When my parents died, a part of me died along with them. Nothing mattered anymore; everything lost its meaning. I lived my life in moments, good and bad, but somewhere along the way, I stopped living.
We only had each other, and Cade, he did a hell of a job looking after me. They doubted we could make it; they doubted our resolve.
Braxton has lived next door to us ever since we moved in with my aunt after the horrific accident. Cade took to him so quickly; they've been inseparable ever since. Their favorite pastime? Torturing me. But something has shifted between us recently, and I'm seeing him in a whole new light now. I know my brother will never accept it, but he's drawing me in like a moth to a flame.

This book has it all. The innocent girl next door with the protective big brother. The tragedy of what live has thrown at them. The hurt, fall out and lies. A live band that holds it all together and some juicy scenes that are laugh out loud funny.
'To pop you cherry. To clean out your pipes'.
I did not expect the ending which had me gripped.
Cade, Braxton and Emerson are lovable characters that make you keep on reading.
If you're looking for a light-hearted read, you may want to #1-click, Ultimate Game Changer! If you've read previous books by Kira Adams and enjoyed them like I have, I'm sure you are going to love this one. I liked the relationship between all the characters, and I enjoyed reading about the pranks they played on each other. The relationship between Cade and Emerson was sweet. Cade is the brother I'm sure every girl would love to have. Even though he was a bit over protective at times, I know he did it because he loved his sister! Emerson and Braxton's relationship was fun to read about too. The angst in their relationship kept me on the edge of my seat! A great story from Kira Adams!
This book had many good points but at times it was frustrating. I kept thinking, "why is Emerson still chasing after a man that is still whoring around?" I wouldn't want to keep chasing a man that sleeps with everything that is walking around. On top of that I kept wondering why her brother is so in her business but he can do anything he wants. I guess its that age old double standard that no woman understands.
Braxton is in Emerson's brother's band. They have also been neighbors since she moved in with her aunt after her parents died. They have a lot of history, a playful relationship, and when she decides she would like to move to the next level, Braxton is very hesitate. I didn't blame him at all, do you really want to ruin a 10 year friendship if it doesn't work out?
The back and forth will make your head spin but eventually it all comes together. They realize that sometimes your best friend is the best thing for you in relationship.
I really enjoyed this book but I was left with a few questions... Will there be a second one where we find out what she's having? Who gave the pictures of Em and Aiden to Cade? Their first time did he finish and if not wouldn't he have blue balls from hell lol? Also Cade jumped into marriage while he was dating Breigh so that's kind of messed up. I think both Cade and Breigh need their own books. I loved that it was a brothers best friend romance but he had feelings for her since they were little he just chose not to act on them because Cade would've killed him. All in all I would recommend this to others since it has everything from friendship to music to finding yourself.
A forbidden love between two childhood friends. An intense connection between right and wrong.
Emerson knows Braxton since a young age, Cade is her twin and Braxton's best friend. Used to be around one another, something changes in that tour, Braxton starts seeing Emerson with other eyes and the inevitable happens.
It was funny to see the things they do to each other, the bickering, the jokes, but the lust starts rising and they cant help it but act on it!
I think Cade needs his own book too...
It's a good book, although I felt like there were some parts that were rushed and others that were dragging too much and that's why I'm rating it 3 stars.
This is my first read by this author and I have to say I enjoyed it for what it was. There were moments where I was really frustrated with how the characters were acting. They seemed to act more teens than early 20s. The story overall was interesting and one of a kind. Lots of angst and emotional moments while Emerson and Braxton navigate a relationship. Once they were finally together, it was like YES! Their love was very sweet and endearing. Overall, this was a good read. Kept me on my toes with the dramatics LOL.
Cade, Em and Braxton's story is complex in its simplicity. Being the over-protective brother, Cade is making Em's life nearly unbearable. When the game changers happen for the twin siblings, their lives take the ultimate turn. This is a captivating book.
I am a little iffy about Ultimate Game Changer it is enjoyable but frustrating at the same time . This will be my first read by Kira Adams and I'v read the blurb to most of her other stories and I plan on reading them in the future . The characters are really likable at times I did want to shake some since into them but in the end they really grew on me . There is a lot of growing up for them , facing their fears and stop hiding from what you truly fell . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero = 7 heroine = 8 secondary characters = 8 Chemistry = 8 steam = 6 romance = 6 humor = 3 darkness level = 5 enjoyment = 8 angst = 6 action = 2 story line = 9 mystery = 3 character development = 10 pacing = 10 Plot = 9 cover = 10 stars = 4 author = 8 would I recommend this book = yes would I re read this book = yes would I read future books by this author = yes

This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, and my goodness, I was not disappointed! When tragedy brings twins Cade and Emerson moving, they end up next door to Braxton. Cade is over protective of Emerson, and as Braxton is his BF, she is totally off limits. However, feelings are being hidden, chemistry is being denied, and secrets and lies could be exposed. No spoilers give this one a go for yourself; you will not be disappointed! This is an enjoyable read, and I was hooked and intrigued throughout. I look forward to reading more of this authors work. The only downside in my opinion is that I felt some questions were left unanswered, not sure if there is a follow up novel!
