WTF?!?!?! Talk about another cliffhanger!!! Continuation of the triangle between Bones, Reggie and Winter. We also meet X. Hmmm...who is this X??? Very dark and mysterious...Dying to read the 4th installment.

The tangled web that is Reginald Bones just twisted deeper, spiraling into another realm of psychological and sexual thriller. A true master story teller, Lucian Bane brought this third installment in the series to a whole new level. Adding the dimension of a third personality, determined to bring Bones down with the truth and unlock the secrets of his past.
Winter and Bones have a deep hatred for one another. Their guilt and pain over Reggie drives them to a dark place that doesn't seem either will ever get past. Yet with the entrance of X, Winter finds this deep need to protect and love Bones in a way she didn't think was possible. Bones, seems to see that their is more to Winter, and he feels things for her that he has never felt about another woman. Each character equally, tormented and tortured, reaches their breaking point, only to realize they only have each other to trust and lean on.
One of my fastest reads ever, the words fly from the pages and etch into your mind. So many eloquent, tense, erotic and gut churning moments make up this incredible story. The very end will leave you stunned, breathless and beyond words!!

Reginald Bones 3 by Lucian Bane
Another mind-bending installment from Lucian Bane in the Reginald Bones series. The series has continued to intrigue me with the complexity of all the characters. To this point we know of 3 personalities Bones, Reginald and X (Executioner) that live in one body. It has been interesting to read that each personality seems to be independent of the others down to physical traits such as reading glasses and have a photographic memory. Then there is Winter who seems to keep the personalities in some semblance of order. Her need to help them all has proven to be a challenge and will continue to be.
We have watched Bones change as the books have progressed he has seemed to morph into a person who can love and is starting to live. Reginald has been missing for a while now but the two personalities (Bones and Reginald) seen to have merged together and are no longer individuals. The loving traits that Reginald had along with doing the shopping and caring for someone else has been seen in Bones during this installment. This has allowed him a chance at a normal life.
Winter has played an important role in twisted tale of mind ***cking we have been reading. She has fallen in love with Bones and is willing to die for him. The interaction between Winter and Bones has taken on more of a couple in love who is willing to walk through fire for each other. Now add the twist of X and Z. We have not met Z yet but this individual seems to have answers Bones is looking for and has left this reader with more questions than answers.
As with the other books in this series Lucian leaves us shaking our heads and screaming for more. There is so many ways this story can go. Will we learn what is in California? Will Bones’ and Winter be able to beat X? What role does Z play? How safe is this budding love between Bones and Winter? Will they be able to survive the answers they are seeking? Will Bones be able to handle what they find or will this further break him? Will they finally get their HEA?
I don’t want to give away the twist we learn at the end of this installment but will we see Reginald again? See so many unanswered questions. I have to say I was really unhappy with the ending for this book only because it left me wanting MORE NOW!!!!!!!!
If you are looking for a mind-bending book with complex characters that will keep you guessing this is psychological thriller will keep you guessing. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE SERIES!!

This one is better than books 1 and 2, mainly bc I like Bones best of all his personalities. Even when he was a total ass, I liked him. Cuz he was a cute ass (who likes it in the ass) :P
But 1 star off for some of the melodrama (there's already plenty, no need to keep adding!) See my notes below.

Beautifully written mind#uckery
There is no limits to Lucian Bane' s evil genius. He has written a twisting and heart wrenching but beautifully crafted tale.
This third installment of Bones and Winters story will bring you to tears and have you gasping in horror and wonder.
The mind bending crazy will drive you round the bend yourself. My poor kindle went from steamy hot,t hen tears falling on it to me wanting to throw it. You should invest in a good case for it before reading this.

LUCIAN!!!!! Your killing me ! What a roller coaster ride this book takes you on! I loved it! Your sex scenes are through the roof as usual.... just fucking hot!!!!! Please get to writing Mr. Bane, I'm so ready for the 4th book already!!!!!! Ahhh Bones... loving this guy!!!!

