I'm trying to grasp Lean for knowledge work, and the Reduce Waste chapters (7-14) were really helpful. The Workflow chapters (15-24) seemed pretty specific and prescriptive. That makes them good examples, but I wonder how generally applicable they would be, and would people latch onto them and refuse to change them, "because the book says."