Ultimate game changer is emotional and fun. Emerson and Braxton have been friends through her brother for years.
Ultimate Game Changer was a fun novel, that was well paced. I enjoyed the characters and the story, but was left feeling a bit unsatisfied. I had questions that I didn't receive answers to. I enjoyed watching them mature, they were relatable. Overall, the story was engaging, and I did enjoy reading it.

I love this book, it is a great read. Kira has done great yet again. I love the idea that two friends can become partners, it's like a dream. The story of twins who lost their parents and had to learn to cope with the loss as years go on, but, through it all they have each other. Cade also has his best friend, a friend for years and now that friend and his sister are looking at each other in a completely new way. The question now is what are the repercussions of them coming together, how will Cade feel? Will it work out? Will everyone be happy? The only way to find out the answers is to read the book yourself and love it as much as I did.
Kira Adams, Well done once again, I love the friends to lovers story, and all the juicy parts in between!
We have Emerson, who has a twin Cade, who basically has scared away all potential boyfriends... well Cade and his best friend Braxton... I loved Emerson, and her ability to stand up for herself! Feisty and taking charge. Braxton is all kinds of male yummyness, and knows it! I'm not saying anymore, definitely worth a read. Very well written with a nice pace throughout the book, that keeps you wanting more. (As a side note, Maybe a book about Cade next 😉)
This book was interesting, funny and exciting. The rock star storyline made it fun to read! Emmerson is a strong-willed female with a mission! She knows what and who she wants and that makes things with her brother Cade's best friend Braxton pretty interesting! At times the book felt like things were added that didn't really help the story and just made it drag a bit. It finishes well without a cliffhanger and that is always nice!
Loved this book! Adams has done it again with her outstanding writing. She keeps you turning the pages, cheering for your favorite couples. I loved the friends to lovers story & seeing how they had to work through everything to make it. The only part I was slightly disappointed in, I wish there had been an engagement ring at the end.
Emerson and Cade are twins whose lives changed at a young age when they lost both of thier parents. Cade is her protector and with the help of his best friend Braxton it's easy keeping g the boys away, but now they are grown and Emerson wants to live her life but with Cade not having and Braxton backing him up, she goes on tour with them where everything changes . loved it.
OMG!!! I fell in love with Braxton!! The boy next door, wow, how come non of the boys next to me were ever like that?? ;-) This is a really great read, I love all of Kira’s work, but this grabbed hold and you kept wanting more. Definitely worth a read. I loved it.
Absolutely amazing. I couldn't put it down. I've always love Kira's books. This one is my all time favorite. I hope she is planning on writing more on these characters they are just so easy to love.
This was a nice read. The beginning was a little slow for me though. At first I had trouble believing there was an attraction between two of the characters. As the story went on, I started to see it a bit more. Once I hit 45% the story took off and I couldn’t put it down. What I really liked about this story is how unique these characters are and by the end I saw how much they grew. The story doesn’t end how you think it will and I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice Miss Adams. I give this 4 stars.
I think this is my favourite story by Kira (except any Darkness books as they are just IT for me). I love the concept of friends to lovers and Kira did an amazing job here portraying siblings and brother's best friend. There is enough tragedy, drama and heartache but also she put perfect amount of humour.
We have here Emerson and Cade. Twins that would do anything for each other. Especially when tragedy hits their family. And there is Braxton. Boy next door. Cade's best friend. Totally off limits for Em. And same way she was off limits for Braxton.
But it definitely did not stop them.
The story is well written and plot was thought through. Loved it
Not a bad book. Over protective twin brother, innocent twin sister, hot best friend. Story line kind of dragged on. I never felt a solid connection with any of the characters. Everyone was wishy washy and couldn't make up their minds. I just wanted more details. More angst, more feelings. I wanted to feel that connection and I just didn't.
