And Dash and Evie never got along. I think the name calling was there foreplay...lol They always fought never ever got along until one drunken night. Then they couldn't get enough of each other. They still fought but the desire for each couldn't be contained. But keeping it away from everyone and then hating that they still couldn't get enough of each was driving them both crazy. But you know on the other side of hate is love but can they really go from one extreme feeling to the other? I would definitely recommend this book.

Frigid by Kate Benson is a MUST READ!!! I ABSOLUTELY loved it!!

This is a comical romance between two people who've been sworn enemies practically their whole lives.

Evie and Dash definitely are hot for each other when they cross paths after not seeing one another for a couple years. The chemistry is undeniable, but so is the hatred that stems from childhood.

What do you get when you put that combination together? One hell of a hilariously hot romance!!

Get ready to laugh hysterically, and swoon your butt off!!

If you're looking for a fun, lighthearted, sweet, frustratingly hot read, this is the book for you!

5 Stars all the way!!!!

I am I love with this story. Like head over heels in love. The characters are amazing. They have this love hate relationship to them. Well it's mostly hate. But you can kinda tell underneath all that hate there is something there. It's hot. Loved watching the relation change. This book had me laughing and almost crying. But I loved it all together. That ending killed me. I need more of this book and i need it now.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Wow! I haven't read my enemy-to-lovers books and I'm so glad that Frigid was one of my first to delve into this subject. Kate captured my attention very quickly and I was absorbed into her world trying to see whether things would happen which I expected or what would come of the enemies becoming lovers. This book was unpredictable for me, as I could never see some things coming, which made the book a blast of fresh air to read. I loved the characters you were supposed to love and hated those we needed to hate. This book had everything I loved. Angst, hot scenes, loyalty, a fierce and protective brother, back-stabbing friends and alcohol! I thoroughly enjoyed the book and will be looking out for anymore of Kate's books.
Evie was an enigma and a lady who knows what she wants. I was shocked about the incident which happened before she went home and the repercussions from that incident. Considering what happened, she handled it a lot better than I think I would have done. But her drinking had some awkward and funny consequences. I loved her work ethic and the fact she is snarky but passionate. Evie is protected by her family but also is allowed to express herself in her chosen medium. Her brother is adorable, but how do you admit you've been with his best friend? Short answer. You don't. You hide that secret because the fallout could be catastrophic. Her and Dash are smoking hot and I loved reading them together. From the obvious 'hate' to the passion flowing between them. One of the things which humbled me was the blatant 'like' they both had for one another which clashed with the 'hate' they think they have for one another. They certainly did annoy the hell out of each other.
Dash. He certainly is a man's man. A guy who works two jobs, is an orphan and is just trying to get on with his life the best way possible. The love he has for his best friend and his best friend's mother is so sweet as he has no-one. But what happens when you sleep with his best friend's sister? Well, us readers get a great story and can be getting ready to shout at Dash his obvious feelings. That made me laugh in frustration because I wanted to bang their heads together some times. He certainly is a fantastic man with a great body and a killer personality. He is also very protective and loyal to his loved ones. I really enjoyed his adventurous ambition as well as his adrenaline junkie behaviour! The ski slope with Evie was great fun with hilarious outcomes! The scenes between Dash and Evie are out of this world and they certainly raise the temperature.

But can enemies really become lovers? Read Frigid and you'll find out through this amazing story! This book is a must-read as it'll have you laughing, shouting and falling in love.

*I received an ARC of this title at my request and am providing this voluntary review*

Dash and Evie have quite the enemies to lovers relationship. And when I say enemies, I mean they are enemies and hate each other more than anyone else on the planet. Their story was a very fun read, that packed a few twists and lots of drama and romance. At first I didn't think I was going to enjoy this book because of how deep their hatred for each other was embedded in their souls, but Kate surprised me by making this a very great story.

In Frigid we meet Evie. Just coming home for the holidays, fresh off a break up. And I mean fresh like happens the day she leaves for the holidays. Dash is asked to pick her up from the airport, and his love for Evie and Mason, Dashs best friend, makes reluctantly agree. From the moment the two lay eyes on one another they are both instantly filled with hatred for the other, but also drawn to them as it has been a few years since they'd last seen one another. Dash and Mason grew up best friends from the time they were children so Dash and Evie have had this animosity toward one another for over a decade.

