So this book was pretty awesome and if I hadn't read CM Steele's other book entitled Bound, I would say this book was Perfect.
However, now that I know she is capable of more, the bar is set higher for me. And this is why I gave it a 4 stars and not a 5 stars like this story really deserves.
SORRY, BUT I'M BEING REALLY HONEST HERE!
This storyline was sweet and simple, with the hard working heroine Danielle showing up for her cousin's shotgun wedding.
Little did she know that she would be confronted by a very VERY prejudiced hero named Marco.
Marco, was convinced that Danielle and her whole family were opportunistic users and gold diggers.
He tells her
“Listen, did you think laying in here was going to make me throw myself on you and you could be just like your cousin? Bagging a billionaire.”
To which she answers
"Oh, so you must be Marco, the asshole. I don’t want you. Do you think looks and money make up for a lack of character? I hope Vincenzo is better than you because I’ll take my cousin out of here and help her get on her feet to take…”
So these two felt every bit as passionately about protecting their loved ones.
But they also felt passionately about each other.
The hero thinks
It wasn’t until I saw her that I missed sex. To me it had been just a way to get off, but after getting almost trapped by a woman with her lies, I lost any interest in sex. Now all I wanted was to fuck my baby into Danielle.
And she thinks
I wanted him, too, even though my experience wasn’t greater than a couple of kisses and some lousy attempts at being felt up. I bet that he could touch my breasts and I would melt against his hands.
Now, what happens when these two can no longer deny their heart desires and their bodies longing?
I'll give you a hint, it was INTENSE AND STIMULATING!
This book was almost perfect, with an 3 EPIC EPILOGUES years later.
This was both sweet and complete.

I didn’t know what to expect from this short story since I've never read anything written by this author before. And when I finished reading this, it was quite a surprise to me. I can’t explain exactly why I did enjoy it, but I can tell you that my first C.M. Steele’s book was a success.
Actually, there was nothing new in this story—insta-love/lust, the hero wanted to claim the heroine as his since he first laid eyes on her, the virgin heroine… What else I haven’t read before?! Anyway, this book simply satisfied me in more ways than one. It just hit the mark for me!
In this novella, we meet Marco Denali, a sexy Italian billionaire, and Danielle Downey, a beautiful wedding guest.
Danielle was invited to her cousin’s wedding in Sicily. She had been warned that the groom’s brother despised her family. She wasn’t thrilled to go to his house, knowing that she was going to be another unwelcome guest. But since her cousin sounded so miserable, she decided to be there for her. So, it would be in her best interest to stay as far away from him as possible throughout the ceremony.
Marco thought that his brother was getting married to a gold digger, so he supposed that Danielle wasn’t any better than the bride. But the moment he saw her, his only thought was to have her in his bed and make her scream out his name in ecstasy. He never experienced any feelings like this before. In fact, he should hate this woman, but instead, he couldn’t take his eyes off her the entire ceremony.
As the story progressed, I became more and more invested in these two characters. Danielle was adorable in her own way, and yes, I liked her.
Five golden stars for Marco Denali! Oh yeah, he was such a swoon-worthy guy. I liked how crazy he was for Danielle and how possessive he felt toward her. Ooh…I want this man! What can I say? I just can’t resist possessive and protective heroes.
Although there wasn’t much of the plot here, the sex scenes were super steamy your panties will melt off!
All in all, if you’re looking for a sexy, smutty, and very quick read with OTT hero and independent heroine, then this one might be right up your alley.

What the hell was this?!
It's a 60-page book and I skipped most of it.
The characters were awful, they had no personality and no backbone. The heroine was so very "strong" but she gave up her life and everything in it after receiving an orgasm, because hey, that makes sense, right?! And I do mean after one orgasm (she was a virgin before this guy). She actually started out pretty strong, but then it felt like she was a totally different person. It was like two different people wrote this character then they just mashed the two together.
Even the sex was damn boring (not that I bothered reading anything after the first two sentences).
This is what happens when you have nothing else to read and you're stuck somewhere- you end up reading whatever you can get your hands on. It's no wonder people choose to play Candy Crush instead.
I'll get the matches!

This was a fast, short read - classic CM Steele. Chocked full of instalove, OTT alpha behavior and a HEA to boot!
Marco initially was a real jerk. I don't mind that one bit, as long as it's short lived and he makes up for it by falling head over heals- which he did.
Being such a short story, I didn't feel a very strong connection with the back story of any of the characters. Danielle was a decent heroine.

First half has made me to give 3 rating, but in last half that was Splendid.

Super hot and short CM Steele style story. This reminded me of some of her older stories that were to die for! Lately I haven't been completely loving Ms Steele's stories so this definitely brought back all those original feels!
Danielle and Marco are not really fans of each-other when they first meet. But eventually the sexual tension gets to them both and they cannot help but succumbs to their feelings for each-other.
An overall great read with an alpha male and a good dose of insta-love!

Another great sexy short read by C.M Steele! Marco is suspicious when it comes to his brother's fiancee and her family. Our heroine Dani is a cousin of the bride and Marco falls fast and hard for her but he thinks she is a gold-digger. That doesn't stop him from seducing her though! Loved the sexy alpha hero and the innocent but feisty heroine. Epilogue with 3 kids was super cute! Only thing I hated was the vasectomy thing. Bummer!