Ultimate Game Changer was a great book that I devoured in one sitting. Anytime there's a book about falling for a brother's best friend, well, it's filled with frustrating angsty goodness, as the push and pull kept me on the edge of my seat. Emerson and Cade are twins whose lives took a tragic turn that had them moving in next door to Braxton. Cade and Braxton became best friends instantly, and of course, throughout the years, Emerson started crushing on Braxton. But Cade is super over protective over her, and made it known that she's off limits to his best friend. Unfortunately, with feelings growing, chemistry shooting sparks, and secrets & lies all over the place, it's only a matter of time before things blow up. Kira Adams has a very talented writing style, as she drew me in from the very get go, and I was held hostage until the last page, so she's a new addiction for me. The secrets made for f-bomb dropping loudly all over the place, and boy did I drop em loud! I'm trying to be very careful so no spoiler douchery appears, but this is one of those stories that I just want to start breaking down page by page. With the gushing above, you may wonder why I only gave it 4 stars. See, I still have some unanswered questions that have me all kinds of jacked up, so hopefully there's another book coming out, so I don't lose my mind. However, since I'm jacked up with this issue, it proves that this author is awesome because I'm hooked. So I can do nothing less than HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this addictive story to ALL!
This was your typical brothers best friend type read. Lots of, we can, we shouldn’t, going on, with the typical side of, brother finds out and is mad.It wasn’t in a horrable way, but I honestly didn’t find anything really unique about the story. Yes, we have a tour for a band, that was cool, but other then that..... it just followed (to me) the same formula that most brothers best friend books follow. I liked the character. Emerson was sweet but also has some sass. The character interaction was huge in this book which I really liked. We didn’t have page after page of internal dialogue which is always a huge plus for me (there was some, just not enough to annoy me).
I really would have liked seeing some events leading up-to Braxton (love that name!) and Cade getting a tour deal and stuff, or even how this decade long friendship started. (There was a part towards the end about them have knowing each other for 10 years but then he didn’t know their parents (who died) name.... that just didn’t make sense to me). It was just like BAM we’re going on tour with no real build up. I think a prologue would have went a long ways with this book. I will say I liked Cade, even when he was being annoying. The ending was pretty abrupt and annoyed me, and I would’ve liked to of seen an epilogue but hopefully will get a book with Cade (I couldn’t find one that was released) 4 stars #2OCCJD
This is a slow building, omg can it just happen, does that line have to be repeated again, book. I will say that I want to read more about the characters because they are so well written. Biggest flaw... the main character is whiny.
This book was the first book I have read from this author...I had read the synopsis and was definately intrigued...for me this one had all the makings of a book I could really sink my teeth into...
Brothers best friend...check Friends to lovers...check (kinda) Childhood nemesis...check
I was really excited to get into this one...the writing was on point and the story had all the ingredients for a perfect book for me...but I just kind of felt like I couldn't get underneath the surface of this one...I don't know why and it frustrated me!
I wanted nothing more than to lose myself in the struggles of these characters, feel like I was a part of this story, be right there in the moment feeling the highs and hurting in the lows and to the most extent I got a part of that....but I got to the end of this one and felt like I needed something more...
The characters had a familiarity to their relationship and a connection that was completely undeniable. As I read through the pages it was clear that this one was really well written with an abundance of definitive moments where all the feels aligned!!!
Whilst this one may not have completely resonated with me...it will with others!!!
With an honesty to it that you can't deny this one is a story tracing the journey of childhood friends to lovers with all the things in between!!
I'm a huge Kira Adams fan and have read every book she's written. This may be the best book that she's written to date. I'm a sucker for a friends to lovers story with grit. Ms. Adams definitely delivers on the grit. The perfect balance of an obnoxiously overprotective twin brother, the guy next door who grows into a love interest, the ups and downs of being a band on the road. Throw in some heat, a little bit angst and this story blooms into an "ultimate" must read.
*I voluntarily received and read an ARC provided by the author.
Hero was definitely the typical man whore. There were so many ups and downs and it took a while for them to actually be together. But when they finally did get together it was a little anti-climactic. Cade was POS, I guess the theme of this book was everything happens for a reason but I did not like the way he treated Emerson's friend and how overbearing he was. I feel like this book didn't end well. The ending didn't give me much and I feel like it was all just left up in the air with their relationship. At least there should've been an epilogue a couple months into the future.
I really wanted to love this book. It had all the basic ingredients for an excellent book and storyline, but I regret to admit that I struggled with it. I thought that the characters lacked connection and chemistry. One minute Braxton and Emerson were just friends, annoying each other like siblings, and the next we were supposed to believe that they really desired one another. I wasn't sold on their love and lust for one another. There was no real build-up about their finer feelings. I found Emerson's brother annoying and something of a hypocrite. I also felt that the ending was rushed and kinda left me hanging - it wasn't a cliffhanger but I felt that I needed a rounder finish.
Overall, could have been a lot better, a lot smoother, and more convincing.
