What do you do when the hottest, most annoying billionaire on the planet wants a fake marriage... with you?
I’m a twenty-eight-year-old gal, saving myself for the one.
The perfect one. So definitely not for him.
He’s one of the world’s most famous playboys and not interested in relationships.
Did I mention he’s my boss? He is.
But he’s in trouble.
His old man has given him an ultimatum: he has to settle down in three months or he won’t be president of the family’s multi-billion company.
One mistake, one night with too much liquor, and I wake up married to the guy in Vegas the next day.
So we just get an annulment, right?
Right. Until he makes me an offer I can’t refuse.
He’ll give me the thing I want most if I continue with our legal but unconsummated marriage.
What’s a girl to do?
This is a 58-page taboo romance with bad boy, billionaire and virgin elements. It is a stand-alone story with an HEA, so no cliff-hangers! It includes lots of steam and mature language. Definitely for 18+ readers.
3.5 a Short story. This story was pretty good. Sex was balanced (not main part of the story) with feelings, emotions and relationship was part of the story too. Liked both the heroine and hero.
Several stories/books in this purchase but only read this one. Others were not my cup of tea.
HUNGRY BOSS was a wonderful surprise. I took a chance on a new-to-me author and I'm so glad I did. Charlize Starr does a fantastic job of focusing on all the positive dynamics between Matt and Brooke rather than veering off into his playboy ways too much. She keeps the storyline in the present for the most part and keeps the love story engaging and romantic. She makes it impossible not to fall for and thus root for this couple, and not just because Matt is so swoon-worthy, although he definitely is. Great dialogue keeps the pace steady... Great writing all-around. It's short and sweet with just enough steam. The perfect romance fix before bedtime. Loved it! 4.5 stars
Hungry Boss was a sweet, sexy romance. Well written and just enough depth to engage you into the story. I do think an epilogue would make a great edition to this story though.
All in all a sweet light read. Would read from this author again.
Matt's family owns a chain of fancy hotels and resorts. His father is the CEO but is getting older. Matt has always assumed that he would step up when his dad retired but then his dad gave him an ultimatum. He thinks Matt is both a workaholic and a playboy. He wants to see his son settle down and start a family otherwise there will be an interum CEO appointed. Matt is horrified. After his disasterious marriage to his high school sweetheart, he is determined to avoid all relationships with women. Then he goes on a business trip with his personal assistant. Brooke is his PA and a 28 year old virgin. She is too busy for a man in her life between her job and taking care of her father. Her father has Parkinson disease and is getting progressively worse. He need to have a home health aide or move into assisted living but there is no money for either. On the business trip to Vegas, Matt and Brooke talk about their problems with their fathers, and they end up kissing to chase away too persistant admirers. After a lot of drinks, Matt is ready to have sex with Brooke but she turns him down. She is waiting for marriage. The next day, they both wake up with a hangover. Brooke is wearing a wedding ring and they find a marriage certificate in their hotel room. Brooke is horrified but Matt wants to take advantage of the situation. This wedding is his ticket for the CEO position. He just has to convince Brooke to go along with him. This is a great story about a secretary who falls in love with her boss who doesn't believe in love. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
I was given a gifted copy by Heartbeat Reads. Matt is about to get the CEO and president position in her father’s business after his father’s retirement in three months. However, his father gives him an ultimatum: get married and form a family or forget about that position. Brooke is Matt’s assistant, the person he relies on for everything in the office, she even travels with him whenever it is necessary. This is the first book I read by this author and I enjoyed it a lot. It is a sweet short story. It is well-written and developed enough for a short one. I liked the friendship between Matt and Brooke. However, once you have a bad experience is difficult to forget it and think that not all the people are the same. That happens to Matt: he trusts her in the office but not in their personal life.
Great book Read in 1 day. Brooke and Matt finding true love after Matt's heartbreak and Brooke wanting to save herself for after she was married. The plane ride that started everything. Matt's dad standing by him after he finds out the truth. I received a arc copy for my honest review
I was flicking through the kindle bestsellers when I noticed this, over 2500 pages and all excellent reviews. How could I say no? Turns out it ends at 4% yes that's right 4%. To be fair it does say at the bottom of the blurb.
NOTE: This book includes bonus stories!
This is a 58-page taboo romance with bad boy, billionaire and virgin elements. It is a stand-alone story with an HEA, so no cliff-hangers! It includes lots of steam and mature language. Definitely for 18+ readers.
