5 motherf**king stars isn't enough for this book but it's all I am allowed to give.
Let's see if I can do this book justice in this review, I doubt it but I'm going to try. So Cat tried her hand in the MC world in this book and let's just say she didn't just knock it out of the park she knocked it out of this world!!! Words that come to mind badass, raw, hot, steamy, hard, shocking, twisted and funny! Yes there is funny in this MC book it's Cat's own twist to it that makes it her own brand and I love it!!! Cat has not only mastered the genre of rockers and tattooed bad boys and she ripped our hearts out in Without Regret but now she has without a doubt in one book mastered and will takeover the MC world by storm!!! I loved going on this Wild ride with her and the guys and girls of The Twisted Mayhem MC and look forward to the next books in the series. The men are all hot alpha men who protect the club and women without hesitation. And then what love the most about this MC book is that Cat doesn't have any weak ass females, all her females are strong and don't take any crap and stand up for themselves. And in this book there are all sorts of twists and turns and surprises that you want even see coming!!! You won't want to put this book down once you start reading so be prepared. Also I have dibs on Colt and Jensen just fyi!!! I really love this book and can't wait for the rest of this badass bikers to get their books!! You will go through every emotion reading this book!! You will cry, you will laugh, you will want to throw your kindle across the room, you will need to take a shower, and you will be shock as hell at the turn of events that happens! So throw on your leathers on and hang on for one hell of a ride!!!! I highly highly recommend this book!

He takes you in for protection... and all hell breaks loose from there.
Stone is the President of an MC club.
Roanne doesn't want to be there.
Violence, hot, secrets, lies. The list is endless.
This book marveled me. It's my first Cat Mason book and I couldn't get enough of it.
She ripped me up, tore me down and sank her MC claws into me.
I'm praising Retaliation from the rooftops.

Omg! This has to be one of the best MC books I have read for a long time. It has so many twist and turns you never see the surprises coming until they hit you square in the face. The character are all brilliant and the dynamic if the club is great. I was completely engrossed in the wonderful and dangerous world of The Twisted Mayhem MC.
The book is the start of what looks to be a great series. There are so many characters that deserve their own book but this one was that of crazy relationship of Jensen the president of the club and his childhood sweetheart Roanne, who's heart he broke.
I can not tell you just how much I enjoyed this book. It made a change that not everyone lives to tell the tale and the great night doesny always save the day. And that is all good for me. It made it seem more real. A Huge recommend from me.

Retaliation is the story of Roanne and Jensen/Stone. They’d known and loved each other since being small children, but hadn’t spoken to each other for years after he walked away with no explanation.
When her father’s car is blown up as he drives away from her, Stone quickly sweeps in and whisks Ro away to the Twisted Mayhem clubhouse where he is the President. Fast paced, action packed, drama filled and full of twists and turns, the story is about finding out who and why the car was blown, and just what’s going to happen next once a pushy Fed gets involved. Plus of course the sexy times that happen as Stone and Ro get reacquainted with each other.
I really enjoyed this book. I’d never read Cat Mason before, but I like her style of writing and will be reading more from her. Although it ends with a slight cliffy, it’s more of a lead in to book two rather than an OMG how can you leave it like that moment. I give Retaliation 5 stars.

I received an ARC for an honest review.
This was my first book by Cat Mason and I would definitely read another. There were some things about this book that I loved and some things about this book that left me wanting more. The book starts out with a bang, literally, and kind of goes hyperspeed from there. There is a lot going on in this story, most of it kept me enthralled. There was the story of Jensen's parents and what happened to them, Roanne's dad and what revolved around him, and Roanne and Jensen getting to know each other again after being apart for a while. It had some humor with some of the other Twisted Mayhem MC guys. Schrader was full of comic relief. I like that Roanne was a strong woman... but almost to a fault. You know the type. In danger, and wants to move full force into that danger, and everyone knows that is not always smart. Thinking she can do everything on her own, and that never turns out well.
Jensen and Roanne grew up together. Their father's owned a company together. Jensen was in love with Roanne and left her life a while ago. What I wanted to know was, he said he always loved her, watched her after he left. Why did she not ask more questions about that? I understand, kind of why he left, but if he loved her, why not stay or let her know or make sure she knew that he was around, making sure she was safe. Overall, I would give the book about 3.5 stars and am looking forward to Schrader's book. Cat did a good job on her first try at an MC book and I think that they will only get better!

