After giving birth at the age of sixteen, Harlem promised to give her son the world – no matter how hard fulfilling that promise made her life. Two years after Hayden’s birth, Harlem finds herself trying to juggle being a mother, starting college, keeping her business running, and moving out of her brother’s home. Although he and his wife want nothing more than to help Harlem and Hayden, there’s only one person Harlem will ever share the responsibility of raising her son with. His father. Tage Young. Tage Young’s life had been mapped out for him from the womb. He was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps and play in the NFL. Unlike his father, however, Tage was supposed to play long enough to make sure his parents and the rest of his family would be financially taken care of for the rest of their lives. That plan almost came to a halt when Tage and Harlem became parents. Tage foolishly allowed his parents to talk him into not only leaving Memphis for school, but leaving Harlem and Hayden as well. Two years later, Tage has seemingly realized the error of his ways. He wants to fix things with his son… and Harlem. He wants to live for himself. Be his own man. A father to his son. A husband to Harlem. There’s just one thing standing in the way of that – Harlem. Over the past two years she’s saved her love and allowed no man to have access to it because of the heartache she experienced dealing with Tage. And if he thinks she’s going to allow him to waltz back into her life and heart… well… he’s got another thing coming! Or does she? *This is a standalone novel, but the characters were first introduced in Give Me Something I Can Feel.*

I loved everything about this story. The fact that B.Love showed how hurt and closed off Harlem was but then she took the leap of faith and put her fear aside and decided to give Tage another chance at loving her the way she deserves to be loved. It also shows that everyone isn't perfect and that he also had demons he had to fight in order to be the man he was supposed to be to Harlem and his son. This was a phenomenal read and I'll recommend this book to any and everybody because it was that great. That just goes to show B. Love never disappoints because she's a beast with the pen!
This was so beautifully written! I have to give it to him, Tage really came around and he surprised me because I didn't think he would. I just love Knight and Charlie together! Tage and Harlem finally worked out, love is a beautiful thing!!
This was a very interesting book with likable characters. Harlem and Taye Young got their HEA with their son, Hayden after a few ups and downs in their relationship. The characters all showed growth, even Taye's dad toward the end of the story. This book gets a 4**** rating.
B Love never disappoints and this book was great from beginning to end! The characters were very well developed and impressionable, I'm a huge fan and always will be! Kudos girl! ( She's my author crush because her writing is dope)
Harlem Carver is a teen-age single mother, a business owner and is preparing to start college, she wears many, many hats. She has a phenomenal support system with her brother, ex NBA player, Knight & his wife, Charlie, so she's fine with her life. Tage Young's father has groomed him to fulfill his lifelong dream of being an NFL player from a baby and he's honored his father's wishes despite his desire. Until one day, Tage realizes that he's missing out on his son's life and the woman that he loved and abandoned to carry the entire load by herself. Tage has a lot of making up to do, but will he be able to climb the humongous wall that Harlem has erected around her life? Can he get past Harlem's bodyguard brother that has ill-feelings for him after he shied away from his duties as a father?
I so enjoyed SAMLFY! B. Love never fails to resonate life and love in its simplest essence. I loved the portrayal of a young woman that had a very strong character, a strong support system and a devotion to giving her child the very best that she had to offer... in spite her childhood. B. Love did an exceptional job in penning the immaturity of the young male faced with humongous responsibilities that he wasn't prepared to carry...and the evolution of his psyche as he owned up to his failings and took the necessary steps to try to correct his wrong deeds. I love this young couple! Awesome read! Great follow up to Give Me Something I Can Feel. 4.38
I know I'm so late on my reading but this can't be the end! I need like an additional maybe 5 chapters or just a part 2 would suffice lol. I wasn't ready for it to end at all. No lie my heart kind of dropped when the apartment was empty! I thought Tage was playing games. I need to know if Patricia really left. If Harlem had 3 more babies. If Tage finished school.... So basically just about book is what I'm getting at ma'am lol. Great job as always!
These two young people were such a joy to read about. Their love story was very relatable. We all want to protect our hearts once its been broken, but we have to eventually open up and let love in. The words were so poetic, powerful.
I really loved reading about Harlem and Tage. What she went thru with Tage not ready to be a father. They growth these two people went thru shows you with GOD in your life you can accomplish anything. B Love your books are amazing. Looking forward to reading more from you.