There has never been a series like Reginald Bones.....
Lucian Bane has produced yet another phenomenally intrinsic and mindblowing installment to his Reginald Bones Series. Be prepared for some unbelieveable mind****ery in the way that only Lucian can deliver it. Seriously, there is nothing like this series out there, he has approached the borders of all genres, but with this one he just runs through them, like they don't even exist. He plays with his reader's minds just as he plays with the 26 letters of the alphabet to create books that go beyond your imagination. I have read all of Lucian's books, in fact I have devoured every single word, and this one is he best by a long way.
Lucian engages the reader completely through his writing, by bringing out so many emotions: rage, jealousy, fear, hate, forgiveness, lust, determination and understanding. Through the magic of his words his reader is given the opportunity to experience everything that his characters are experiencing. Yes, my kindle got thrown multiple times onto my bed, chair and sofa. Yes I had to reach for my tissues, as the tears were flowing uncontrolably. Yes, I laughed so hard that my sides were aching due to various antics Lucian decided the characters should be doing. This is the effect a Lucian Bane novel can have on you.
This book concentrates on the relationship between Bones and Winter, among other things. They are both in dark places due to the disappearance of Reggie and are unsure of how to exactly handle their situation. They hate each other with a depth that is beyond measure, but there is also something that is drawing them together. Can they find their way out of the dark and acknowledge that they need each other? The emergence of X, at the end of book 2, has completely changed the status quo of everything. He holds secrets that Bones definitely needs the answers to. Will X help or hinder Bones and Winter in their search for the truth? Who is the mysterious Z? (See Lucian is playing with the alphabet)
Even though this is a dark book, with ominous overtones, Lucian is still able to sprinkle some very lighthearted scenes throughout it. The shopping trip to the mall, the foosball game, Truth or Dare and the skating trip, all had Bones and Winter displaying their softer and funnier sides. The skating trip was superb. To see Bones, who is always in control, struggling in a pair of rollerskates and declaring them "broken", just made my day.
It is through the mixture of foreboding darkness, wit, humour and sarcasm that Lucian tells his tale of Bones and his struggles without Reggie by his side. He has even managed to throw in a few SHOUTY CAPS to make this journey complete. His words are magical and spellbinding - something that I have come to expect from reading a Bane novel.
The biggest surprise that Lucian gives his readers is the fact that Reginald Bones 3 IS NOT THE FINAL BOOK in the series. WOW!!!! That one certainly came out of left field. YES!!! He left us with another CLIFFHANGER!!!! What a cliffhanger it was too - definitely not expecting that one!!!! Never ever underestimate the way in which Lucian's genius mind works. The twist and turns he has thrown during the writing of this story have been neverending. The questions he has raised have left me chomping at the bit for his next installment.
Once again Mr Bane a thoroughly magical book that has left me totally exhausted upon completion. When I finished reading it, I described it and it's author as being indescribable - I only hope that I have done it justice.

I'm stunned! I honestly never would have guess what would happen to Bones and Winter. Bones and Winter run throught the gamut of emotions. I thought for once I wasn't going to cry...Pfft...I was wrong. There were tears but there was also laughter. We were able to see Bones' vulnerable side. I must warn you...cliffhanger!! Did not see that coming, but that's why I enjoy reading Mr. Bane's books. You never know where it will take you. You have to hold on and enjoy the ride ;) Can't wait for the next one!!

Once again, Lucian has taken me on a roller coaster ride. Going up and up and up, then free falling down into the abyss that is Bones and Winter. Not sure if abyss is the right word, but it's deep, dark, ongoing. A free falling of many emotions that's more than just simple words that describe this book and how I felt. Sadness, happy, angry, just seem too blah for what this book represents. It's more!! More than I can comprehend. It pretty much left me speechless. I feel like I need a week to figure out how to give this book the justice it deserves, but even then, it would be impossible to do. That's how much Lucian's book affected me. I'm in awe of his talent. I've read all of his books and I think by now I'd get an understanding of his writing. Of where the books are heading when I start to read. NOPE!! He suprises me EVERY.DAMN.TIME!! And Reginald Bones 3 is no exception. Completely thrown for a loop at the end, let me tell ya. Ohhhh was I piiiiiised with another cliffy!! Of course Lucian is known for a cliffy, but this one took the whole damn cake. Not a piece, THE WHOLE DAMN THING!! THANKS LUCIAN!!