So it's my fault for not touching the 'read more'
The book itself: It's a familiar story, billionaire playboy who's previously had his heartbroken and has sworn to never risk his heart again. Drunken Vegas wedding which benefits both parties. Matt proves to his father he's responsible and lets his father assume the marriage is real and grandchildren will follow. Brooke gets her father's assisted living paid even after the marriage has been annulled. You know how it goes. I have to be honest and admit I'd never have read this if I'd seen how short it was but it's a nice little harmless romance. There's no surprises or drama but it makes a pleasant short read.
I got this for an honest review and I was not disappointed. I mean it was a quick read. For me a little to quick. I wanted it to last a little longer. There was enough drama, but maybe a little more about the wedding. Matt wants to be the CEO of his father's hotel business, but his father does not think that he is all that responsible. That he needs to get his life together. IF he does not do this by the time his father is going to retire in 3 weeks them Gary will become the acting CEO. Brooke is Matt's assistant and they travel a lot for work. She is doing her best to make the money that she needs to take care of her sick father. Then something happens while they are a business trip. It all started with a kiss and kind of stumbles into something more. Will Brooke and Matt be able to over come the odds or will Matt's past rip them apart?
Matt has 3 months to prove to his father he can take over the business once he retires. He has to get married which is bad he is not interested in settling down again. His Assistant Brooke is late due to family issues the relationship between the two is interesting there isn't flirting just normal friendship between boss and employee.. (which is okayish) He has a reaction to her once he kisses her.. There business trip to Vegas has some twist ending them being Married!!
Making a deal between them being married for 3 months so Matt could take over and she can have better care for her father. so much tension and drama in thos 3 months..
Playboy tough rough alpha male Hardworking Stubborn Sassy Virgin gal Coworkers Drama No cheating sexx tons of sex HEA
Hungry Boss by Charlize Starr is an entertaining read. This is a very quick read, a good choice for those with limited time for reading. Ms. Starr has delivered a fun read. Brooke has had a crush on her boss, Matt, for quite a while. On a business trip to Vegas they end up drunk and married. Brooke and Matt's story is filled with drama, humor and sizzle. I enjoyed this story, even if the end was a little far fetched. I did expect a longer read but instead found about 10 other books included with this book instead. I didn't read them, so I can't give a review of the extra books. The first book started with first-person format and that was enough for me to lose interest. Hungry Boss is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
A sweet romance with charming characters that were thoughtful and realistic, the story was relatively short but well written and held a steady pace. I enjoyed the story it was sweet and lighthearted, there was not a great deal of character background but it was not really required for the story to work. Once I started reading I could not put it down, and had it finished in a few hours.
If you enjoy alpha business men and intelligent and endearing female leads, then I believe you will enjoy reading this book.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review.
I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
Once I started, I couldn't put it down. Brooke's and Matt's story was a cute, fun read. This is my second book that I have read from Ms. Starr. She has a delightful way in writing her stories. I highLy recommend this book to anyone.
I love this book, Brooke and Matt’s love reminds me of a modern day fairytale. To think of all the time they’ve been working and traveling nothing came just a deep friendship. All it took was one moment in time to open the gates on passion. What’s their not to like it’s short, sweet and romantic.
OMG! This was the cutest ever! I love how they came together. Matt and Brooke know each other from work, and have worked together for years now. She's been secretly in love with him. Things happen, I won't ruin it for those that haven't read it, and WOW!!! At first I thought Matt was an asshole, but he came around in the end. The sexy scenes were hot hot hot!
This was a short but enjoyable read. The female lead was great, the male was pretty good, and the chemistry between them was believable. The drama wasn't over top and was quickly (maybe to quickly) resolved. Definitely an hour we'll spent. *** I decided to review an ARC of this book ***
This was a sweet novella about finding love for the first and second times and opening your heart to the possibility that it can be forever. Enjoyed the story a lot. And the bonus stories were pretty darn good too!
Overall, an okay story. I expected it to be short, but I missed the part of the blurb where it said it was only 58 of 2500+ pages. Most of the other short stories are okay too. They could be really good, if not so rushed.
What a hot story. A hunk like Oscar falls for the poor PA Kayla. Starting out as a cool contract combusts it’s way to true affection on his part and deeper feelings for each other. This was hot hot hot.
I have this a 5 because even though this was a couple of stories almost the same, the majority of them were good, well written with a lot of emotions. I was surprised with so many stories ,they could be so g ood.
Do you like billionaire playboys who take advantage of difficult life situation of a woman that they want, manipulate her into doing what benefits him in exchange for financial help despite her protests? If yes, you will like. I do not, hence the low score.
The old story, hot boss and his stunning assistant go on business trip and wind up drunk and married, but not consummated. After half an hour of 3% and 4 % book ended. Felt like false advertising.
This was a great fast-paced novella. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Matt and Brooke. This would have made a great full length novel and would love to see more of them.
