Max and the gang are no strangers to battling ghosts, witches, and curses. But when they are hired to free a family of witches who have been locked in their mansion by magic, they find themselves on strange ground. After all, helping witches never was in the job description.
But these witches are in trouble and that puts Max and the gang in a dangerous position. Things only get worse when it comes to light that there are evil powers and ancient curses at play. Especially because Max is certain his clients are hiding important information about the case.

Southern Craft is another great book in the series.! These are always fun ghost, witches, and more with a good mystery and spells galore. Great characters and dialogue, plot and action. Never boring! I really enjoy this series.
This ups the anti with the introduction of new witches and deeper explorations of the craft. Sandra's character development is a highlight of the book, as we see her confidence come out in her abilities and a passion for what she does. However, the interactions between the Porters left me feeling frustrated as their constant bickering and lack of communication felt forced at times. Unfortunately, Max's mother cements herself as my least favorite character in this book. Despite these flaws, the plot is engaging, and the new characters are intriguing. Overall, Southern Craft is a wild ride that fans of the series won't want to miss.
Max and crew are hired to free a family of witches from a curse. Max is struggling with the idea of continuing to help witches. Drummond shares a particularly gruesome story from his past that give Max pause. There seem to be more and more covens coming to the surface since the Hulls are gone. There are several twists and turns that kept me guessing. I am enjoying this world more and more. The author does a great job with the characters – they have depth and growth in each book.
You think Max, Sarah and Drummond had problems before? This time they have to keep even more people out of trouble, solve a wild new mystery and find a families truth behind their lies. If they don't, an ancient secret might destroy them all.
Max Porter and company are back. This time, Max is sure he no longer wants to take a paranormal case as the risks are too high. After the urgings of Drummond, he reluctantly takes on the case of a family stuck inside of a house because of a curse. Digging into the history of the family, the gang realizes things aren’t what they seem to be, and they need to get to the bottom of it before unimaginable power is unleashed to the wrong person. It didn’t take me long to be sucked into the latest installment of Max Porter. I love the antics of everyone, especially Max’s mother who we don’t see too much of but the glimpses we do get are wonderful. The overall mystery feel of the books with a touch of paranormal means that lovers of both genres will like this book and the series in general. As always, the book is well-written, and I love the overall noir feel of these books. In addition, the book is filled with humor, tenseness, intrigue, action, and fun, enough to satisfy many types of readers. Give this book a try, and you don’t need to have read the ones before it to start here. Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-book which I read voluntarily. This exact review will be posted on both Amazon and Goodreads.
Max, Drummond, and the gang are once more in the thick of "witchy" things. Max just wants to forget the occult stuff and take regular cases, but his wife and Drummond convince him otherwise. It seems that a curse has been put on an old plantation house that is keeping the family from leaving it. As Max and Sandra dig deeper they find that things are not what they seem, they are much, much worse. I liked this story. Max has become a little more cautious of things that go bump in the night. He comes to the realization that someone has to do it. Since he is already cursed he is never going to get away from it any way. Max and Drummond still worry about Sandra learning witchcraft, even though it does come in handy. I can't wait to see what comes their way next.
now i am hooked. This was such a great, easy and creative book. i was hooked after the first page.
The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow, along with the story. the author made the mental visions so easy and vivid of the surroundings and the characters actions felt so real.
i would highly recommend this author and this book.
Once again we are taken on a journey to Stuart's world. I love how the characters continue to evolve and struggle with life's choices. I didn't want to put it down until I was done. Thanks for another great story, Stuart.
