Does exactly what it says on the tin. A bit outdated in some aspects (the edition I read came out in 2012, and the original release was in 2000), but it's a pretty good start to learning more about the Pekingese. I really, really admired the frequent warnings that popped up every once in a while. I think it's a good way to be sure that the readers understand the magnitude of the responsibility they're undertaking, especially useful for first-timers. All in all, this is a pretty solid introduction. Not enough on its own, but it comes close.
Obviously a very bittersweet read for me, but the least I can do is offer a review after caring for the most beautiful thing on the planet for 17 years (it was never going to be long enough).
