FREE 10/20-24 ONLY!!! OMGOODNESS!!!! Every single page from the front cover to the back cover of The Prince's Game is awesome! It is packed full of fun, entertainment, friends and family! I absolutely love Evan and Sarah's story, and can't wait to read more from Lexi C. Foss!
I love contemporary romances. it's my favourite genre with the exception of PNR and I love it when I find new authors who write both these genres too. You know that if you enjoy one genre written by the author, you're 80% sure you're going to enjoy the other. To give an example, I've read the PNR novel by this same author and loved it so I knew I wanted to read The Princes Game, also by this author and I am happy to say I was not disappointed.
Sarah has been duped into participating on a gameshow called The Princes Game by her prankster sister. She doesn't want to be there and is certain that she will be kicked off the show in the first round.
Evan Mershano is looking for a wife ... or is he? As it turns out Evan isn't, its his parents forcing him to fulfil his inheritance clause by proposing to one lucky contestant - if he proposes, he gets to keep his empire, if he doesn't it falls to his younger brother Wyatt. To ensure his empire, he makes a bargain with Sarah - who he realises doesn't and wasn't supposed to be there. He tells her that if she stays until the end of the show and turns down his proposal, he will fund her dream marketing business.
Sarah, obviously unable to turn down an offer like that, quits her job and agrees to the terms, but, as time goes by they both get more than they bargained for.
I loved this sweet little story. I loved the chemistry and cameraderie between Evan and Sarah. It was instant likeability, yes there was attraction but mostly they were friends and thats what I enjoyed reading. The secondary characters were like glue too and really melded the story together.
Evan's character was described in the beginning as being this player type guy, always going through women and being very uncommitted in finding a partner to settle down with, but even at the beginning (yes I know it was inevitable) you knew that he and Sarah were destined to end up together just from the authors descriptions and the scenes she placed them in.
I thought Sarah's character was awesome, she had just enough aloofness to her character but not enough to be standoffish. It really worked with the whole being friends and having a special relationship before finally getting together.
This author knows how to write a story and really capture your attention. I'm definitely hooked on this series and cannot wait to read more.
Amazing just Amazing.What a awesome,fabulous book.
Lexi you are now one of my favourite Authors, as my normal genre to read is PNR and Thrillers but i now have to add Contemparty Romance to my list, as this story had me gripped right from the word go, it was gripping, witty and with some hot steamy sex throughout, heaven.
I totally couldn't get enough of this book it was a page turner at the very best and i devoured this in two evenings,i couldn't put it down and it kept me up until the early hours to finish reading this fantasic story.
Sarah Summers finds herself on a tv game show with thirty other contestants in a contest to find a wife for the billionaire Evan Mershano, but Sarah was duped by her twin sister and cannot get out of the show otherwise she would lose her job and her reputation along with it.Sarah hates that the camera's follow her everywhere so she has a plan to be amoungst the first to be voted off so puts her plan in action, but then that all goes to hell when she meets Will.
For Evan Mershano this is the last thing he wants, a wife to marry and share his life with, but he has no choice in the matter as his parents are making this his last chance to find someone otherwise his inheritance will go to his younger brother, and this is his company that he has built up.
When these two get together they have a chemistry between them that just gets hotter and hotter the more they spent time together, this couple drew me in from the start, the banter and sence of humour they shared was lovely. The sex was explosive and had me biting my nails with the passion that they shared.
I went though alot of emotions towards the end of this story, and i did get to shouting at my kindle and wanted to bang there heads together to get it sorted. The story flowed along at a fast pace that kept me quessing how this was going to all end.
There is just no words to describe this book,Brilliant,Captivating and totally Awesome these are but a few i can think of that i felt whilst reading this.Lexi drew me in totally with this story about Evan and Sarah that i never wanted to end,and to me that is what being a good, no 'Great' Author is all about to get us 'the reader' totally hooked, and boy was i hooked into this world that was Evan and Sarah. Can't wait now for Lexi's next book about Will and Rachel that we got to have a little taste of in this book.Awesome just Awesome.
