Miracle Austin’s book Boundless is filled with short stories, thought-provoking sayings, and yes, even recipes for life. It is a journey of many things wrapped within one packaged cover. In particular, the short stories of Slippers, Meat-Lover’s Special, Unleashed, Almost Extinct, and App were some of those I liked the most. The section at the end called Love Tales was an interesting blend of expressionistic ideology. It presented emotions that centered on the strong feelings of the heart.

Regardless of whether it was a story or thoughts, each was designed to elicit a meaning beyond the words written, dealing with sentiments, reactions, and human nature. It is a broad read on many topics and a great way to discover those things you like. In it, there is something for everyone.

If you enjoy quick reads without getting caught up in a major storyline, I would suggest you pick up Boundless. Please write a review if you do.

This is a collection I've been waiting to read since the day it was announced.

Having read several of Ms. Austin's works before (many short stories in a variety of anthologies and, of course, her debut novel DOLL), I was already well aware of what a fantastic writer and story-teller she is. She is almost unapologetic in the way she pulls you into her world, her words, her characters, her tales, and leaves you breathless, heartbroken, stunned, terrified, and always wanting more.

Boundless is a collection of short stories, and poetry, the darker of these remind me of stories or snippets you may find in Alvin Schwartz' Scary Stories collections. Masterfully crafted with just the right amount of suspense, fear, and ick, these are stories that you'll want to read aloud around the campfire or maybe even in a blanket fort late at night.

Then there are the poems that compel you to think, to feel, to love, to wonder. Ms. Austin permits you a glimpse into her beautiful spirit and curious mind with poems like Eye, Wishes, Unfallen, Chances... I'd actually love to hear some of these poems put to music.

If you are seeking a diverse, heartfelt, inspiring, whimsical read, Boundless is the book for you. It is a collection of one author's greatest works and worth every turn of every page.

I barely got this book and I burned through it, because I absolutely loved it. Whenever I read an anthology, it's always risky, because there's bound to be a story or two that either sucks beyond belief, or is just absolutely nasty, or even disgusting. Boundless didn't have any of that. I saw like one cuss word in the whole thing. I like to read uninhibited by offensive words, so this was very comfortable to read. The stories were fantastic, no matter what genre they were. The poems were beautiful. I really loved the names that the characters had, like Koko, Harper, Far, Journey, True, and Copper.

Boundless ~ Miracle Austin
The Boundless cover alone speaks volumes to me. I can either tread heavily in my mortality or take flight in endless possibilities. Miracle Austin’s book is a collection of short stories and poetry. The fantasy in her writing appeals to the dark, gothic part of me. With its tidbits of horror it reaches the young me where too often I was besieged with claw marks and fangs trying to maneuver through peers who saw odd as a flaw and not the expression of original. Boundless was a place where I could embrace my dark side and relish the truth I didn’t feel bad about it. I love this book! Great read!