I am a die hard MC fan. If it's MC, I'm in. This Jensen Stone is going to become one of the great "MC alpha's," I'm saying right now . I am almost embarrassed to admit that this is my very first Cat Mason read. This book was suggested to me by an author, who read it fell hard and told me to get on it.
This is a non stop story, you get a glimpse of Jensen and Roanne's past , without it dragging on. It was enough that you understand the connection, without beating it down our throats, I appreciate that so much.
Roanne is such an awesome leading lady. She is a princess of sorts, but watch out when she gets riled up. She will absolutely not back down and will do her best to best Jensen. This is an action packed story that takes you for a wild ride. Never expecting who is going to show up or what is going to happen next. The supporting cast of characters has me so excited for the books to come.Schrader and Cheyenne have my interests peaked. As well as Colt and Henley. I am so looking forward to what is next!
Roanne and Jensen's chemistry is, for me up there with some of my favorite MC couples, Deuce and Eva, Tack and Tyra, Grizz and Ginny the greats as I like to call them. This is a sexy sexy story! They argue and then take out on each other in just the absolute best way...
I will tell you that there is a good amount of violence in this story, but hello...it is called Retaliation and boy does it live up to its name.
I am such a fan of this book and the ones yet to come!

I'm not a huge fan of MC Club books BUUUUUTTTTT
THIS BOOK well this book is the exception! I LOVE this book!
It's hot. It's hard. It's riddled with alpha male hotness. It's got plot twists coming out its ears. I swear just when you think 'whew" and sit back off the edge of your seat your pulled right back to the edge with your pulse pounding in your ears.
Page after page of twists and turns. Steam floating off it's pages pulling you into a whirly world of Mayhem. Twisted Mayhem. Where nothing is what it seems, and the guy, the Pres.. well he can rock your world and blow it up all at the same time!

My first book by this author and it was phenomenal. This book has everything you want in an MC Series. Bad ass hero, Stone, the president of Twisted Mayhem MC, and a sassy, smart mouth heroine, Ro. I read this book in one sitting. It has suspense, drama, funny banter, hot sex and 2 people who love each other deeply. Stone and Ro grew up as best friends but a family death forced Stone to leave. When Ro's dad was killed in an accident, Stone comes back into Ro's life to protect her. They discover that they never stopped loving each other. I loved the secondary characters such as Schrader. Cant wait for his book. Get this book as soon as you can.

Absolutely wonderful!! I love Cat Mason's writing and when I saw that she was giving a go with MC, I was thinking hell yeah! And she nailed it! Retaliation is actually what you're looking for in an MC book. Danger, thrills, sex and hot alpha bikers.
Roanne and Stone have known each other their whole lives, when he joined an MC they drifted apart. Now her father is in danger and Stone shows up to save the day. Can she get past the hurt of him leaving? Will he convince her to stay?
I am totally in love with these characters! Their story and the excitement of it. We are introduced to a band of brothers who already have my heart and I can't wait to read more about them. Retaliation is a wonderful exciting read that is a total must read. Yes it does end with words we sometimes hate seeing... to be continued... but there is so much to this story that I'm just thankful we are getting more. Cat's writing as always is phenomenal and I so can't wait for the next book. I'm hooked!

Wow! I'm giving this new MC series all the stars! I could hardly set the book down. Roanne is the perfect, feisty lady to find out what happened to her daddy. And Jensen Stone...omg! That man protects what's his and he's not messing around. He will f*ck you up if you screw him over. Loved all the MC guys. Colt, Schrader, Jinks...all y'all. I can't wait to read what happens next! I'm hooked!