The Princes’s Game was the first book in the Mershano Empire series by Lexi Foss. It was also my first book by the author, but it definitely won’t be my last.
I loved the beginning. It set the stage for fun, humor, great characters and an entertaining plot.
Evan Mershano was the heir to the Mershano Empire. He was gorgeous, confident, smart and a workaholic. As part of the terms of his trust and inheritance, he had a time limit to wed and produce a child. He was the typical bachelor, so his parents orchestrated a reality dating show to find a wife.
Sarah Summers was a marketing executive. She had dreams of owning her own firm. She also had an identical twin who played pranks on her, including signing Sarah up for a reality dating show.
Although the premise had been set, the plot wasn’t straight forward. Neither Evan nor Sarah were looking for love or permanency. Floss took us through the dating production as well as private moments between Evan and Sarah. It was told from a single POV, Sarah’s. I enjoyed getting into her mind. I also enjoyed the snarky banter and the chemistry between the two. It was off the charts, sexy and entertaining.
For those looking for safe, not so much. It was a dating show, so other women drama was present, but not exactly like you’d expect. As to the plot, it came full circle and I liked the ending but I craved more closure. There were several issues that I wanted fleshed out more; which would have provided additional depth. Hopefully we’ll see more clarity in the second book.
Otherwise, it was a quick, humorous and fun read. Will (Evan’s cousin) and Rachel (Sarah’s best friend) have fireworks chemistry and I can’t wait to see where Floss takes us next in The Charmer’s Gambit.
Evan Mershano is a billionaire hotel owner who's looking for a wife and mother to his heir. So he does what every billionaire does - he goes on a game show! Riiiggghhhtttt.
Except, it isn't quite as straightforward as that. Because Evan doesn't want a wife, and he certainly doesn't want children, but unfortunately, there's a tiny problem. If Evan wants to keep his fortune, he doesn't have a choice.
Sarah Summers finds herself on the show thanks to a prank by her identical twin sister, Abby (who I would have absolutely killed if she'd done to me what she does to Sarah).
Evan and Sarah hit it off, and when Evan reveals to Sarah that if she refuses his proposal at the end of the show (which extracts him from his marital responsibilities), then he will fund her ambitions to start her own marketing firm.
My Review
I love to read a wide variety of genre's. Sometimes, I want the dark, gritty underworld that crime thrillers bring, sometimes I want to be swept away into a fantasy world, and sometimes, I want something exactly like this book. The Prince's Game is such an easy read. The pages simply fly by and before you know it, you've reached the end.
I adored Evan and Sarah. Yes the premise of finding your match on a game show is very 'The Batchelor', but the twist that Evan isn't there of his own volition gives this light romance a nice bit of conflict and tension.
Sarah is a brilliant character. Witty, charming, believable, I'd definitely go for a night on the town with her - it would be a night you wouldn't forget.
Evan is hot, sure, but he's also a really nice guy and I liked how the author showed that. She let us see his vulnerability and his inner turmoil at having to play out this stupid game, but he does it with grace, even though some of the contestants would challenge my nan's patience (and she was a very patient woman!)
There's also a secondary storyline threading through; that of Rachel (Sarah's best friend) and Will (Evan's cousin) which is the subject of the second book in the series and one I am very much looking forward to.
I would definitely recommend this book for a light easy read with likeable characters and a satisfactory ending.
With thanks to the author for an advance copy of The Prince's Game.
I'll start off by saying I loved this book and I had a slightly grumpy feeling inside when I had to put it down on the few occasions I did. This did surprise me a bit as the subject matter, gorgeous billionaire bachelor goes on game show, dates and judges 30 different women to choose a wife at the end, is not actually a TV show I would watch......normally! The last thing Evan Mershano wants or needs is a wife, especially one who is really only there for the money, but to keep the peace and his inheritance, he agrees to play The Princes Game. He can always bury himself in his work after..... Right? Sarah Summers is not happy to be a contestant on the game show, but thanks to a prank by her identical twin sister that has stepped way over the line, she's stuck there until she gets eliminated, as soon as possible if she has her way (even if Evan turns out to be as hot as hell). Evan and Sarah strike a deal to give them what they both wish for when they discover the other doesn't want to be there, but their water tight agreement doesn't quite go to plan!
