Destiny is not matter of chance, it is a matter of choice.
Fated to be a Priestess of Saegard, Meredith dreams of leading a normal life with a family and a home of her own, something she’ll never have if she swears her life to the Order. A chance encounter with a stranger in the sacred Celestial Chamber sends her previously well-ordered life into a tailspin of adventure and mayhem as she is blamed for the theft of a legendary artifact. Now a fugitive, Meredith must join forces with Captain Reginald Lawrence, the son of the man who initially brought her to the Temple, and his enigmatic business partner, the charming yet at times infuriating, Grey Rhodes, to find the Celestial Bowl and clear her name. From the cosmopolitan capital of Saegard to the coast of Ismera and back again, Meredith’s journey will reveal the true nature of her past, present, and ultimately, her future.

I received this book free in exchange for my honest opinion. I loved this book so much. It was the perfect Blend of Adventure and imagery to capture the attention of the reader and engage them in a way that is almost surreal. I loved the connection between the main characters and of course the writing was impeccable. Who doesn't love a good spin on an Indiana Jones. I know I love reading about "Historical artifacts" and adding a good story in there is a great way to tell about it. I think Any adult would enjoy it.
The polyamory was good. The romance was interesting. So why only two stars? The writing wasn't easy to get through. Too much of telling, almost none of showing. In character's thoughts you could get whole history and their emotions or someone else's emotions described in strange detail. I didn't enjoy that, at all. The other thing was that while characters were unusual in many departments, main trio was absolutely annoying. Heroine was as dumb as they get, all over the place, everyone of course had to ogle her. The guys were "the annoying" and "the airhead" and I often mistook one from the other, they were written the same way. I don't remember ANYTHING about the world itself. I tried to like this, but it's only "eh, wasn't too bad" reaction.
Dowsett and Damodred have done it again! Expect the unexpected from the get-go. Fast paced, action-packed, and at times shockingly modern in the way relationships are perceived and accepted in the French-based country of Saegard. I really enjoyed the web of words these pair of imaginative authors created in Uncharted by using the flavor of Old World France and Britain, and how the use of modern day language bridges the gap from the past and present.
The twists and turns in this romantic high seas adventure ends with a few surprises, and leaves the reader feeling satisfied and ready for the next romp in the Ismeran world! Bravo, ladies!
Welcome to a very Uncharted journey, where you literally don’t know what you will find on the next page.
