When a stunning woman sits down at a counter where chef Vin is attempting to create gourmet dishes, he decides that she should be banned from sitting so close to him. It turns out that she will not be leaving his sight as Darla is the new wine rep in charge of pairing his cuisine with her wines. Listening to her wine presentations that put him on the edge, he categorizes her as light, full-bodied and himself as screwed. Can these two pair up outside of Cafélicious?

Fifi Flowers, an internationally known artist turn author from the Los Angeles area of California, writes romance novels and paints fantasies with a Parisian flair while daydreaming of her time spent sipping cafe crème in the cafes of Paris
She penned her love of Paris and romance to the pages of her first novel, A Window To Love, published in 2013, when she sat down, and instead of putting paint to paper, put her pen to paper and began her first novel. Since that first novel, Fifi has self-published several contemporary romances and has many more in the works.
I knew I loved Saturday for a reason. Darla is one who knows what she wants has no problem going after. What she wants is our favorite chef Vin.
Saturday:Light, Full Bodied & Screwed is told strictly in Vin's POV. This give us ladies a little peek into the workings of the male mind. Ladies you will LOVE this because we finally get to see that men are just as lost and confused as we are when it comes to the opposite sex.
Also if you haven't noticed Fifi co-wrote this book with Maxwell Anthony. Congrats you two did an amazing job!!
I thought she was my one and only forever. Funny how things changed when the real one came along and you realized that the first one was just a warm-up.
My Review:
Another delightfully naughty, sweet, and sexy novella featuring the personnel and friends of Cafélicious. This installment featured Chef Vin and was the only novella in the series written from a male point of view. Darla rocked his world and had him thinking and daring to want more than his happy routine and comfortable café kitchen. Darla was a handful but she was willing to put in the time to get her plan together and play the long game. I appreciate how the series was interconnected and continued on with the characters from previous installments, yet each story was complete and could stand alone, although, what’s the fun in that? Read them all!
Why, why is the week almost done? I want this series to continue non stop. Please Fifi Flowers keep creating amazing books like this one. Saturday - Light Full Bodied and Screwed is the sixth book from the Hookup Café series and I really want go find a café just like this one. This book explores the life's of Vin and Darla. Vin is a chef at Cafélicious cafe and loves his job. He's a defender of local products and can do wonders with them. He thought that his life was complete until the beautiful Darla appears in front of him. And the rest is history. Beautiful book. Beautiful characters as well as an amazing plot. Like the other 5 book this one enlighten the importance of love in out lifes. Love can be found when you least expect it. Trust your heart and let go. I'm in love with this Café. And I can't wait for Vixen's book.
Saturday: Light, Full Bodied and Screwed is the sixth installment of the Hook-up Café by Fifi Flowers and co-writer Maxwell Anthony.
Finally Vin’s book is here! If you’ve read the whole Hook-Up Café series up until now, you’ll know that Vin has made small appearances throughout the series, but now he’s getting the spotlight he deserves.
Fifi Flowers pulled a 180, as she gives us Vin’s point of view throughout the book. I’ll admit, I don’t read many stories where it’s the guys point of view, but I felt that Fifi Flowers and Maxwell Anthony did a great job. Watching this man fall in love with Darla was beautifully done.
I highly recommend to those who want to read a quick, yet fulfilling story to take a chance on the Hook-up Café series.
Tempting Sexy Thoughts **ARC for an Honest Review**
Vin and Darla were my favorite couple from this series. The uncertainty between the two made this HEA such a joy to read. There is no better combination than food, wine and true love. I highly recommend this book.
Sorry to say this book did not grab my interest. Hate to give a bad review, but I couldn't get fully submerged in the story. It lacked many things for me in order to keep me interested.
Oh my goodness, just when I think I know what to expect in the next Cafelicious novella, Miss Flowers throws a loop! It was AWESOME to see things through our main character, Vin, especially when we got glimpses of him throughout the series. I was enraptured through the story and it was so fascinating and unique to get a, realistic look inside a mans head as he falls in love.
From the very first novella, I have been utterly HOOKED on this series! Each one is different and unique and special in its own way, and I ADORE the fact that they all are addicting to read. But Saturday felt even more special. It was a completely fantastic read, especially as I felt like I wasn't just seeing through a mans eyes, but I WAS the man. It was hard not to be perked up by that. It made for such a great reading experience and quite honestly I am VERY impressed!
Fifi Flowers did a great job with Saturday: Light, Full-Bodied, and Screwed! I loved Vin, I loved the way we got to experience the cooking through him as well as see things and do things through a mans perspective. It was incredible and VERY well written. I give this a STUNNING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! If you want a completely different read and want to experience love and lust through a man...you will ADORE Saturday!