Both Evan and Sarah drew me in from the start, they are likeable and smart, people I like to think I'd get on with. The further the game goes along, the hotter their chemistry (and their "off camera" time) got. They were so good together, but both tried hard to deny where their feelings were headed. You can feel the tension and Evans obvious discomfort with the things he has to do to "make it good tv" I'd want to throttle Paul the director if I were him! Sarah was made to feel very uncomfortable at times, especially where one contestant in particular was concerned. The story flowed, the backstage parts of the tv show were fascinating and resulted in a fabulous book I loved reading. I can't wait to read the next book in this series and more of Lexi C Foss. Thanks to her for an ARC of this intriguing and heart warming story.
In all honesty, I love Lexi's PNR books more, but she did a wonderful job on this book as well. It was enthralling and funny and the writing was as amazing as always.
This book had me thinking about the Selection by Kiera Cass with the whole dating show thing, but then woven into an adult package. I really liked these characters, as I always do when it comes to a Foss book, and can't wait to read about the other characters that were introduced in this one.
If you're looking for a cute, fast paced and lighthearted romance, this is definitely one I'd recommend reading! I rated it 4 stars.
The Prince’s Game by Lexi C. Foss a sublime five-star read, this is the first book in the Mershano Empire series, and what a kick start. It’s the first book by this author I have read, but I am confident it won’t be the last. I’ll be honest when this book was recommended to me I didn’t know if I was going to read it, as I don’t like much reality television so reading a book about it wasn’t something I was interested in. But the cover looked good, (Hot model) and I was tempted, I am so glad I was, normally I don’t judge a book by its cover, and never have I been happier that I did. This book has had me so up and down, my stomach has been up and down so much it was like living in a washing machine. The Prince of New Orleans Evan Mershano is a billionaire bachelor, he runs the Mershano empire of hotels all around the world. The only drawback is the fact that he may lose it all unless he gets married, or comes to an arrangement with his parents after a clause in his trust. This has meant that he is going to date 30 women to find the one he can bare to be married to, something he can’t imagine himself ever wanting, as marriage is an outdated institution in his eyes. Sarah Savannah Summers is either going to go on a reality television show or prison for murdering her twin sister Abigail Bridget Summers, as twins they have always had a competitive streak and been pranking each other for years, but this time Abigail may have just gone too far. When Sarah realises that she can’t get out of the dating show her sister has set her up for, she goes ahead with it, and sets about being the worst contestant so she will be kicked off first. At least that’s what she tries at first, but sometimes fate has other plans for us and Sarah is about to find that out. This was such a funny story, they situations they end up in are well planned and make you think, it’s not a typical romance, but it is a great love story.
This is the second book by Lexi C. Foss’s that I have had the pleasure to read. The Prince’s Game is quite different from her first book, Blood Laws, which shows the range of skills this new author has. The Prince’s Game is a perfect sweet romantic read for anyone who enjoys The Bachelor or the show Unreal. If you are not a TV fan you might end up watching these shows after reading The Prince’s Game to get over your book hangover. Evan is hot and Sarah is smart, the perfect book couple to read about. A five-star read because well…abs.
I really should have expected another great books from author, Lexi C. Foss. Yet like a cynic, I was hesitant to read this story, especially since reality shows aren't my thing. I was also not looking forward to reading about another rich CEO, as I had assumed he was dominant and dark like most characters these days.
**I assure you it's not that kind of story.** Far from it!
The author very quickly shows the reader that the main characters aren't into reality shows either. So how did they end up on one? I won't tell you that. I will tell you about Evan and Sarah.
The prince, is not really a prince. He is rich and is a CEO but Evan breaks the mold. I liked him right away, because he knew how to laugh and be at ease. What's better then a smart guy that does good banter with a head full of right-out-of-bed-messy hair and sexy black leather jacket. He's also a single guy just trying to keep his job, the job he's worked very hard at building up.
