Jack: Part Two

Rate this book
Sinfully Sexy. Dirty. Yummy. Jack 'BOOMER' McGuire is Back!
Jack
I’m the most notorious fighter pilot in the US Navy, so why am I spending my time flying filthy rich tourists up and down the coast and looking at bridal magazines?
Because Holly is the hottest woman to ever walk the face of the earth. But I’m so screwed up, I can’t see that. I know leaving the military is the right thing to do, but I’m f**king lost. The Navy is my whole life and to go from active duty to a weekend warrior every other month in the reserves is killing me.
And I’m losing her as well.
I know Holly still wants me and I can't get enough of her. Hell, sometimes the only time any of it makes sense is when I'm inside of her.
Holly
My hot AF fighter pilot is finally home. But, he's slipping away. He doesn’t think I notice, but I do—the blank stare in his eyes—he isn’t seeing me—he’s in some far-off place full of adventure and mystery. I need to get him back on track and settle back into a normal life.
I think this is what he wants—but the look in his eyes tells me differently.
I don't want to lose him. Did the war change him—or is it me?

Jack - The Elite - Part Two is the final part of a two part contemporary romance. It takes place two years after BOOMER - The Elite with no more cliffhangers and no cheating. If you haven't read BOOMER, no worries, you can grab it cheap on Amazon! Intended for readers 18+ due to Kindle-melting scenes and other mature content.
Enjoy!

After running to the East Coast to escape his breakup, Jack realizes he made a mistake, but is unsure how to go back to what was. Determined to move on and keep her secret, Holly puts one foot in front of the other. When the secret Holly is keeping comes out, will they be able to repair the damage they did to their relationship? Will Holly and Jack be able to find their happy ever after?

Was sooooo excited to see this book come out after the cliffhanger with Jack Part 1. Loved how once Jack became determined, he didn't turn back. I didn't blame Holly for being iffy when it came to him staying because unless he proved it she would have questioned it! Was sooo happy to see them come out the other side of the bump and was happy with the ending! Definitely recommend reading both books!

Jack Part 2 was a wonderful read by KB Winters. I have loved every book she has written and this one just proves that she is a very good author. Poor Jack and Holly are both miserable, being separated from each other, but Jack doesn't know what he wants and is having a problem deciding what he should do. Holly finds out she is pregnant but hasn't told Jack yet and she doesn't know what to do or if and when she will tell Jack. They are both hurting and missing one another and they need to get things straightened out. Holly ends up telling him about the baby and then things fall back into place. This is a love story, and I totally loved it. I hope to read more about the cove because it seems like a nice place to be. I volunteered to read this book and this is my honest review

Heartbreaking followed by a HEA

This second book for Jack (Elite #11) was just as heartbreaking as #10. I knew there would be a HEA, but DAMN getting there was making me cry, got angry, etc...all the feels. There is make up sex scenes that'll leave you wanting a cold shower 😉! KB writes damn good stories. Yes there can be a few editing errors, thankfully it doesn't pull me out of the story enough to ruin my enjoyment of said story. These books aren't standalone so you'll want to go back to the beginning starting with Elite 1. Thankfully KB has the Elite series in broken up box sets and I think she may even had 1 box set that has ALL the books (well novellas as the books end in cliffhangers). I recommend reading this series!

I must say I soared right into this one so I would not be hanging anymore. This is still centered around jack and Holly with it now getting down to the nitty gritty. Lots of pondering is in store with us readers along for what is in store here. When reading you just want to wrap Jack up yourself but alas he is Holly's. High levels of drama are in this one so the author will pull out all the stops on pinching our emotions. Oh makes for such excellent reading too. At times you will find yourself inching to the edge wondering will they get it or keep drifting. This will also do a good job at filling you up bit by bit with warmth of all kinds as you read seeing how they will end up.

WOW...this second part to Jack and Holly's story really played at my emotions and had me in tears more than once as they both struggle with their break up and then Jack coming back and eventually seeing Holly. She finally tells him her secret but after a scary incident he finally gets his head in the game and mans up. I loved how strong Holly was and the fact that everything they have been through....love and forgiveness won. Even though I was curious as to what happened to Kourtney I could not give it less than 5 stars.