I really enjoyed getting a man's point of view in this book. Vin the chef at Cafélicious finally gets his chance at love when he meets Darla at a wine & food pairing event. She is very flirty and fun but Vin has been trying to focus on his career & wants to stay professional. Darla's persistence pays off though when Vin can't get her off his mind & finally makes a move. They end up spending more & more time together, he discovers her family owns a vineyard & how much they have in common. He wants to take their relationship to the next level but worries how committed she is, she might run away like her wandering parents. Plus he has to win over Darla's grandfather who's none too pleased that he's hanging around! Once he learns of an abandoned restaurant on the vineyard property he sees his future laid out in front of him, but will he be able to make it happen?
This is Vin's story, he is the head chef at the cafe. When he meets the wine rep, Darla, his world is thrown for a loop. He has dreams of opening his own restaurant one day and really only focuses op that. This was a fun story and the things Darla did to get his attention were just hilarious. I truly loved this book and sad to see the end of this series. I can't wait for more from Fifi, i love her work.
Saturday: Light, Full Bodied & Screwed by Fifi Flowers is the sixt novella in the Hookup Cafe series. This is Vin and Darla´s book. Vin is the chef in Café Delicious. And there is Darla, a regular customer who makes his heart flutter. I greatly enjoyed reading about all the characters and see how Vin slowly looses his mind about Darla. 5 Stars and Thank you Fifi Flowers!
We finally get Chef Vin's story. Chef Vin has been with Pansie and Cafelicious! from the beginning. Chef Vin loved to cook and create wonderful meals! Enters Darla, the wine rep for the cafe. Darla was great at her job and started wine pairing events with the cafe. Chef Vin enjoyed creating new dishes for the wine pairing events even though he felt awkward around Darla because he was attracted to her.
Vin and Darla danced around their attraction for each other until finally Vin took Darla up on her offer to take him on a winery tour for wine tasting. During the wine tour, the attraction between the two finally comes to a head and they act on it. Vin and Darla finally admit their feelings for each other and started a relationship. As their relationship progresses, Vin starts to realize his dream of owning his own his own restaurant and wanting Darla to be in his life permanently.
Vin is such a hot and romantic guy who could cook perfectly. It was great to read a story from a man's point of view.
Another cute novella from Fifi Flowers. I loved how she's creative with how the characters meet. This one was during a wine tasting event at the cafe. Vin, the chef at Cafelicious, was smitten when he heard Darla talking about wine & what foods it goes with. Then when she sat at his counter, he was a goner. The flirting between the two was fun to read & I enjoyed getting to know them better. I was all smiles when Darla took him to meet her family & then finding out something BIG. I felt Fifi's Hookup Cafe novella series was a light fun & enjoyable read.
*I received a copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
**Carla's Four Star Review Saturday: Light, Full Bodied & Screwed is the 6th novella in the Hookup Cafe series.
Anytime you combine food, alcohol, and sex, things are sure to become explosive! In this novella, Chef Vin gets his shot at love. While putting on several culinary events, Vin meets a sexy wine rep named Darla, and he falls hard for her. Things are rocky at first because all that Vin wants to focus on his opening his own restaurant. When these two finally find themselves on the same page, everything comes together and works out fine. Super, fabulous read!!
Another awesome addition to the Hookup Cafè series. Love Vin and Darla's story. This one is my favorite. It's a little bit different because it's told from a male's POV. This was a good, funny and sexy fast read. Can't wait to read Martini Sunday. I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
Vin and Darla complimented each other so well, right on down to business. I loved that Darla was the pursuer. Vin was sweet and he made sure he was deserving of Darla.
I loved the lead in to Vixen’s story too. I can’t wait for that.
*I voluntarily read an advanced reader’s copy of this book*
This story is about Vin who is the full time chef at the Café. He loved cooking ever since he was a young boy. Then there is Darla who he liked and smelled amazing. She was flirting with him during the wine tasting event at the Café. He was attracted to Darla but didn’t thing going out with someone that came to the Café was a good idea. The two of them made a great team. They made each other feel good. Parts of the story I liked: Darla being part of the book world. “You really should think before you speak. You never know when someone might hold you to your outbursts.” “She is so into you. Make a move. She will float your boat full of wine.” “Darling of the Baeuclaire Vineyard” Plot-4/5 Characters-5/5 Heat-4/5 Writing Style -5/5 Overall rating-5/5
Vin, the chef for Cafélicious, loves his job. His coworkers are great, and he has creative license to to what he wants with his menu, but he dreams of opening his own place.
Darla is a wine sales representative, and encounters Vin the first time she comes to the cafe to sell her wine. She is a relentless flirt, and Vin wants her but doesn't want to mix business and pleasure. Darla shows up every Saturday night, though, and before he realizes it Darla has become a fixture in his life.
This is the last novella in the Hookup Café series. After reading the stories of all the women of Cafélicious, I'm glad Vin got his story, too. I've read all of the books but you can also read as a stand alone book. I was asked by the author for an honest review. I would give this book 3.5 stars.