They were extremely attracted to one another but had huge misconceptions about each other. It didn’t help that Marco wasn’t very nice in the beginning. Once Marco discovers he was wrong he is all in and knows Danielle is his one and only.

This was a great quick read. No angst, no cliffhanger, just straight fiction, lust at sight then love. If you're looking for the drawn out twist and turns storyline this isn't for you. If you want chemistry and and a quick to the point storyline this fits the bill. I loved it, my only complaint was it was over too soon.

This is my first C.M. Steele story and possibly my last. How do you jump from dislike to losing your virginity within the space of hours. Oh, and "halfway to love"?
There were just too many leaps from avoidance to acceptance and without pushback or disagreement.
I own a few of her books, assuming she was like Sam Crescent. I will read the others and hold out hope for a better outcome.

The Wedding Guest by C.M. Steele was a great, fiery read. Quick it was, but lacking it did NOT!
I have never read this author, but I am eager to have more.

Another great sexy novella by CM Steele. This is just a story about love at first sight and fighting that feeling. Danielle gets asked by her cousin to show up to her shotgun wedding and she goes for her cousin . What she doesn’t really know is that when she got there she would pretty much get confronted by the groom’s brother Marco and practically accused of being a golddigger, that he accuses the whole family of being mercenary.
Danielle is far from mercenary. She works hard and only came to lend her cousin support. When Marco and Danielle are around each other, the sparks fly and they have this fiery connection. Marco is deep in lust and half way in love while Dani doesn’t know what she feels for jerkface Marco yet everytime they are around each other, sparks abound. Marco is determined to see Dani in a bad light --That doesn't stop him from seducing her though- There are twists and turns in this story and it was wrapped up fairly quickly—my only issue is this was sort of short. I would have liked this alittle longer. I felt maybe this needed alittle more but otherwise Loved Loved the banter and the chemistry between the MC. And the ending was awesome!

This was a quick but adorable story from C.M. Steele. Lord Marco Denali of Italy has just received news from his older brother, Vincenzo that he's getting married. Marco is shocked to hear this because his brother has been on a business trip to NYC, Chicago and Dallas for the past three weeks. He is very suspicious of his new sister in law thinking his brother must have been tricked by an American gold digger. Dani is 22 years old, the assistant district manager of a major department store. She doesn't associate with her family except for her cousin, Nicole. She's surprised when she receives a wedding invitation in Italy for her cousin because as far as she knew Nicole wasn't even dating anyone. Nicole calls her and begs her to come to Italy telling her how Vincenzo's younger brother doesn't like her. Dani feels bad for Nicole so she agrees to go if only to put the arrogant Marco in his place. March doesn't expect the reaction he has when he meets Dani, his new sister in law's cousin. Sweet story with a hot alpha Italian man and his American woman and it has 3 epilogues.

C M Steele has once again done what she does best, create magic!! I am a die hard fan of romance and most of my time is spend living in dreamland of alpha male heroes and sweet insta love!! Add to that denying your feelings and clashes between the love birds I my formula for a hit story. I was crazy excited when I read the book blurb and couldn't wait to get my hands on the ARC!! Finished this book in flat 2 hrs and boy oh boy I am in love!! Marco and Dani were the perfect lovers at first sight yet fighting off their feelings for each other!!! Hot, steamy, sexy, sizzling is what I could describe the attraction between them. Plus I am anyways a bit biased with Italian alpha male heroes!!! It was one of the best well spent hours of my Friday night!!!

WTF did I just read? 70 pages of drivel that read like it was written by a middle schooler. I am at a loss how several of the reviewers gave this short the same 5 stars that they gave a Kristen Ashley book. But hey, different strokes. For me it is 45 minuets of reading time that I will never get back. I am just glad it was free.

Marco had just been thinking he'd found the perfect woman...for his older brother, Vincenzo. However, when Enzo calls and informs Marco he's engaged to a woman he's known less than a month, and she's pregnant, Marco is not only shocked, but positive Enzo is making a huge mistake, and being trapped into it. Marco agrees to be Enzo's best man in two weeks, and that means doing his best to get the wedding cancelled.
Danielle is an assistant district manager, and though she may be young to hold such a position, she's worked hard for it and continues to do so. When she receives a wedding invitation from Nicole, her younger cousin she isn't all that close to any longer, Dani is surprised, not to mention curious because she had recently been dating a different man. Danielle agrees to go, simply because her Nicole is painting a picture of a man that only views her, and their pending marriage and parenthood, as a mistake.
Marco already had low expectations for Nicole's family, and in his eyes their behavior proves he was correct. There's one more family member arriving and Marco is sure she'll be just like the others, without manners or class.
Though Dani is dreading seeing her family as she's all too familiar with their tendency to be rude and obnoxious, even more so when liquor is available, she does love Nicole, knowing she has a good heart.

Danielle is an assistant district manager, and though she may be young to hold such a position, she's worked hard for it and continues to do so.
