Lily and Vaughn grew up together in the small town of Stillwater, Minnesota. Although they were good friends, Lily's parents never approved of the hell-raising biker. Not only did he and his family hang out with a notorious motorcycle club, the Steel Bandits, Vaughn just wasn't good enough for their daughter, and they refused to let her see him. Young and influenced by her parents, Lily was forced to obey their rules, hurting Vaughn in the process.
-Fast forward six years later-
Lily, who moved away to Chicago after high school, is back in town for a family reunion. She runs into Vaughn and finds that he's sexier than ever, but still holding a grudge. Still, there is no denying the attraction they have for each other and eventually things heat up between the couple. Their relationship comes with a price, however. Vaughn is now a patched member of the Steel Bandits and his world is dangerous, especially for Lily now that his enemies know what she means to him...
Book 1 of 2. Originally published as one book (for the same price, it's been split into two)
This romantic comedy thriller contains crude language, sexual situations, and violence. Is not suitable for readers under the age of 18. Please do not buy if any of this offends you. This is a work of fiction and is not meant to be a true depiction of a motorcycle club. It was written for entertainment only.
This was a short quick read that I liked. Lily left town to get away from her parents and to forget about Vaughn. When he sees her he knows he should give her the cold shoulder but he can't she's the one that got away. I liked both of these characters Vaughn is a hot sexy biker. Something has happened to Lily and she wants to forget about it. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book.
A novel that nearly had it all, it ended on a cliff hanger! damn it. Any way loved the plot so far as well as all the characters mentioned in this novel. Glad to hear the mention of the "Judge" in this novel (in case people do not know who he is, his a hitman that stays of the grid) and who MC`s hire for their dirty work... i like when he appears in these novels. Wished also that the emotions jumped out of the pages at me but they never did. I do not know how any woman can not know that her other half is gay" but i can just imagine how she felt when she found out... but would loved to of felt her grief and anger when she found out.....I bet its going to be hard for her to talk about it to her parents and Phoenix himself.
Vaughn is a man's man, who is part of a brotherhood unlike the rest. He is a man whose feelings were hurt back in high school, and doesn't seem to want to jump into a relationship a time soon. Lily is a woman was scared in high school to speak up for herself about the boy she liked. Instead she stayed away after college and needed up I a relationship with the wrong guy. It's funny how fate tends to bring people back together. Vaughn and Lily are two hot people who I hope can make it last. I came wait to read part 2.
Book 1 of two is all about the build up..... Lily gets a surprise when she goes home unexpectedly. She heads home to Minnesota and runs into a guy she had a crush on in high school. Vaughn belongs to the Steel Bandits motorcycle club and is loving life until he runs into a girl he wanted desperately in high school.
First in the Steel Bandits MC romance series and revolving around Lilly and Vaughn in Stillwater, Minnesota.
My Take It's cute enough, but it has some rough edges. I'm also irked that it's one of those partial books. You know the kind I mean. It tells half the story, and if you want to read the other half, you gotta buy that other half. I hate that.
OMGosh, OMGosh, OMGosh!!!! Each and every page... 😍😍😍
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it in one day; but, I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.
Anyone that shares space with author Cassie Alexandra has my vote because I just love Ms. Alexandra's writing especially when it comes to MC's so I took it on faith that this would be a great book and it was, can't wait to read book 2.
I wish the author had not split this into two books. The writing is good and the plot is interesting. It just leaves the reader wondering. Hence the three stars instead of five. Both books need to be combined into one again.
It ends on a cliffhanger! And not like a normal, some things are resolved time to add drama so you come back for the next one, but middle of all the plot cliffhanger. I guess I need to add the next book to my TBR.
Great story easy to follow you can get into the character’s and feel like you know them can relate to some of the issues nicely written so you can follow on with the next book and not lose the plot
I never realised that I had already read this book when it was under the other title. I was half way through it and thought I've already read this and reviewed it.
It started out slow & then it seemed really rushed the last couple of chapters. Then they turn around & leave a cliff hanger, so you have to buy a 2nd book.
I really enjoyed reading this story. The characters were very good. The plot has a lot of twists in it. Some of it I even laughed at. Read it for yourself.
Great read just purchased the entire book. The free version downloaded is a true tease to wanting more of the roller coaster ride that will leave you craving and wanting more of Lily and Vaughn.
The faith of their love is worth the $2.99 for B&N Nook readers who enjoy true mystery/romance
I really enjoyed this book. Although it left you hanging it was not a man I can't believe it kind of cliffhanger. I will definitely be getting the next book. I like that the characters have dept and a fun personality.
I have to start off by saying I know that some authors just stop their stories and continue the story in another book, I am not a fan of this. I know to each their own. There was little to no grammar mistakes. I love the characters. Lily is a little blind to her ex though and a little stand offish with Vaughn in the beginning. Vaughn is macho but in a good way and somewhat of a tail chaser, but that is to be expected in a MC romance. If you like MC romance this is a good read as long as you don't mind having to buy the second book to see what happens with the rest of Vaughn and lily's story.
