A book I read with my daughter. She chose it and at only around 100 pages we read it in a few nights. I didn't realise it was book 3 in the series and I feel so dirty now. I clearly have NOT passed my OCD tendencies on to my daughter.
On the surface this sounds cool: A young girl and her Nanna who can shape shift into cats and solve cutting edge cat mysteries such as "where the hell is Ruby the Kitten?". Spoiler coming................SHE IS IN THE BLOODY BABIES ROOM! Sigh!
This may have been entertaining for an 8 year old, but just so didn't work for poor old Mum. Time to research some children's books that work on multiple age group levels. Is 8 too young for Harry Potter???? :-)
Kitty, a young human girl who can change into a cat, needs to find a solution as the guardian of the Cat Council to Coco's problem of having a new kitten in her home who takes all her owner's affection. This 97 page book has large print and black and white drawings with two pages of "Meet the Cats" and 2 pages of feline facts. This is a good transitional book with a simple plot that is easy to follow. Recommended for K-2nd grade or for reluctant readers in 3rd grade.