Sarah is a witty, sarcastic, and I loved she spoke her mind, but will that help when stuck in a joke that's gone to far. She too just wants to get back to her life and job. Sarah does what's required of her then is expecting to be sent home quickly, and will graciously go. But then the story would be to short.
Even in a difficult situation Evan finds the silverlining, Sarah is that lining. They make a deal that will be best for them both. A friendship grows and of course sexual tension. The fun question of who will break first. Lucky for us it doesn't take long. This book is hot, funny and romantic. The story is well written, has depth, emotions, and originality. I can not wait to see what Lexi has planned for book two in this series.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Abbey and Sarah are sisters - they are identical twins in every way but one- their personalities. Abbey is the free spirit who thinks the world is her playground - she has never learned that there are consequences to every action Sarah is the goal-oriented and more serious of the two - she has a plan and she has goals -she does not need a man to take care of her. Sure things are hectic right now, no spare time, no BF - and that is how this whole mess got started! Abbey has always felt Sarah needed to loosen up a little and live- so she auditions on a reality dating show as her sister Sarah- it's a harmless joke right?
I fell in love with Sarah and Evan from the opening scene! They have so much personality and they draw you in and keep you until the last page. This is one of those reads that you honestly can not put down! The characters are so alive and the supporting cast <3- I can not wait to read their stories!! Originally received and complimentary copy - ended up purchasing
This was going very good until just about the end twist.
I was all into giving it 5 stars, because it was a new setting: game show, a strong female, a strong male, communication between them, light OW drama, etc. But the big twist came, spoiled it all and I was like "WTF?". The problem was that the big twist was in direct contradiction to the previous characterization of the male lead. A guy like him wouldn't let something like the big twist happen and it led to my disappointment with the book.
Great Scott @ Platypire The Prince’s Game by Lexi C. Foss
4 Platypires
I met Foss at a book signing and this story piqued my interest. It was also sold out, which I took as a particularly good sign. So I instantly bought it and finally read it.
Such a cute story! Evan and Sarah have undeniable chemistry and their banter was so adorable! I honestly felt like I was there but was pissed that I was still cuddled up in bed by myself.
I look forward to reading more from Foss and hopefully more of Evan and Sarah.
I'm not one for billionaire romances as they are normally too cliche for my liking. But The Prince's Game has given the billionaire romance a brand new twist. I absolutely loved this book and simply could not put it down. Evan and Sarah are strong believable characters and I fell in love with both of them! I don't want to give the game away with any spoilers but the story doesn't let up for a second, the pace is incredible and the only downside is the ending comes too quickly. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series.
I really loved this love story of Evan and Sarah. Two strong characters that beat the odds and give me all the feels! I love that they treat each other as equals and are honest with each other.
I would recommend this read and can't wait to read the next one!
Fantastic story. I have never been a fan of the dating shows on TV because it all seems so staged. This book have insight into that. I could totally understand Sarah and her feelings in this story. I loved the characters, the friends, and the chemistry.
I will definitely be checking out the next book as both Rachel and Will piqued my interest.
A marriage game and a set of twin sister makes for a fun book of two people trying to manage a relationship in front of cameras. Misunderstanding happens but loves find a way
The Prince’s Game (Mershano Empire Book 1) by Lexi C Foss
5 Stars
Sarah Summers has dreams of opening up her own marketing firm someday, but today she must be happy with working for another marketing firm to help her make her dreams a reality. She has an amazing best friend who just happens to be a very successful lawyer, a devious twin sister that loves to pull pranks on her, the same sister she is now plotting revenge against, and no dreams in the near future of any kind of relationship as the ones in her past didn’t take her career serious enough and her career means everything to her.
Evan Mershano aka The Prince, a billionaire bachelor. He runs the family empire but with the stipulation that he marries and has children or his whole empire will be given to his younger brother. He has no interest in getting married, he is married to his work and although hates it he is forced to play The Prince’s Game, a reality dating show where in the end he will if his family has anything to say about it choose a wife.
