Warning: This book contains somewhat vivid episodes of torture, torment, language, and strong sexual content. I scaled back some parts but there are graphic depictions of each.
This book also contains some laughter, truth, and inner growth.
Matthew began hearing voices at age 14. Now at age 27, he’s had enough of their torment. He’s been through enough of their tortures. He thought his life was hell. He ends up getting a good picture of hell both literally and figuratively.
For 13 years, Matthew was a basket case that couldn’t speak without his voice breaking. Work became his favorite place to be. With no friends, no life, and growing suicidal tendencies, Matthew plods through his days with his eyes on the ground and his hopes even lower. The voices in his head never eased up on him. They broke him down into nothing.
Clara, the new girl at work, appeared to be as nervous and damaged as Matthew. He was shocked to find his voices were captivated by Clara. They even offered a truce. If Matthew agrees to try and get to know Clara, they will end the torment. Of course, the voices betray Matthew. This starts the awakening he needed.
Through some strange circumstances, he gets help. As he comes out of his shell, he awakens to a sexual frenzy that couldn’t be normal. After work, his evenings become sexual adventures that even porn movies would scoff at in disbelief. His nights are pain filled endurance trials of the cruelest nature.
What if you could see every single person naked at all times knowing what you saw was the truth? What if your sexual needs would be answered no matter the frequency or sexual act desired? What if you got alerts ahead of time that could save your life? What if eternal torment in hell was your destination no matter what you tried to do about it?
These questions and more plague Matthew as he comes out of his shell. His journey isn’t an easy one but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