Once you've read 30+ books from an author, you would like to think that you have a handle on how they write, right? I did. That's why I had a lovely little theory as to how Reginald Bones 3 was going to go. However, this is Lucian Bane that I'm dealing with so my theory? It was booted but good and is now living on a moon orbiting Neptune.
Bones and Winter have turned a corner, a big one, X is mucking up the works, a mysterious X has made an appearance and Reggie is still MIA. Or is he? Confused? Don't be. Lucian has laid out a truly fascinating and absorbing addition to this series. This author knows how to take you into his world and makes sure that you live in it with his strong and creative writing.
In this installment his characters' emotions are taking center stage as they plumb the depths of their emotions, their secrets are revealed and feelings grow. There are heartbreaking revelations brought to light that will make you gasp, evocatively erotic encounters that will make you squirm and moments of levity that will make you laugh out loud. And, of course, an ending you will not see coming.
This is shaping up to be Mr. Bane's best work to date. Take a bow, Lucian. You've earned it.

This was another great addition to this series. Can't do a full blowen review because there's so much that has went on in the other book they're doing to in-depth could we won the other ones. I really like the fact that we meet and get to know new characters, get to see different sides to some of our favorite characters and there's more of a mystery standpoint in this book. Overall. It was awesome and I'm going to go crazy waiting on the next book! 5 stars #2OCCJD

An intense Must Read
Wow once again Lucian has left me speechless!!! He will mind f@#k you like nobody else can. You can feel how much time and devotion he but into this book because as read it the emotions jump off the page leaving you emotionally spent. I have never read a series as so put together as this. Each book surpasses then next.

This emotional roller coaster of a story continues just as strong as the first book. You will laugh, cry and scream as you read this magnificently written book. The only thing I dislike is reading the last word and wanting more.

Undulating Emotions … oh Bonesy how you squeeze and twist my heart
And right away it starts with snarky snipes and banter back and forth between Winter and Bones…what a way to start this third in the series. I think this is the best part of a Lucian Bane book; he writes a little dark, a little twisted, and there’s always humor that comes out of nowhere that takes you off guard and leaves you chuckling, and anxious to turn the page for more surprises, and there will always be more surprises.
The heat has definitely been turned up a couple notches in this installment – I thought my iPad would spontaneously combust before I got to the end of the scene between Winter and X….bring on the X-Games.
Speaking of turning up the heat…I left a comment in my book Bones 2 review, and it’s never sat well with me like an unfinished thought. I said in my book 2 review that if the steamy scenes were too much for one’s sensibilities you could skip over them. That was by no means a ding on the author’s writing, in fact, it’s quite the opposite. What I meant is that the author’s writing and storytelling is so strong, if the sexy scenes were not in the book, it wouldn’t matter in the least! Let’s face it, Mr. Bane, is a writer of erotica, and that’s why many pick up his books, but in truth he doesn’t need it to “fill” the book…soooo, that means it’s a win-win for all.
Reggie might be gone (for now?), but he left a trail behind…and Bones picked up the crumbs – whatever is yet to come, I see the merging of Reggie and Bones. Is it just me? I dunno…but there were signs of Reggie in Bones’ behavior. It must be those crumbs he picked up. Bones went from harsh, and not exactly likeable in Book 1 and now in Book 3 he’s someone very different, someone you care about, someone you feel for, someone you root for – Go Bonesy!
I can’t really say much more about the story or I’d give away things that are best left to be found by the reader. I highly recommend this series each book gets better and better…! Lucian Bane the man, the writer the mind bender. Once again he puts out a story with so many layers to it as you read, you feel like you’re the one being slowly revealed.
As you read the third book in this amazing series you will get a better look at Winter and Bones. Reginald is their if only in the actions of Bones. Winter shows strength that is unimaginable as she seems to not only stay but acts almost as a calming agent for Bones. I said almost.
Each next page has you tied up in emotions, you don’t want to read more but you cant help yourself when you thumb the next page. Its like watching a scary movie between your open fingers.
I think that Bones 3 hit every imaginable emotion known to man. How many times will you curse, dab your eyes or fan your face? Such talent with words and Bones, and Winters personalities gain more meat, more of themselves. I’d thought at first that yes Winter loves Reginald, but what of Bones is it love?
Bones is just wow, then concept that Lucian penned and then brought to life as Bones, was mind blowing. Reggie isn’t seem much, all but disappeared, but you get introduced to X good bad or indifferent? Is he there to make it better or totally take it to another jacked up level? Not only Bones wanted answers, so did we now we both have more questions.
Lucian brings it only as Lucian can. This isn’t a standalone make sure to read the books prior to this, so well worth it!

