Aftermath
In America, it's all about coming back from the grave. We relish the stories like Rocky or Roy Hobbs and sense this constant attachment to those that come back from some crazy adversity. Not everyone gets a second chance, and not everyone wants an encore performance, yet we seize the silver lining from that dark cloud here in Aftermath.
So what is our response to adverse situations?
If the Christian life is all about becoming like Christ, then life is all about developing our character.
Aftermath looks at how choices can either make or break ya.
Since we're all just a one-time flash in the pan. Here today gone tomorrow.
Then we better take stock in how we approach decisions.
The author gives us a first-hand account of how things in life don’t go as planned, in that, there are random events the can shake at our core. When you lose a son, experience a divorce and know your friends are running to the hills, that’s when you feel the tremors and Aftermath deals with how God allows circumstances to build mighty character for our future.
What is it about a loving God that allows the mortal flesh to be sliced and diced, to become like Christ?
Oh, we know it was only 30+ years for the Savior, and Joshua, the author's son was only here 19. So how does that work out for us ordinary types?
Yes, you may feel the aftereffects.
Yes, you may have the scars to prove it.
