Deuce offers his service to the highest bidder and lately Colonel Malachai has been the man footing the bill. But now the insane ex-soldier has tasked him with an assignment he may not be able to come back from...who was he kidding he is a freaking lion and his species wasn't called the King of the jungle for no reason. He'll do the job, collect his pay and go ghost because after this even his friends will become his enemies.

Noir is the only name she goes by. Cajun transplants from Canada, she and her twin Lumiere are part of the Wolverine sneak. Actually, her clan had to relocate since they pretty much decimated the Rabbit herd...but hey, the Goddess shouldn't have made those bunny shifter's taste so damn good. Still as a sentry she had a job to do and currently that was training the children of Betaille how to survive in the swamp. Things could be worse she could be stuck in Volkshire like her sister.
Another day in swamp paradise, she was happy until a lion shifter darkened her doorstep and tried the unthinkable, to claim her. Hard as she might try to keep her beast under control it was time to show the lion why animals didn't screw with a wolverine. He would get a dose of crazy he wasn’t prepared for...war has begun.

Kassanna

Kassanna is a strong believer in love at first sight and happily ever afters. After meeting her husband in November and marrying him three months later in February the two have survived and mostly enjoyed every adventure life has thrown their way. Ten years, two children, a couple of dogs and a wild turkey that came out the woods and somehow adopted them - later- the adventure continues.

Writing has always been her passion but fate sometimes has other roads that must first be taken . Navigating the road less traveled was not only unexpected but in the end extremely rewarding. Her books are mainly contemporary romance but she has delved into the paranormal and plans on expanding into other areas as the ideas come to her. Right now she is enjoying life and seeing her work come into fruition make it that much more pleasurable especially when her books make others smile. Kassanna wouldn't have it any other way.

Had to go back to the 1st book to rehash the action of the story line. I still say these are great action packed reading 📚. I was a little mift with ending of this one, just when it was in the middle of crazy got cut. Hopefully the story drama doesn't take long to hit the shelves. Still want to know about some romance matings that started but have been put on hold. Thanks for keeping this particular series in line with strong crazy woman. 🍿🍸

No end

When I started this series I expected that each book would have an issue and a conclusion. After the first 3 books there began to be more questions than answers. The time gaps and constant manipulation without results is getting annoying. I've checked multiple times and there is no end to this series as the last installment was published years ago. The author's writing is wonderful but I don't like unfinished series.

I read all 10 books and other than the typical typo's, i.e., misspelled words, wrong character names... I really liked the story line! I hated the "dead" endings. The story endings made "no sense"! But if you like those last two statements, then you will give these books 5*'s!!
btw, what book comes after 'Noir' ?

That Malachai is a sick piece of work. He is cunning, devious and dare I say it a strategic genius. He wreaks havoc and is untouchable. He’s pissed off a lot of shifters.
Deuce and Noire are meant to be. Both are crazy as hell.
This book was a wild ride and I hope we’ll get to read that the kids are ok in the next book.
Great read!

Story stops in the middle. It is unfinished. There is a rape scene, trying to normalize a man not having control is OK and the woman moves on after sulking for a bit, which I hate and skipped.

This novel is not worth 1 star.

Hard to keep track

I have read all the books in this series and the other. This was a mash Of a lot gingham together. Deuce and Noir did not have big enough rolls. Then it just ends in a massive cliffhanger.😣

Enjoyable read. The dynamic between the groups in this battle is getting extremely complicated and hard to follow. Hopefully the next book makes things a little clearer.

Strange ending

Story ended in the middle of the story line, typos and wrong names. Geez more questions than answers. Hope the last book clears things up.

Took a minute..

It took a minute to see Noir and Deuce as a couple, especially after their mating. But I soon changed my mind because crazy deserves crazy..

Not a complete story.

If you want a story with an ending. . .you won't find that here. There are ways to end a book that is part of a series but this is not it.