A Cure-all for Your Reading Slump….
So the past several months I have been totally burned out on reading… I took a little break… like almost 4 months kind of break…. So when one of your favorite authors releases a book, you buy it, right? I did, but I had to let the series sit. I was not in any kind of head space to read it or read anything really.
Let me tell you this: You hear of bloggers and readers and even other authors stating that a writer should get better with every book they write? This is true of Lucian Bane. I have been reading him since his first series release, Dom Wars. Every. Single. Book. Gets. BETTER. Than the last.
His most recent series, Reginal Bones (1-3)… well, I had no idea how I would feel about it. How I would feel about Bones… I knew I immediately loved Reginald…. But Bones, he was an acquired taste… the more I read him, the more I DEVOURED him. Love Bonsey.
Winter… she’s quite the character. Lucian Bane has managed to wrap all of a woman’s insecurities into one character and then MAKE HER BLOSSOM!! Winter Rose Brown is NOT a dull woman. I love her character, her strength and beautiful weakness.
So if you have read Lucian Bane before and put his work down… PICK IT BACK UP!! If you have never read Lucian Bane before…. THIS IS THE SERIES YOU WANT!! This series will blow you away. It was nice to see Bones' continual transformation...then - here comes X. Holy shit. And Winter? I'm still on the fence with her, seeing as her previous regard for her dead brother Sebastian is ZERO. I guess hot sex with a hot psycho tends to strip a woman of her guilt.
So...after wading through the sex - which of course took up most of the book, it being dark erotica and all - I was stumped by the ending, which I saw coming on two levels:
1. I was spot-on with my suspicions about Reginald, and
2. being at the 99% mark of the book, I knew that I was left at another damn cliff-hanger!
I HATE cliffhangers. But as I've invested my time with this hot, bat shit psycho, I'm in it for the long run. So - I'm waiting for the fourth - and hopefully the LAST book of Reginald Bones.
And with that - Lucian Bane should be hog-tied and thrashed. But only after he gets this fourth book out, dammit!

Unlock and open the doors in his mind that have been sealed shut. Along the way they discover a new piece to this puzzle, a new character. Who is he, what does he want from Bones? He seems to have all the answers, but he'll make them work for those answers. Thanks to these clues, they found out one shocking and unexpected truth.
I can't wait to see where Lucian takes this story. Bring on book 4!

I Just Don't Know How Much More I Can Take!!!
Again...I am left breathless...and with chewed off fingernails! Just when I can't imagine this story could get any wilder...BOOM! The characters turn, the emotions flair up...and nothing remains undone!
I'm so caught up in the characters... sometime wishing myself to be Winter...sometimes not...most time to be with Bones...but sometime not...for fear of X showing up...keeping me on my toes..but terrified of meeting Z...and they are all so dam HOT!!!! See the dilemma? Welcome to the mind of Reginald Bones...and Lucian Bane.
I'll just go crawl in my corner, and suck on my thumbs...until my heart goes back to a normal pace...and see if I can keep one eye open for MORE!

Bones is trying to come to terms with missing Reginald and wanting him back as well as hating Winter but wanting her body more then anything. Winter is trying to understand Bones and wanting to help him find peace within himself, but it's not as easy as she thinks especially with the new discovery of X, he's dark, twisted and he wants Winter for himself. Winter is conflicted, she loves Bones but he hates her, she hates X but can't help but love the way he touches her, especially when he looks just like Bones. X is giving her clues to help Bones but in return he wants her body and promise of information about Bones and Reginald. Then a whole lotta WOW and OMG ensues!
Ooooh Mr Bane you have done it again! Once more my world has been turned upside down by your words and I wouldn't have it any other way. There were so many times I've tried to figure out where you were headed in certain parts of the story and you always caught me off guard and surprised me, which really shouldn't have been a surprise lol This story was sexy, thrilling and pulled at the heartstrings so much I'm a mess. Seeing a different side of Bones was beautiful and I fell in love with him even more. Seeing Winter become stronger, stand her ground and fight for what she believed in was also a beautiful thing. Thank you for bringing Reginald Bones into my world I can't wait to see what's next!

