Short but encouraging

It was a timely read and quickly made me feel that my sorrows for my pet were "a myth to debunk" I'll try the tips and exercises.

It is really hard getting past grief. Especially when it comes to pet. This book was really helpful and allowed me to get some closure.

This author is the queen of how to cope with that tragic time: the death or terminal illness of a beloved pet. I found the book compassionate as well as very practical. Those terrible statements, “But it’s just a pet,” and, “Get another one,” don’t exist in these pages. In fact, this is a book that will also help heal the hurt and confusion caused by well-meaning people, because it will validate every aspect of your grief. It’s like having a dear friend who gets it. Properly. At Last.

I read this book during a particularly difficult afternoon. One of the suggestions in the book was to write your pet a love letter. I am now doing that.....it will take a long time, but I can already tell doing this is a step towards healing. Mainly by getting memories down on paper. Many thanks to the author.

A helpful guide to understand Pet loss grief

I felt empathy and understanding when I read the book. The passing of a beloved pet companion is a unique and personal loss. This book shows you that it's ok to feel, cry, laugh, and love.

Hope

I'm still in the steps, but I have hope this will help me. I've lost my pseudo child, my love, and constant companion so unexpectedly and will miss him every day.