Jack's New Beginning

Jack and Holly couldn't have had a better ending in this book than what KB Winters has written. They had such a beautiful beginning and then Jack got scared and took off. We were all heartbroken then but their story here has more than made up for it. KB Winters loves bringing out her sexy men in her stories and showing them how food it can be with the right woman by their side. Can't wait to read another great book by her.

Wonderful

I waited for a few months. In between the first part of Jack and now. This story is truly a good romance. If you read the series in order all the characters make sense. Here's to hoping for more.

Loved this book!!
Jack and Holly can't seem to get it right. After a life changing moment, Holly and Jack finally have the "talk" that they so desperately needed. Can Jack finally find his place in the world after leaving the Navy? And will Holly be able to put her ghosts to rest once and for all?? This book will bring the closure we so desperately needed after book 1.

Great Read

This was a great humanitarian love story & I loved it. However, even though the plot & characters were great the language was a little to racy.

I definitely enjoyed part 2 better than part one but I think the box set is the way to go. At the end of part one Jack and Holly are separated. Jack has moved to the East Coast to fly charters to Europe. Abby is working for a rich business man and just discovered she is pregnant. Part two picks up some weeks later. Jack is unhappy in NYC and is still hung up on Holly. He knows he made a horrible mistake but feels it is too late. He has women making passes but he can only think of Holly, Jack decides to go back home tp try to find another solution.
Holly is really struggling with Jack's departure and the pregnancy. She knows she should tell Jack but she doesn't want him to come back for the baby. Then Jack is back in town and they meet. She is very saddened about how everything has changed and she gives up on them being together. Then she hears he has been seen drinking in the local bar with a young woman. She confronts them and they have a vicious arguement. She throws out the news of her pregnancy and storms away. She is so upset she gets in a car accident. Jack is afraid he will lose Holly and the baby.
This is a good story about people who love each other but have a hard time making the relationship work. I always love books with a HEA. I vlountarily received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I love this series. I hated the cliff hanger form the first book with Holly walking out and leaving her ring and Jack moving to the east coast to fly charters and "find himself".
This takes place a few weeks later. Holly is working for Noah and has found out she is pregnant. (that was discovered at tend of first book).
Jack is flying charters and paired with Peyton as his co-pilot.
Both jack and Holly have people in their lives who want to be more than friends but as both consider the possibility they realize their heart still belongs to each other.
This story shows how sometimes we are our own worst enemy. We don't want to get hurt so we do stupid things to protect ourselves while possibly pushing away the one thing that will make us truly happy. And sometimes it takes our BBF to give us a good kick in the a** to realize we are being stubborn.
Holly and Jack's story is a soulmate storyline and one I truly enjoyed.
KB Winters keeps the reader engaged with he storyline and you will find yourself yelling at the characters every now and then.

A bout of Wanderlust following a stint of military service last left Jack heartbroken and lost and Holly alone and facing the uncertainty of being single!

Tragedy brings them together, but can they overcome the walls between them to get to what they want? I feel for Jack, Holly, and the rest of the Holiday Cove residents clear back in Jack's Boomer days. KB Winters has woven a community that you can fall in love with!

Loving a military man/woman takes a special person; loving a military pilot is a whole different category. These guys live to fly--and fly to live. Adrenaline junkies extraordinaire. So it's no surprise that Jack leaves Holly in Part 1 to go find his happiness elsewhere...

I hated that cliffhanger...cried, cursed, and cried again. So I was more than ready for Part 2 to arrive! I just didn't expect to cry, curse, and cry some more with this one.

A word to the wise: Bring LOTS of tissues with you before you start Part 2. From the very first page, I cried the whole way. The story is so poignantly told; the pain and hurt so real it steals your heart away. I refuse to spoil the read by giving out too much info--just remember this is Jack and Holly's journey tia HEA. Believe me...it was well worth the wait!

Jack and Holly have lots of work to do in part 2. Jack has taken himself off to New York and Holly is trying to move on, while keeping her secret a secret. She knows that she has to tell Jack, but it's hard when he is on the other side of the country living it up and trying to move on. At times I wanted to smack both of them, they were both being stubborn and refusing to get past the pain they had inflicted on each other.

