Seventeen-year-old Katerina Vega's job was simple: Get on the stage and dance for the men that threw money at her feet. She wasn't proud of stripping at Déjà Vu but it gave her the money she needed to survive. Soon she and her twin sister, Kathelene, would be eighteen and have enough money to leave their abusive home and move wherever it was Kathelene wanted. And If that meant giving out extras to customers that were willing to pay Katerina more, then so be it.
But she never expected one of her clients to be her history teacher.
There was a reason she worked four cities over and it wasn't because the drive gave her time to think. When summer ends and school begins, so do the lies and drama. When Mr. Collins doesn't recognize her she tries to stay under the radar but once he finds out she was the woman in the rainbow corset that pleasured him, he threatens to call attention on her whole operation. But he can’t turn her in without causing problems for himself, they both realize this and Kat uses it against him. Mr. Collins tries his best to stay away from Ms. Vega but feels inclined to help her change her life around before she ends up regretting it. And try as she might to keep her distance from the one man that was gentle with her, she can't seem to get him to leave her alone. One paid night during the summer ends up being a lesson in lies, small favors and forbidden temptation

This book made me really hate some of the characters and the relationships in it. I'm so happy it ended the way it did. Some stories do have happy endings.

“Benjamin Collins” a guy who has BA in child education but actually a kind of a person who makes a wrong choice with some children. During his history class in his new high school he meets couple of students who really have some behavior and attitude issues – tell me about it – and tries his best to help them but then the story goes in a different direction. One of the students that gets his attention is Katerina. She has a twin sister by the name of Kathelene, although they are twins but their personalities, attitude and behavior differs. Kathelene has a childish, weak or let’s say a follower character and opposite of her Katerina is strong, matured and antagonist. Since the mother is a drug addict she is her sister’s keeper, she is the one managing their life. One night Ron decides to surprise his friend; Collins and cheer him up so he forgets his miserable marriage life. He meets Kimberly who is a look alike of Katerina, he thinks! Is that a coincidence? Is she a copy of her or she is …
This is my second read of Nina Kari.
Her writing style is very simple.
Subjects that she chooses for her storytelling are good but if she will be more realistic and goes deeper, I guess the book will be much better.
Trust, harassment, parental right and responsibilities, teenage behavior, drugs and addiction are very deep themes which needs to be addressed in our current life but when we choose such subject we need to deal with them in a clear realistic method so the readers or audience will understand the importance of above mentioned issues and handle them more seriously.