First, and foremost, this books is deserving of so many more than just 5 stars. My jaw is left on the floor after finishing this book-not only from the cliffhanger for the next book, but from the truly amazing writing talent Cat Mason has brought to the table. The details of the MC life-were so intricate-This author went above and beyond to create a solid picture for us regarding absolutely everything in this book dealing with a motorcycle club. Often times, you feel like you're right there with Roanne Frazier and Jensen Stone-that's how amazingly vivid the author has written these scenes.
Roanne Frazier is mixed up in quite possibly the biggest mess ever-her father's car explodes seconds after speaking with his daughter and leaving the house. Roanne finds herself admist vengeance seeking individuals for an act that was committed years before-something she has been kept in the dark from. Her father Alfred, and childhood friend Jensen Stone, whose family was business partners with the Fraziers, have kept Roanne in the dark for good reason. When Roanne finally learns the truth, can her childhood crush, now president of the Twisted Mayhem MC, protect her?
Roanne is a strong willed, independent, fearless, and loveable heroine. We immediately feel her pain when her world is turned upside down, and she's faced with the searing chemistry between Jensen. Jensen Stone is as hot as any alpha in any book has ever been. While trying to protect Roanne, her father, and his club, we get a good look into the pressures that Jensen is under. These characters truly, were some of the best written characters I have ever read. With all the plot twists going on, often times, in other books, you are in a spot feeling frustrated with characters. Not in this book! These two characters keep you guessing throughout the whole book- they're people you want to know in real life.
The plot- I can not stress how creative it was, and how unique it has made this book. Absolutely everything about this book was amazing-down to the grammar and correct use of commas. Retaliation is an absolute MUST read. Cat Mason is the new queen of MC romances. You do not want to miss this book! - Victoria

I read not because I want to, but because I have to. It is what feeds me, keeps me alive and motivates me. It is my lifeline. One of the greatest things about being a diehard reader is discovering amazing new authors. They may not be new to the game perhaps, just new to me. But oh, when I discover one, I want to ring the bells, shout it out to the world, and lose myself in their words. I have no idea where Cat comes up with the ideas for her books. I f#$%ing loved this book. I want to put so much of what happened in the book in my review but I hate spoilers . All I can say is its balls to the walls with bad a$$ bikers, and they are packing some heat. If your looking for a book that has bikers, got got scenes, double crossing and killing, this book is for you. The male characters are really bad a$$es. And the female characters are even more kick a$$ in their own ways. At first I didn't think Ro was gonna be able to handle herself in this group but you know the term you can't judge a book by it cover. That's her. To goes through a lot of stuff in this book. She takes every hit and still stands. Stone is such a smexy character and and when reading certain parts you can feel that take charge, you can't mess with me attitude. But he backs up everything he says. He loves Ro and just wants to protect her from everything. She's head strong and wants retribution for what has happened to her family. Schrader is the comic relief in my eyes. And I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, grief, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak.
This is Roanne and Jensen’s story. Jensen is the president of the Twisted Mayhem MC and he has no problem getting his hands dirty. He has nothing to lose so he is reckless. Roanne is caught in the middle of a war. Secrets are about to be exposed. Will she be safe? Or will she have to turn to her childhood crush to get the protection she needs? Can she trust him? Roanne needs to understand what is happening. Jensen wants her safe. But the chemistry is just messing with everything they are already dealing with. Can they live long enough to deal with the attraction? With all the secrets, will she ever be able to trust Jensen to give her what she needs?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.

But when Jensen left to join the Twisted Mayhem MC, he never looked back, leaving Ro and breaking her young heart. But when Ro’s father’s is seemingly blown up in his car, right before her very eyes, Jensen comes for her, putting her under his and the club’s protection (even if she doesn’t want it). Ro soon learns her father, Jensen and just about everything she believes in are not as they seem. Who can she truly trust, who should she believe? This is a thrilling story that will keep you on the edge of your seat as Ro and Jensen sort out they cards they have been dealt. 2 Thumbs Up for a terrific book and this reader is anxiously awaiting book 2 in the Twisted Mayhem MC series.