Lucian takes us on another ride which only he can operate and guide us along for the journey. He keeps feeding us tidbits of the mystery known as Bones. Little by little the complicated layers which make up Bones are peeled off to give us another mystery of his personality. We thought that Winter and Bones were going to be enemies but in truth he loves her but can't accept it. We learn of his other personality X and how evil he is. But let's face it we all have a little evil in us which we try and surpress. Bones just subconsciously let him have free roam because X comes when he is sleeping. Poor Winter, she doesn't know which one she 's going to find but deep down she loves them all. But she still wants to find her Reggie. X is the Dom the naughty one, looks like Bones is starting to give her the love she wants and needs. Now how does Z come into this and what other secrets does he have? Bane hurry with 4!!!!!

OH NO HE DIDN'T.. Pure wickedness at work! Love. Love this story!
I had to constantly remember to breathe... this book/story has you on the brink of madness.. It takes you down a road not knowing where you are going but you are determined to get there. It will overwhelm you, it will tug at your heart, it will evoke so many different emotions and that is why I had to remember to breathe. When you think you know and you thought you've figured it out.. then, when the unthinkable happens and you're finding yourself cursing the author (that's right literally cursing) for his brilliant well maneuvered script .. And just knowing how masterful he is at teasing and leaving you craving more. Yep, a true wordsmith right there! So just let the words flow, let them take you to a place of the unknown, a place where you might just find yourself in utter shock because you did not see that coming! This story transcended anything that I've read.. without a doubt. And the hotness in this book.. let's just say, you can feel these characters burn, it's raw.. passionate.. all consuming hot! Yep, that's all I have to say on that ☺️.

Bane does it again! He has me completely invested in these characters. Winter is my Shero! It takes a strong woman to love a man through his issues and an even stronger one to take on a man who has 3 distinctly different personalities. Winters love is exactly what they need and she delivers it willingly. This is is just small part of this beautiful written installment. It's a must read you can't put down!

I absolutely love all of Lucian's books but, I must say, this series has captivated me from jump. These characters jump from this book and come to life more and more with each page. I felt every single emotion. I cried, laughed (a lot) fell in love, dance on a truck, and roller skated lol. Lucian Bane is a brilliant author that pulls you in so tightly you can't let go until it's done. AGAIN MR. BANE YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!
I love that Bones and Winter admit how they feel about each other and their commitment to each other will see them through anything, "The Shit Rainers" Then X wants to destroy everything with his manipulating devious ways. Tormenting poor Winter.

As with all of Mr. Bane's books, the third installment in this saga is fast-paced and chock full of twists and turns. We get to know the third personality, X, and he makes Bones look like a pussy cat. X is twisted, sadistic, cruel, and has an agenda neither Winter nor Bones are aware of, but they know it is not good. Bones falls in love with Winter and Winter adores him. Be warned - there's a HUGE surprise at the end of the book and I'm anxiously awaiting book four.

Ahhhh WTF with that ending....Lucian Bane's writing is purely evil and I just can't get enough!!!!! With this entire series I have tried to read slowly as I have not wanted it to end, yet I could not get to the end fast enough. I just continued to want more and more. He has such a way of completely sucking you into the story. I can't express how many emotions I have gone through reading this series. It made me feel like I was on an eternal loop, kind of like I was in a constant haze. I have cried so many times for so many different reasons, and could not be happier because of it!!! What a fucking fantastic ride and I can not be happier that it is not over yet!!!!!

OMG, I love Bones, (sorry just have to get it out there), Lucian writes characters that just make you fall in love with them and Bones is no exception, i wasn't to sure about him at first, but he definitely grew on me, This series is getting better and better, I didn't think Lucian could top book 2, but he has.
You just never know what's coming next, you think you have it all figured out and then BAM he throws you completely. The only thing that is certain with Lucian's books is he Captivates you, you just can't put it down, he makes you laugh, cry, want to throw your kindle, makes you happy and sad.
This story line will have you hooked, and the sex, well it's HOT HOT HOT. I really feel for Winter, she has had a real shi@y life so far, and now she has fallen in love with a man with split personality. And then there is X to deal with, we met him at the end of book 2, He want to come out to play but Winter is afraid of him and what he could do, she tells Bones in the daylight hours and as you can imagine he's not to pleased. Bones wants to find out what happened to him in the past and Winter agrees to help him find out, enter Z !!!!