Thanks to her sister, Sarah is now a contestant on a reality dating show, and in serious danger of losing her job if she can’t find a way to get kicked off as soon as possible. So what if The Prince is gorgeous, and it doesn’t matter that he has a really nice a**, she has to find a way out of this and quick without ruining her reputation or being sued for breaking a contract. Not to mention she wants nothing to do with this marriage business and there’s the matter of plotting revenge against her sister. Then out of nowhere she receives a proposition, stay on the show till the end and refuse the Prince’s proposal and he will invest all she needs to make her career dreams come true. What will Sarah do? Can she really consider this? Can Evan pull this off? Can he turn the tables back on his family and still keep his empire? What happens when what started as a game turns into something completely unexpected and will misunderstandings put all contracts in danger?
I absolutely loved this book! I was feeling it all throughout the whole story. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I yelled at my kindle a few times. This is my first read by this author but will in no way be my last. Im very much looking forward to the next Mershano installment and any and all of her other books. Loved it!!
5 stars! The Prince’s Game is the first book in the Mershano Empire series by Lexi C. Foss and I have to ask where has this author been hiding? I had the absolute pleasure of reading her debut novel ‘Blood Laws’ which was amazing so I was a little excited when I picked this one up and not only is it completely different to her other book but also just as outstanding! She is one talented author and certainly one to keep an eye on! I cannot wait to read more from her! I have to say when I first picked up this and read the synopsis I thought I was in for a predictable story but I was completely wrong! It was full of amazing characters who I loved straight away. There were funny times, sarcastic moments, hot and steamy encounters and some emotional times as well. It truly kept me guessing until the very end – and what an ending it was! The whole story had this amazing real life feel about it so I found myself invested into these characters lives. Poor Sarah finds herself on a reality dating show after her twin sister plays her biggest prank to date on her. I really liked Sarah’s character – she wasn’t taking the show all that seriously. She was more than happy to keep trying to put Evan off so that she could go home to her job and possibly kill her sister for doing this to her! She had a great personality – she was funny and very sarcastic and I found myself instantly drawn to her! I really liked Evan and I did feel so sorry for him! Thrown into this game show so that he can appease his family and get what is rightfully his. For me I think Evan’s character was the one that developed the most over the story. He changed a lot and I loved some of the scenes between him and Sarah – their chemistry was great but they also had a really good connection with each other. Sarah and Evan were backed up by some very funny secondary characters, two of my favourites being Rachel (Sarah’s best friend and lawyer!) and Will (Evan’s cousin) – I can’t wait to read their story I think there are some fireworks to come between those two!! I really cannot wait to see what this author has in store for us next with this series! If you love a sweet romance with characters that have fantastic chemistry then you will absolutely loved this book! I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Sarah Summers finds herself facing yet another of her twin sister, Abby’s prank but this time there is more at stake. Oh her sister was dead and pay back was a bitch…. As Sarah finds herself trapped on a reality dating show she finds more than she bargained for but one thing was for sure she would get herself voted off the show the very first chance she gets. But that seems easier said than done. When fronted by the devil himself with a proposition she can’t refuse, Sarah decides to stay. Staying means she will get her dream of owning her own business in marketing and that means helping those she has decided are worth if. But staying is not without it’s risks. Being faced day in and day out with the show finally wears Sarah down but what can she do? An agreement is an agreement and a binding one at that.
Evan Mershano is the billionaire prince of the Mershano empire but with that comes conditions. Conditions that see him playing a game that he doesn’t want to play but two can play the game, correct? He is a bachelor married to his job so marriage itself is not ever on the cards. If he doesn’t live up to expectations he doesn’t get to keep control of his empire. Evan finds a solution staring him in the face, one where he can meet those expectations and conditions and maintain control of his empire. When Evan takes control he finds more than he bargained for. What he once thought he wanted had been twisted on it’s ear.
Will Sarah safe guard her heart? Will she be able to stand the test of time? Will she get more than she ever dreamed or will reality get in the way? Will Sarah learn that all is not as it seems in time to save herself? Will Evan see that there is more to life? Will he lose the one person he thought he could trust? Can he play the Prince’s game and win? But what is the cost if he does win?
I enjoyed reading this story. Lexi knows how to write and capture your attention. I enjoyed the chemistry and friendship between the characters.
