Storm and Aaron's family drama was the most interesting part of the story and rest was just bleh. Maybe in the future I'll come back to this book and finish it (I do love this world and newer books are much better than earlier ones) but right now I'm just "skim, skim, skim"
I love this series, and I especially loved this installment. The main reason being that I totally needed the addition, and resolution, of the family drama for Storm and Aaron on top of the craziness surround the mating fiasco of Liam and Xavier. Aaron and Storm are brothers who had a rocky start, but we now get the whys, and it was a doozy.
In the last book, I was all about assuming that Xavier was shunning his mate because he was a created rogue and evil demon before being turned into part angel and pure of heart. He had no say in his past, and though I understood Xavier’s issue, I was still saddened by the hurt he inflicted on Liam. Until we find out that he is not intentionally shunning his mate, but that a darker force is in play and unless they can find the culprit, Liam and Xavier have no chance of a future, and Xavier could die, too.
With Maggie Walsh you never know what direction her stories going to diverge from what you think will happen next. It has been that way from the first book I’ve ever read by her. These stories are always very sexy, mysterious, and are fast paranormal reads. Books that I know I will enjoy and never hesitate to pick up. The blurbs barely give you a hint of the surprises you’ll find inside, and for that reason alone, I highly recommend this book, and this Angel Pack series.
Rating: 4 stars. I love this series. I particularly like the way the author doesn't focus on just one couple throughout each book. This book was about two distinct events. First there was the mating between Liam and Xavier. My one criticism of this story arc was I thought the resolution was a bit clunky. Other than that, I really enjoyed reading about Liam and Xavier and their struggle. The other story arc involved the return of Storm and Aaron's parents. I loved this part of the story. I felt that we finally got resolution as to why Storm acted the way he did throughout the beginning of the series. The final resolution of this conflict was very satisfying. I personally don't recommend reading this as a stand alone. I highly recommend the Angel Pack series as a whole and this book in particular was great addition.
I have read this whole series so far and each book just gets better there is never a dull moment and every character has a different personality Noah is my favorite I just think he is the most precious character. Can't wait for Cass story.