As things start to unravel in their holiday travel plans, the two find themselves stranded alone. Things start to happen and the way everything plays out was simply so well written, I really can't wait to see what else Kate has in store for this series.

I really enjoyed the emotional roller coaster these characters pulled me on, as much as I enjoyed watching them grow as individuals and find a way to be at balance with one another. Great job!

Frigid is anything but! This book will steam up your kindle with the best of them! They say there is a thin line between love and hate, for Evie and Dash I'd say that line was very thick. There was definitely no love lost between these two!

When forces outside of their control throw them together, and you add a little alcohol along with some vengeful ex news you have one heck of a passionate night! What could be worse? Oh yeah, waking up to find it was with the one person that "dry humps your last nerve" (my favorite line from the book)!

The way these two came together, getting both povs, I couldn't put this one down! Evie is every girl! She's strong, stubborn, smart and takes no bull from anyone! The way she handles herself, I had nothing but admiration for her. And, Dash. He was just perfectly imperfect. Easy to fall for, and easy to hate. I think he is every man! I adore these two together! I can't wait to read more, I need more! There isn't what I'd call a true cliffhanger, but their story is far from over and I can't wait to finish the crazy intense ride that is Dash and Evie!

Discovering a new author is like having a new boyfriend; you have no idea what you're getting into. Although, discovering one that gets to your heart first short, like
the perfect first date, its ravishing. Especially when you're captivated by so many things. And Frigid is EVERYTHING but Frigid. It's actually very warm, hot... It's like a spicy salsa; all sort of ingredients mixed together. First, it's smart! It's realistic but never falls into boring. It's sweet and sour. It's hot chili peppers steamy! Its deliciously funny! And heart warming tasty. Exploring the hate/love bounding between two characters is always challenging because you need to dose rightfully each of them. Kate got that part perfectly well. I found myself laughing and really escaping into Frigid. And gladly, I savoured the end with satisfaction of not being left on a too harsh cliffhanging, just enough for me to want to read book 2 but not the frustration of an half cut orgasm. Do I recommend this book? Highly. It's flawless.

This book was fun read, an enemies to lovers with lots of funny banter between the hero and heroine. Dash and Evie's communication followed so easy, nothing was forced, natural hatred towards each other. I loved how they slowly went from hating each other to loving each other and appreciating the what they once ignored about each other. Evie King is a art student, after breaking up with her boyfriend she goes home to go on a trip with her brother (Mason), mother, and brother's best friend (Dash). Dash has been friends with Mason since they were kids, and is treated like family in the King household. The trip turns in to a revelation for both Evie and Dash, and they slowly start to fall in love.

This was an opposite attracts novel with tons of banter, fighting attraction toward each other, and lots of hate screwing each other. I recommend this book for anyone looking for an enemies to lover story with little angst. This was my first book by the author but not the last.

I received an ARC by the author an exchange for an honest review.

Another great book by Kate Benson!! I only discovered Kate's books recently but am quickly running through as many as I can.

Dash and Evie hate each other. The only reason they even tolerate being around each other is because Mason - Evie's older brother - is Dash's best friend. So when Evie and Dash find themselves uncontrollably attracted to each other, they have to get it out of their system, and quickly. But the best laid plans don't always go as expected.....

I loved the characters in Frigid. They were honest, rude, and hysterical. Evie and Dash are those 2 people that everyone knows - the ones who argue, insult each other, and bad mouth the other to anyone who will listen - and who you just wish would sleep together and get it over with. I found myself routing for one and then the other as the story progressed - and laughing through a good deal of the book.

If you're looking for a steamy, funny book with a great deal of sexual tension, then Frigid is for you!! I can't wait to see what happens next for these two!

I know when the blurb the author provides for a book has a warning "This book contains adult content intended for mature readers", it's going to be a good one!!

