Hell on Earth rejoins Nick McCarty’s crew and John Harding’s Monster Squad, ripping through terrorists; Black Lives Matter anarchist thugs, treasonous Washington DC politicos, and their billionaire enablers. The Saudi Arabia Al-Kazar family’s new leader, Kalil, wants them dead at all cost.
Kalil Al-Kazar targets killers without peer. The Unholy Trio and Monster Squad strike back without mercy. None of the usual suspects can shield against, or survive their fury. The Chicago killing fields get a taste of El Muerto solo justice when CIA Director Paul Gilbrech asks him to save his stepdaughter and grandchild. Nick carves a buffer zone in the killing fields through gangsters, corrupt politicians, and the political hierarchy abandoning the windy city to deadly chaos, if the citizens can hold on to it.

I have read all of this series up until now. I just finished Book 7 and it will the last one I read. This series started out as very interesting, but it has reached a point where there are so many main characters that have all sorts of weird names ie; Muerto, Kabong, Cracker, Reaper, Payaso and on and on. There are so many characters in this book its confusing trying to keep track of all of them. This book seems to me as though it is very "wordy," there's a lot of extra crap that doesn't pertain or doesn't matter to make the story. Honestly, to me this book was very boring and I couldn't wait to be done with it. The other six previous ones were great. I'll wait until another series comes out then I try reading Mr. De Leo again.
Ok where is Book 9? The Nick MCarty series can’t end here! The cliff hanger of a ending there has to be more . Bernard DeLeo weaves intrigue , humor and romance to this thriller.
Great story, great guy and all his pals, love everything about this series! I have the John Harding books, real all, love combining these two together.
The books are exciting, fun, informative, and thought -provoking. I wish we really had men like this. I can't get enough of these books. Neither can my husband who was a Vietnam Veteran. He explains things I'm not sure about. God Bless America!
Another great story taking on the people who are supposed to be representing the US , instead are selling it out to every anti American country for money. Nick brings his justice to all. A good crossover story once again.
Not recommended reading material for liberal zombies
Hell on Earth definitely meets and exceeds DeLeo fans' expectations. The Unholy Trio (aka Reaper and the Unholy Trio), working hand in hand with the Monster Squad, deal with terrorists and death threats instigated by a treasonous Congresswoman and her enablers.
John Harding fights a Sumo wrestler, Jean and Sonny take on six bullies, Cala the Cleaner gets a new name, the crime rate in Chicago sees a decrease, and terrorists are imported on a container ship.
In the future story, Political Malaise, Rachel is a councilwoman in their town being overrun by Somalis. Goon squads and voter fraud have ensured the election of a Somali mayor. There is much work to be done.
In the first book in the Hard Case series, newcomers learn how it all started. John Harding is fighting opponents in an old warehouse while the local politicians, who wouldn't miss a fight, look the other way.
John's day job is bringing in bail jumpers and providing escort and bodyguard services. He is in the process of setting up his own business and picking up his crew along the way. They use some pirates for target practice until backup arrives. Sadly Harding is hooked up with the shrewish Tess who continually has to be rescued and never says thank you.
If the Grammar Nazi had proofread this book, she would have corrected 279 errors, 110 in Hell on Earth, 13 in Future Story, and 156 in Hard Case. All of DeLeo's books are beyond compare, and I have enjoyed every one.
hHate the politics but love the stories and the characters. i love the dichotomy between Nick the family man and good, loyal friend and Nick the psychopathic assassin. I also greatly enjoy the novellas about an adult Jean and Sonny. Good storytelling. The author is correct...most readers don't care about an occasional misspelled word or misplaced comma....it's the story that counts. Anyone who has ever been a victim of violence understands feelings of revenge. Most don't act on them but we understand the feeling. Re-read january,2018. Still actionpacked. Decent dialogue.. Re-read again, june of 2019. Guilty pleasure. Re-read yet again in may, 2020 during covid pandemic.