So, after the women it’s, finally it’s Vin’s turn. Vin is the chef at Cafelicious and is looking to start his own restaurant when he first meets Darla. She’s a wine rep but not the one they had been expecting. But, the spark is there from the first moment they see each other. It’s takes a while before things heat up, but once the do it’s steamy like a pot of water boiling on the stove. The story was good, and kept my interest. It was nice seeing Vin getting his girl. So, that was the end of the series… well nearly. There is a spin-off coming soon with Vixen’s story.
Vin is the less vocal of the Café group. He gives his opinion when needed while cooking up some delicious food. So when Darla comes in making herself known, Vin takes notice. I couldn’t help but like this spunky little firecracker. Darla has no trouble letting Vin know what she thinks. Since this is the last of the series I will miss this fun little Café with it’s wonderful group of people. I look forward to reading other works by these two authors.
What do all good meals need? A great bottle of wine! Vin works as the chef at Cafelicious, Darla is a wine rep who comes to Hook up Cafe for wine tasting/pairing evenings. Unbeknown to the other both Darla and Vin start having feelings for each other, but neither are willing to make the first move. Eventually Vin talks Darla into giving him a tour of a local Vineyard, they have a wonderful time together and a full bodied relationship starts to blossom. Vin's dream finally comes true when not only does he get the girl of his dreams but also secures a life long dream thanks to Darla's grandfather and his great friends.
This is another great book in the series by Fifi Flowers, and I have enjoyed reading it immensely.
I received and voluntary reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Stacy Aube for Cutting Muse Blog Review.
Such hot, intense, fully romantic books. Each book gave you just enough to have all the feel good emotions. Vin gives new meaning to getting hot in the kitchen.
Light and full of body describes this book to a T. Cafeliclious head chef is Vin. He worked for Pansies from the start of the cafe. He has a hot body and cooks like a dream but he hasn't found his happily ever after yet. Then walks in a hot as hell wine rep Darla. She make Vin lose focus on everything he is trying to cook. There is sparks from the start with these two. She comes every week to do the wine pairings or just sit and watch Vin cook at the stools that overlook the Kitchen. Vin finally gets the nerve up to take Darla up on a invitation to visit wineries with her. The more they learn about each other the less they can keep their hands to themselves. So hot sex scenes between them will have you fanning yourself. I can't wait to read the next installment for cafe hookup.
Another great installment to the Hookup Cafe Series. All these books have been enjoyable short standalones. Saturday is no exception, it is well written, I couldn't put it down.
Keeping to the theme of the staff from Cafelicious finding there significant others, 'Saturday' is Vin's story, he is the cafe's Chef. Saturday night wine pairing evenings have become a highlight for Vin, since the appears of a new wine expert, Darla. Both appear to be instantly attached, with lots of flirting over the kitchen counter.
Reviewed for Amo and Sarah's Book Corner.
I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Firstly I would like to point something out. It is known that food and sex, combined together are an explosive combination. If you add the wine then you absolutely reached its peak. This short story is what I have described before. Vin is the chef of “cafélicious” and during the various culinary events in which he is the main representative, he meets a sexy wine rep that steals his heart. In a few words Darla is his forbidden dream come true. Together are uncontrollable and their sexual charge makes the reader writhe in his seat. This book is full of sensuality and very luscious, I delightfully suggest its reading.
It was so much fun to see Chef Vin get his turn...he falls hard and fast for the new wine rep, Darla, but he tries to deny what he knows is true. He has to figure out how to open his own restaurant, and how to win over the love of his life! Good fast read! Can't wait for the next book, "Martini Sunday."
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Saturday: Light, Full Bodied & Screwed is the sixth book in The Hookup Cafe Series by Fifi Flowers. This one is also co written with Maxwell Anthony. All of this series of six book revolves around Cafelicious and the people there. You can read it as a standalone but it's so much more fun if you read all the others first.
Saturday is Vin's story. He is the chef at cafelicious who has the huge dream of one day opening his own restaurant. Little does he know his world is about to be turned upside down by the new wine rep Darla. Her job is to pair wines with Vin's food one night a week. She's also got it bad for Vin. However Vin is so focused on what he is trying to accomplish he doesn't really have time for a woman in his life. This book was so much fun and the lengths that Darla goes to to get Vin to notice her are nothing short of amazing. I really liked this story and am sad to be finished with all the Cafelicious crew.
This is the final installment of the Cafelicious group... Just like the other five books, Saturday, follows the life of Vin, the chef at the cafe, and Darla, the wine guru who will pair her wine with his signature dishes ( a dream job for many! Lol) Once again this book is just plain fun and entertaining. It's a quick, quirky read that has you swooning after Vin. I have really enjoyed all six of the books but hey.. what happened to Sunday????