OMG I loved this book...I really did. I saw it was recommended by another author and figured I might as well get it since I do love a good biker romance. It was very exciting and had a really complex and original storyline that kept me interested until the very last page.
Stone and Ro were perfect for each other, both having grown up together with family ties to business...and when they are thrown together after tragedy, things re-heat up and life becomes very complicated for both of them.
I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book because there was a mini-cliffhanger at the end of this one.

This book makes absolutely no sense. No buildup or character development. This book could have seriously used a prequel to help explain what the heck is going on. They've supposedly grown up together, but we're never given any flashbacks. Just have to take the author's word that they had this amazing chemistry. Not buying it.

Everything you look for in an Biker MC book. Ro ans Stone have been friends since childhood. When Stones parents were killed he stepped away from Ro. He never stopped thinking or caring about her, but life has a way of getting in the way. Love Ro's kick ass spirit. A chick that take all she can take and fights back. Highly recommend reading this book. You will not be disappointed.

Roanne Frazier is not your typical rich girl. She doesn't want to follow in her father's footsteps, in fact she tries to stay out of her father's business but he pushes her to embrace what she was born into her. She comes home one night errr well morning and her father catches her, he is mad that once again she is off having fun, this is not how his daughter should act. He and her get into an argument and he leaves, saying he has a meeting to attend to. She is furious but she loves her dad. After a couple minutes there is an explosion that rocks the house. She runs out to find her father's car engulfed in flames. Police and fire trucks all over, questions being asked and the one man she never thought she would see again enters and tell the cops she is leaving with him. Once he has her away from the scene, she is furious and wants an explanation. Being president of the Twisted Mayhem MC club Jensen once again seeing the lady who he has never forgotten. The girl he grew up with from the time they were in kindergarden together. How and why is he back in her life, something she is asking herself and what has this got to do with her dad. She is starting to believe there are many things in her life she doesn't understand. With Roanne back in his life will he be able to save her from the danger that lurks. I have never read anything from this author before and I'll say she tells a fantastic story. Her characters are lovable and yet gruff and even a few funny lines throughout where I got quite a chuckle. I wonderful 5 star read!!!

It started with a BANG and continued to rock my world until the last page. Now, I’m clawing at my kindle as if I can I press on the “next” hard enough I’ll make more words appear.
It is fast-paced, lose-your-breath funny, and full of hard-ass alpha men who know how to love a woman (just like we like them!).
I love the twists and turns that are impossible to predict. I love the sexy romance. I love the dialogue. I love EVERYTHING about this book.

Holy Mother of all that is Holy! How is this my first Cat Mason book????? What have I been missing out on?
This book had me hooked from the very second I started reading and until the very last page! I LOVE these characters and even though MC is a newer genera for me I am an even bigger fan after reading this book.
This is book 1 in the series and I can not wait to dive into book 2 because I have to have more of these sexy bikers.

I'm a huge fan of MC books and am so happy I've found another author who can give me my fix on my MC Alpha bad boy love.
Loved Retaliation! Full of action, drama and some hella hot chemistry between Stone and Roanne.
Two characters who seem to be so different from each other, are actually the perfect fit.
If you're a fan of the MC genre I totally recommend this book, cannot wait for Schrader's story

Bored
It just was too far fetched. There was no depth to anything it was event after event versus a complete storyline. Too much unnecessary tidbits drawing away from the real purpose. I’m sorry the h was fainting one minute clawing eyes out the next. Roller coaster ride and definitely not in a good way. Don’t waste your money.

Great book!
This was my first Cat Mason book and it will not be my last! This was great from the full on Alpha, Jensen and strong af Ro. I loved the dialogue between al the characters and the brief comic relief that some of the secondary characters brought.

Stone is one arrogant man. He doesn’t take crap from anyone and he calls the shots. Roanne is on strong willed stubborn woman. Who doesn’t take orders from no one. They make for one dynamic explosive couple. Could not wait to see where this story would go.

It was a great read. It has well developed characters you will fall in love with. The story line is well written and smooth flowing with lots of action and some twist. Rated very good