Evie's boyfriend cheated on her with her best friend. So guys are a definite NO in her book. However, one drunk night can/will change her life!

Dash tolerates Mason's little sister because they are best friends. He doesn't like her at all. However, one drunk night.....

Two enemies, Evie and Dash wake up in bed, naked.... together. Dash's best friend is Evie's brother . Great! He can't stand her as much as she can't stand him! What happens now?

This story had me captivated from the beginning! It's a great beginning to a new series because all the elements that suck you in are there as well as humor as the icing on the cake! Looking forward to seeing where this series goes!

Frigid is a good enemies to lovers book. Dash and Evie's dislike was apparent from the moment they got in the same space. The barbs and jabs were flying left and right. It quite entertaining. Evie is in a dark mood from a huge betrayal and being picked up at the airport by the last person she wants to see makes everything worse. It keeps getting worse and they made a disastrous drunken mistake.

Dash and Evie are hot hot hot! They way they choose to deal with their mistaken romp is unconventional, but again, entertaining. I like the family feel of the story. It makes the whole thing work. Evie's brother Mason could have gotten more story, or even more backstory to give him more depth.

I was entertained for the whole read and the cliffie didn't bother me that much because the story feels sort of wrapped up. The next chapter for this couple should be interesting!

This is my first time in reading this author. The characters in this starting with Mason and Dallas will pick your curiosity. One friend doing the other friend a favor will be the beginning of a turn in the road I would say for two of them. Dallas has seen Evie for a minute so when they both come face to face the fun begins. They way they talk to each other at first will have you mouth drop open, then as it keeps going along will have your rolling. Then when the turn the corner of no return you are kidnapped as it keeps going down the windy road with these two. I enjoyed this one so much especially when I was clueless on what to expect. First time two had to have a tissue or two for laughing so much especially when the mom corners Dallas. Seriously though as the last page was turned was not ready for the ending.

Dash and Evie haven't liked each other since they meet but with Evie being Dash's best friend sister he just tolerates her. When he picks her up from the airport he's like wow she's changed until she opens her mouth and he remembers why he doesn't like her. When they get stuck together in a hotel room due to a travel delay they decide to have some drinks.

I love the banter between Dash and Evie and her sass is funny. You will definitely swoon over Dash. This is my second book by Katie and her writing style pulls you in from the first page and makes you want more. Although the book doesn't end in a cliffhanger it leaves it open for more which I hope there is. Can't wait!

Very good book. First you see the best friends Dash and Mason. I saw there was tension or dislike from Dash of what seemed to be the bratty younger sister or Mason.

I can see where you are around someone so long there is a certain feeling, but then things change and people grow up. A lot has changed with the visit and the trip. Some is comical because it seems they can't stand each other. Too much is at stake and so.many things and people can be affected if they change.

I am ready to see what is in store for the next books. What will happen to Mason, Dash and Evie?

Good

This is the first nook I have read by Kate, and I really enjoyed it, it's a easy flowing read, like the main Characters Evie and Dash, there chemistry is good, not sure how Mason is gonna take the news specifically when he finds out how long it's been going on and his mum already knows. Looking forward to the next book.

I am a sucker for young adult romance, takes me back lol, but i also love it when the book has a love/hate spark between the characters. Kate Benson hits those parts of the book right on the head, her writing was easy to read, the story flowed well, and i must admit i did laugh at some moments throughout the story. I would really recommend this book for those new to Kate Benson, and to those who know her work already. Kept me very entertained reading this book

this book had it all, the falling in love with your brother friend and a enemy to friends to maybe love romance. I loved it. Dash and Evie have a weird relationship, that can't stand each other but one druken night changes all that now they can't get enough but is it real and how will they explain it to her brother Mason? loved it and I'm so ready to see what happens next.

I guess the saying "The more you hate, the more you love" applies to the main characters. They're two souls who were perfect for each other ever since but fate had other plans. They grew up despising each other's guts but I believe underneath the insults and stink eyes they would've thrown at each other is an undeniable and growing attraction. I'm glad they got over that. And yes, sneaking out can be really thrilling and hot at the same time. Can't wait to read the next book!
