Decent Exposure

Rate this book
Sexy, cute, classic, frumpy…it’s not easy to dress decently in today’s indecent world. Actress and Designer Jessica Rey and former America’s Next Top Model contestant, Leah Darrow don’t hold back in this book of personal stories and practical advice. Decent Exposure is more than a book. It is the advice of a good friend and a stylist in written form. This book is the result of years of discussion, personal experience, and study. Both timely and relevant this book is the response to thousands of emails that asked the authors “how”. The book gives practical advice on how to stylishly dress with integrity, self-esteem and relationships. This beautifully illustrated, coffee table style, book is an excellent gift for any young woman in your life.

"Decent Exposure" by former model Leah Darrow and designer/actor Jessica Rey, is a well-designed large volume, with engaging graphic design and appealing photos. This book is a great conversation starter for pre-teen, teen, and older girls on up about body image, beauty, relationships, and mostly, living in our culture without being overwhelmed by it.

I bought this book to help me guide my daughters through the turbulent high school years. I wish I had a book like this when I was a teen. The layout is eye catching and the information is given in pieces that are easily understood. it is a very positive response to today's social "norms". I wish I could buy a copy for all of my friends who have daughters.

This book needs more EXPOSURE! Timeless, classy, full of wit, encouragement, and never sappy! Highly recommended for young girls, as it has much advice on dress, style, dating, body type, being a lady and gentleman and most of all living with a giving and grateful heart. Think Audrey Hepburn.

This book is definitely catered towards a younger audience. It's a very easy, enjoyable read. I appreciate the research the authors did. However, I wish it was more in depth.

This book was good, but not great. I enjoyed it and found it helpful; there's some great tips in there! However, I was rather disappointed that there were no Biblical references. It was good but it could've been so much better. :)

In their first book, Decent Exposure, Jessica Rey and Leah Darrow walk you through what it means to be decently exposed in a culture where standards on decency are out the door. These ladies walk you through the lies of our culture, including how they want you to be dissatisfied with your appearance and how we aren’t truly equal to men in everything except our value. They discuss the consequences of following the world’s standards of decency, including its impact on the guys around you and your romantic life. And finally, they give you practical standards on how to determine the decency of the clothes you wear, as well as practical tips for fixing issues if your clothing doesn’t measure up. The make sure that you understand that you can dress modestly and fashionably at the same time, even if the world tries to tell you otherwise. This is all done in the content of a book with beautiful and colorful pages that will engage and challenge every women that takes this message to heart. This book speaks to the heart of what young women of this generation need to hear about modesty, but does it in a way that is inviting and appealing.
I would highly recommend this book to any young women 15 or older, and well as any older women that want to find ways to communicate the truth about modesty to the younger generation. Get your copy today!
