Bad Boy #1

Bad Boy Saint

Rate this book
From USA Today Bestselling Author S. E. LUND comes BAD BOY SAINT, the first part of a new novella series featuring a bad boy to die for and a heroine who can't resist him, no matter what.

Celia

There were whispers about Hunter's family. In the school halls, in the playground. In my own house. "He's Irish," my grandmother said when she saw him the first time. "Stay away from that one. The Saints are trouble, the lot of them. I heard they have pirate blood in them, no doubt about it."

My stepfather said the elder Saint brothers were dirty, corrupt, mixed up with organized crime, and their sons weren't far behind them, destined to be just as criminal as their father.

I didn't care. At nine, I was intrigued by the drama and had no idea what ‘organized crime’ meant. Besides, Hunter was what my nine-year-old self considered a total hunk.

He was everything an adolescent girl could desire: buff from years of training at his father's club, Saint Brothers Gym and Boxing Emporium, with longish dark hair that flopped in his eyes, pale skin, and blue, blue eyes.

I'd been in love with him my entire life. He was my first love and the one I could never forget. Then Fate intervened and we became enemies.

Now, I must go to Hunter on my hands and knees to beg him to save my brother's life.

I'll pay any price to save him. I'll do anything Hunter wants.

Go into this knowing this is "parts"of a book. This being part one. I am not a fan of morally inadequate people who claim to be your best friends but instead are spoiled rich kids who leave you high and dry until they need you. That is the main characters friends in this book. Add a step father who is Verbally and physicaly abuse in this short read. Honestly I have nothing good to say about this "part" of this book. I will not continue on to "part" two! Hard pass!

What a great story!
Hunter Saint is a heartthrob and sweetheart, and Celia's first.
Her stepfather Spencer, is not a nice man, and I think there will be more to his story.
This book ended on a cliffhanger and now I move on to book 2, because I have to find out what happens to this young couple!

I skimmed the majority of this. It’s just absurd. Why I read all four parts, I’ll never understand.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This was a pretty good start to The Bad Boy series. Hunter is a member of an Irish mafia family. His plans to go legit fall apart when a family tragedy forces him back into the mob to take his brother's place of leadership. Cecelia is the woman he loved but she turned her back on him as her evil stepfather, the DA, forced her to stop seeing Hunter because of his mafia ties. Four years after Cecelia spurns Hunter she finds herself begging him for money to help her brother Graham who finds himself swimming with loan sharks when a business deal goes under. Oh boy! This was a real page turner. Although it was a very short read, it held my interest. The characters were well developed and I found myself hoping that in the future books of the series, Hunter will find his way out of his illegal family business with Cecelia at his side. Loved it.

If you like bad boy romance stories with a story-line that is intriguing and keeps interested with a mix of drama, corruption, fate, betrayal, twists and turns, and so much more, then you need to read Bad Boy Saint.

I volunteered to review an advanced readers copy of this book.

I stumbled upon this book and I really don't remember when or how. I just now got to reading it but I am kind of torn between loving it and hating it. The four books have sooooo much potential. The story, the drama, the sexy times, the feels!! But the writing, I sat through it because I saw potential but it doesn't seem that it was edited or even proof-read? And it's a shame because, as I said before... it has potential. Just go into it expecting some words to be repeated, some names inconsistencies and some rambling... Other than that if you like romantic suspense then go ahead and read it.

I don't usually do reviews to say bad things, but when it's constructive I believe I have to write something. I wish I had the time to help out with editing this.

I always love S.E. Lund books. If you have never read her books you should start with this series. This book is free but I would have invested in this book anyways no matter the cost, that is how good she is. She draws you into her stories and you can't wait to read the next book if it is a series or go back out there and find another one of her series of books. I would recommend thew Unrestrained series or the Drake series it is part of the same story line about this couple Dr. Drake Morgan and his chase of Ms. Kate McDermott, don't want to give anything away but I recommend it as a five star read also.

Nicely Spliced!

The front story sets up the present action. The backstory explains where all the animosity came from. Except for a few editing errors that don't detract from the story, this is a great book to read, and I can't wait to read book 2 from my "Next in Series" wishlist collection.

Celia’s brother Graham is in hot water with the mob and he tells her to go to Hunter a man who she had to turn down because her stepfather threatened to ruin Hunter’s life. Graham is going to die in seven days if Hunter doesn’t help but he wants no part of Celia and her family. I gotta go get the next book.

I was given an ARC for an honest review. I very much enjoyed part one in the Bad Boy Saint series. S. E. Lund never disappoints. I look forward to reading part two to find out what happens with Celia and Hunter.

Started good

I loved this book in the beginning. Then it started the flip back to the past, present, past again. Then it ended. I gave it 3 stars because of its shortcomings and because I don’t have the funds to buy the next books to finish the series.

This was a great read and not your typical mafia story. I was gripped and into it the whole time, and I connected to both main characters. The story ends with a cliffhanger, but thank goodness I got this whole collection free on Amazon a while back. I started reading the second one right away because I wanted to see what happened.

I'll hold off on my review until I finish the rest of the series. I did enjoy reading it but I don't know if I can fully explain, everything little thing seemed explained through POV...a little OTT. It doesn't deter me from reading the next book, though. Maybe, it'll be different this time.

It was really good but I feel like it ends too abrupt, there's no reason for it to be split up into four different books, I feel like even two books would be too split up as there aren't different issues in the books. The plot goes on in all four without subplots or anything.

Great book

What a great book to start this series , I love these sort of stories , going onto book 2 right after I've left this review. Can't wait for more action and mayhem and obviously to see what plays out with Celia and Hunter .

Had potential but fell massively short and is a book within a book? The same story line it’s dragged out through all 4 books and I went with it due to the potential but just a waste of time. Needs proof reading, lots of errors and repeats.