Let me start out by saying I loved book 1 and I was very excited to read book 2. So much so that I read book 2 in a day. But, I felt something was missing. It was a good story and I enjoyed it, but it lacked the uniqueness of book 1. I left this story feeling there was more to be said, more that should have happened and the characters were not fully fleshed out.
B. Love has done it again! This was a very well-written book! Lord, that Tage has come a very long way. He matured in so many ways. He has grown from being a boy seeking his father's love and approval to becoming a man living his life for himself and for his son! Seeing him mature was simply amazing. I love seeing his character develop in every area in his life from his thinking to his behavior. Now that Harlem, it took me some time to get used to her. She frustrated me to no end. All the back and forth was just exhausting! How could she expect Tage to mature and chose her when she was just as immature with her thought process. I am glad she had Charlie there to help her realize that she was making Tage pay for other peoples sins and her fears. I'm glad that they both got themselves together enough to make it work. I would love to hear Carmen's story and what is going on with her not attend her own sisters wedding and not visit home. But overall very good book. B. Love's penmanship just gets better and better with every book!
Very good story about Harlem and Tage. Although they were young when Harlem got pregnant they were able to work through their differences. We were able to see them mature in love and learn how to trust one another.
I love that your books are truly love stories. I really appreciate you and your gift of writing. Your transition from the type of books you were going to be writing never swayed me because you are such a talented writer. Harlem was mature for her age and Tage was so charming that I new they would pull through. Harlem had such a good support system that I knew she would find her way. I can't wait to read your next book because you truly get it with your romance novels. A huge thumbs up once again.
Harlem and Tage's story was awesome. Tage really matured a lot and he stepped up to the plate. I felt his frustration with Harlem but I had to keep reminding myself that she was only a teenager. I'm glad that she had Charlie and Knight around to give her the advice she needed. Where was Carmen and why is she so distant with her family? Hopefully we will get her story so that that mystery will be solved.
Oh my goodness! I loved it! It's rare that you find a 16 year old girl that finds love with her child's father and even more rare to find young love (young marriage) nowadays. But, it was great to also see how puppy love turned grown love. I loved Tage and Harlem's Story.
This story was just amazing!!! I cried happy mad n sad tears through out this entire book! Tage turned out to b the complete opposite of what I imagined and I must say he is OMG!! That man fought for his family and didn't give up! He meant he wanted them and he was stopping at nothing to get them! Knight finally giving him permission and advice sealed the deal. Poor Harlem she was going through it with her feelings.. I'm so glad she finally got it together and let that man LOVE her. Great job B you always deliver!
PS what's up with Carmen tho fr fr! How can she miss her lil sister birth of her first born AND the WEDDING day! What is she hiding?? Right now she's on my S••t list
The crazy thing about B. Love is she never disappoints. No matter what she writes about you can feel the emotion through her characters! The love Tage held for Harlem was undeniable and real! Sometimes in life we give up on the right person to love the wrong person, but Harlem kept the love she had for Tage buried deep inside until he undoubtedly pulled it out of her! They show you that although they were young that real love can still exist no matter the age! I would love to get another book about this family to see the growth through out the years!! Great job my love!! Great job!!
I swear you write the hell out these love stories. Some of the words make you reflect on your own life and love. This was such and awesome, emotional yet refreshing book.
This both was so realistic to real life situation when dealing with love and emotions. I like how Tags man up. He had to mature and understand what he had and that his life was his which he could not live his life based on what his dad wanted. The heart wants what it wants and Tage matured enough to know he wanted Harlem and his son. They had great support from individuals who truly understood their situation. This is a great read and I truly recommend this book. This author is fiyah with her pen. She never disappoints. All this love in one great standalone.
You always pull me in couldn't put it down. The love that these two young people had for one another was amazing. Never disappointed keep doing what you do.
Harlem had every right to feel how she felt because Tage had her in her feelings. She couldn't get over almost three years of hurt, pain, and abandonment by the person she loved with her whole being. Yes, she was young but she stepped up into adulthood way before she gotten pregnant, but even though Tage was a year older, it took him longed to reach it. He wanted that insta family since he decided he wanted his family back, but he had to prove himself to be trusted again. Harlem let fear ruled her, and I understood him growing tired of the bouncing act. To really forgive him and to let go of the pain and past, she had to stop punishing him for his boyish behavior. Now that he was a man, Tage began acting like a man and stepped up to his responsibility and won her heart back. People always thinking about having time to do this or that but life happens. I'm glad that Harlem finally realized that and she ran to him and stopped pushing him away.