Lexi Foss' The Prince's Game is a contemporary romantic comedy. Not the first book I have read by this author, but each book I read endears me more to this author. The Prince's Game is the first book in the Mershano Empire series. This was a remarkable read that had me instantly intrigued, on the edge of my seat, and chuckling through all the hilarious parts.
What could possibly be more fun than reading a story about a sister getting her twin involved in a dating show in the pursuit of marriage. Talk about a wild prank that could land Sarah Summers in the most unexpected situations. Lexi Foss amazed me with her twin sister pranks and how this involves Sarah into the plot of the story. It's adorable, yet conniving... with the potential of something undefined.
I loved Sarah's character. She is goal oriented and a high achiever. She does not like deterring from her course and her sister's latest prank could not have come at a worse time. As we learn more about Sarah as the story progresses, I wish I had a sister like her growing up. It would make life truly entertaining and a heck of a story to share.
As for Evan Mershano, he is a billionaire bachelor, the prize of the game or show, whichever way you look at it. However, it's a game that has more at stake than anyone truly knows. At points through this story, he comes off cocky and conceited. However, at other times, caring and compassionate. I did enjoy reading the word play that occurred back and forth between characters, adding the fun and humor to the story.
If you are a fan of Lexi Foss, you must read this book. If you have not read one of this author's books yet, what are you waiting for?!
I seriously loved Sarah and Evan’s story. Even though I don’t like watching shows like the Bachelor I enjoy reading similar fictional plots. In a book, we can see the ins, the outs, and the behind the scenes. We can also see and feel what the characters are going through vs. a TV show that seems mostly staged. When Sarah is tricked onto the show due to her twin’s latest prank, Sarah does everything she can to ruin her chances of being selected. While Evan is forced to go onto the show to appease his family, he is intrigued to see why this beautiful charming woman is so hot and cold. Until he discovers she really doesn’t want to be there at all. So he makes her an offer that she can’t refuse. This romance is a quick, easy read full of humor, steaminess and tension (the type of conflicts that would arise in any Bachelor like TV show) One of the things I liked most about this cute romance is that the characters are believable and likable. Evan is genuinely a nice person while Sarah is charming, strong willed and determined. I loved seeing inside their minds as the game show continued, and the more obstacles they faced while starting to fall for each other. I read this book while sunbathing on the beach in the Bahamas (a trip I won from work/ anniversary vacation) and was hardcore fangirling when I read a scene that took place in the Bahamas! This was my first Lexi C Foss book and I can easily say she is one of my favorite authors now. She bounces back and forth between paranormal romance and contemporary. I've recommended this book to my best friends and they loved it. I am so ready to read the next book in this series.
Do you like watching The Bachelor? Ever wonder what really goes on behind the scenes of a reality show like that? Love reading contemporary romance novels? Then this book is perfect for you! This story is about Sarah who is a marketing powerhouse from Chicago who's twin sister Abby set her up to be a contestant on a dating game show. Evan is the CEO of a huge hotel empire but due to the stipulations of his inheritance he needs to produce an heir to his family empire by his 38th birthday. He agrees to this dating game to please his parents. Along the way these unlikely two find out that they can help each other out of this sticky situation, but then sparks start flying! This is such a fascinating story with exciting characters that draw you in from the first chapter, and then leaves you wanting the next book in the series! I'm not usually a huge fan of contemporary romance, but this story felt so genuine and real that you can't help but fall in love. 5 Stars
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I started this book thinking "here we go again ". There's a book out there with a similar plot and I was skeptic. Well wasn't I wrong !
I loved this book! The storyline flowed well, the banter was good and the sex scenes were hot. I am so glad I came across this author and I hope there will be more! You have gotten yourself a fan.
The Prince's Game (Mershano Empire Book 1) By: Lexi C. Foss 5 out of 5 stars
The story The Prince's Game (Mershano Empire Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss is a contemporary romantic comedy. Sarah Summers is not amused when she finds herself trapped on a reality dating show thanks to a prank by her twin sister. She can’t get out if it so she decides that she will get herself voted off the show the first chance she gets. It will be really easy as she doesn’t want to be there, right? Evan Mershano must live up to certain expectations in order to keep control of his empire. Going on a reality dating show is the last thing he wants to do. Then when an opportunity is set before him he jumps at it and knows that he can satisfy expectations and keep his empire. It will be very simple, right?