I think what I love most about Jack and Holly is how realistic KB wrote them. They react and act like normal people in a relationship, and post relationship. Part 2 is just as emotional as Part 1, if not more so. Seeing them work through all the pain and past hurts they inflicted upon each other is a good reminder to all us married people that marriage takes work, you can't just coast through it and not work for the one you love.

Thank you, KB, for giving our favorite couple such a great conclusion!

Jack Part 2 picks up where Part 1 ends and totally completes and compliments the first boom. Jack " Boomer" and Holly have always been two of my favorite characters and this book really does them justice. You really understand how hard these two are trying to bring their relationship back on track and all the reasons they haven't been able to do it yet. Jack goes from the responsible most decorated airman in history too an irresponsible man going thru a mid life crisis knowing he loves Holly but not sure he wants the commitment. Holly only wants the Jack she fell in love with the man who loved her above all else but isn't willing to put up with the boy. Both of them are responsible for the break up but don't really want to admit it. Watching these two work through their issues reminds us all that relationships take work and do not survive in a vacuum. I loved how this book turned out. K.B. Winters delivers a story that will keep you on edge while you wait for the HEA ending that you know will be there. Her secondary characters are great in this book as they support and help their friends find their true love.

KB Winters takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions in the final installation of Jack and Holly's story. Jack is off living his life, doing what he said he wanted to do without anything holding him back. No more emotional upheaval and stress and the responsibility for Holly's happiness. Or is he? Holly is still living in their old home, trying to erase all the memories of Jack which turns out to be difficult because she is now expecting Jack's child. Noah shows some interest but is Holly ready to move on and forward with a life without Jack. She needs to let Jack know she is pregnant but since he never wanted the responsibility before, she is torn. Will these two finally see that they both really want the same things? Will Jack finally realize that he can be who he wants to be without the Navy?

I can sleep easy now after reading Jack Part 2. This was a wonderful ending to Jack and Holly's story.

I received an advance reader copy of this story and am voluntarily leaving a review. You need to read Jack Part 1 but I actually started back with the Boomer books which is the beginning of it all for them. You won't be disappointed but you will shed many tears of sadness and happiness.

KB Winters has done an outstanding job with this series. I thought I had loved the other books, but I honestly believe this may be my favorite. As if I hadn't cried enough when Jack and Holly split, this book made me break down a few times as well. So...beware of tearjerker events and times where you want to hang one of our favorite pilots. I could truly feel the pain they were both in and just wanted to wrap them both up in a tight hug. Thank you for sharing this part of Boomers story. I'm so happy to see how things are going with the crew. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC and I'm so very thankful I did!

Finding his way after leaving the Service has hit him hard on all fronts yet coming to terms with the fact that he may have made a mistake but to proud to admit it has left him wanting int he wake he's left behind. His visit home will help him decide what to do next, he hopes. It just might be too late to make things right but hell do his best. It doesn't happen as easily as he hopes... with his nack for screwing it up again.
Moving on has been hard but not impossible. Her hearts longing for an unattainable man has moved her to make the changes needed. Then he shows up and tells her how happy he is...she can take it no more.
A highly intense situation of loss, gain and finding your way through the mud called Life. I received a complimentary copy for an honest review. A must read part of the Elite series.

I totally loved this book, it was so hard waiting for it to come out.
Jack is so in love with Holly but he just can't get it together enough to get her back.

Holly is pregnant and waiting for the right time to tell Jack about it.

They get into a big argument, and Jack tells Holly he is happy with the way his life is now and wouldn't change a thing. So Holly tells him she is pregnant and then takes off and crashes.

But in the end they get their act together and get married, then along comes the baby. Happy ending guaranteed.

I have been waiting on pins and needles for this book, with the way the previous one left me. It's part two so really if you haven't you need to go read part one.
It starts off obviously with them both miserable. And takes you right back to the feelings you had at the end of the last one. I mean I'm right there with them, in tears and turmoil.

Just push through though, it will be ok. Jack and Holly have a big love and just have to get past misunderstandings and past hurts. If you're like me, you will be rooting for them throughout the whole story. I received an arc of this, btw.

This is a great read in some parts of this
book you wish you could grab Holly and
Shake some since into her and wake her up
that it takes two for a relationship to work and
she can't have it all her own way.
Will Jack and Holly be able to get turn things around
so they both get what they want.
