Lily Thompson has watched over her little brother most of her life, so when he gets in trouble with the mob, she approaches Dante Moretti about settling his debt. He isn’t interested in her first offer and negotiates with a counteroffer—one that has her in his bed and at his mercy. She may be in over her head, but it’s her heart she has to worry about as she starts to warm up to the seemingly ruthless mobster, who finds her equally compelling. Can there be a happy ending for a Mafioso underboss and a sweet nurse, or is their negotiation destined to end in bullets and heartbreak?
Negotiation, Acquisition and Merger are part of the MAFIA ROMANCE series. They may be read as standalones, but reading all in order will enhance your enjoyment. All include super hot sex, no cheating and happily-ever-afters.
3,5 stars. I read this book because I read somewhere it was sort of the same story as "Roman: A Bad Boy Mafia Dark Romance (Triple Threat)" which I actually enjoyed a lot. So a few alterations in names and the profession of the h (a nurse instead of a teacher) but a lot of the story is literally the same. Until you get half way through. Negotiation is a softer, watered down version of Roman. The H is not as intense and the chemistry and dynamics between the MC is also different. Also, the turning point in Roman has completely been left out in this book. The role of the brother a complete 180. In the end it was funny how the same story can be edited in a way to give it a completely different vibe. But I prefer the darker Roman.
As with the rest of the books from this author this was also previously published under the name R.E. Saxton and was not edited or changed in any way for re-release. This is book 1 of 4 in the Just Business series and seems to be separate from the Mafia Romance series even though they have been bundled together. This is not a dark romance though their is some mild violence and ends with an HEA. I would recommend if you are looking for a very short fun read.