I loved reading this story. It was hilarious in regards to the reality show and had me laughing out loud. It also is a wonderful story on how two people who thought they knew what they wanted only to find an unexpected attraction to each other. Sarah is a woman who knows what she wants. It doesn’t include getting married or a family at the moment. She wants to start her own marketing business, however, lacks the funds. Then when she finds herself having to compete on a reality dating show she is given an opportunity for her dreams to come true. Play the part and say no to Evan’s proposal of marriage and she will get the funds she needs. Sarah soon finds this to be a situation that is harder than it seems as feelings for Evan start to grow stronger. Will Sarah be able to keep to the agreement or will her feelings for Evan cloud the situation?
Evan is put in a situation that has him facing the loss of his empire to a certain stipulation. He doesn’t want to get married and have a family as he is married to his work. When he meets Sarah he assumes that she is just like all the rest of the contestants. However, once they start talking he realizes that he has an out of his current situation. The only problem, Evan starts to fall for Sarah. Will Sarah pull down all of the walls that Evan has constructed around himself and find her way into his heart? Will he find himself wanting to change to terms of the agreement that they have?
This is the second book I have read by the author and she has an amazing ability to write storylines that will keep you turning pages wanting to know what happens next. The characters that she creates are amazing. I believe that it shows what we have all suspected in regards to reality dating shows with a bit of a twist put in. While most of this book has a humorous tone to it, there are some parts that will have you getting that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with knowing when two people are meant for each other. You will be rooting for Evan and Sarah to get their HEA. This story also shows that importance of communication in any relationship or agreement. This is a book that I got lost in for the afternoon and highly recommend it and the author’s other work. This story does contain adult language and situations which include some very romantic love scenes. It would be for those 18 years of age or older.
Sarah wants to kill her twin sister Abby. Why? Bc Abby thought it would be a good idea to get her sister to participate in a reality show to marry a billionaire. Pranks have always been spent between them, but this time Abby has gone too far. Abby is the one who does the auditions and when she is selected she leaves for Europe and leaves Sarah to go in her place. Sarah tries to get rid of this but bc of the contract signed by Abby she is forced to participate. So now she has to compete with a lot of women who are willing to do everything to win, and the only thing she wants is to be the first expelled to return to her life. But unwittingly she passes the tests and manages to capture the attention of Evan, the heir of a hotel chain that has to get married and produce an heir if he wants to inherit the hotel empire. Evan and Sarah reach an agreement, she stays the 2 months that the program lasts, rejects the proposal of marriage (which is a loophole in the agreement that Ethan has with his parents and allows him to inherit) and he gives her money for her to start her business. What none of them had considered is the immense sexual chemistry between them and although they try to be only sex, it is evolving into something else.
“I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Sarah. I’m hoping we can negotiate a new contract”—where you become my wife. I want to be with you, always, and I’m not just saying that. You know I mean what I say, and I mean this.”“I’m sorry, Evan. I can’t.”
I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I haven't read anything from this author but I met her at a signing this year and wanted to give read something from her. Boy was I in for a shocker! I actually didn't read anything about this book, didn't read the blurb, only thing I saw was the cover and one clicked. I am extremely happy to say I LOVED it!!! It was something so different than I have read and I couldn't put it down!
Sarah made me laugh so much and I just loved her attitude throughout this book!! Her sister Abby upset me a little but to be honest that is a sister for you, and I loved it!! Her best friend Rachel was pretty funny too and I'm super excited to see that she has her own book! Evan I wasn't so sure about, and I don't really think I made up my mind about him until the very end. I kept going back and forth with a love/hate relationship with him because I couldn't read him or even anticipate anything he did.
This book was a new experience for me because I've never read anything like this before which threw me off and little but turned this book into so much more than I thought possible! I am not only a fan of the lady but now a fan of her work and can't wait to read the next book!!!
