Cowboys & Angels #2

Love Profound

Rate this book
I write about love, but I’ve never experienced it. Sure, I’ve been with guys that I cared about. Even thought I found ‘the one’. He turned out to be the frog and not the prince.

A few Frank Sinatra songs and a wildly handsome cowboy who calls me Darlin’, will have me second guessing everything I ever thought I knew about love.

Does happily ever after really exist…or is it only something I write about in books?

Love Profound is book two in the Cowboys and Angels series.

For me this was 'yeah, ok'. I hadn't read Book 1 and I know the author recommends reading these in order, but I didn't feel like I struggled to follow the story.

However I did struggle to really care for the heroine, she just felt very immature and a little crass at times. I just didn't connect with her as the heroine, which reduced my enjoyment of the book. Thankfully the hero was much more likeable and he felt more believable. He was just so sweet, kind and sexy!

Some of the earlier sex scenes, between Amelia and Liam, left me cold. They didn't enhance the story in any way and felt like an unnecessary addition. If I'm honest I would rather this subplot have been left out of the story entirely.

The story was well written, easy to read and flowed smoothly. I definitely thought it improved further into the book and I did really enjoy the family interactions. They are the type of family that you would love to be a part of and you could really feel their love for each other.

This book has left me sitting on the fence over whether to continue with the series or not. Whilst this hasn't left a huge impression on me, I do really like some of the 'brother' and 'sister' characters and would love to see them find love.

Amelia is just awesome. I love her personality. She has such spunk. She's the youngest daughter in the Parker family. She lives with her family on their ranch. This book sucked me right in as soon as I read that Meli was an author. Seriously a book about an author. I didn't think it could get any better. I was wrong.

Wade, a good friend of her brother Trevor, comes to work on the ranch. I just want this guy to be mine. A cowboy, that sings like Clint Black and can dance ~heart is melting here~

I love when a book pulls me in that has me feeling that the book is taking place around me. Like I'm right there watching it unfold. I could actually invision Wade and Amelia dancing. It was awesome!

This book had sizzling hot sex, romance, ups and downs of relationships and humor. There was periods in this book that I had to stop reading because my eyes were too blurry to see. I was laughing so hard I was crying.

Aunt Vi is great. The stuff that comes out of her mouth is so funny. I love her take on life. Niece Chloe absolutely steals the show. What a darling that adds even more humor.

Love Profound is book 2 in the Cowboys and Angels Series. It is easily a stand a lone. In fact, I have not read book 1 and had no problem following along and thoroughly enjoying this book. I am definitely not missing the rest of the series.

"I wrote about love, but it seemed I was destined to never find it."

I really think I am completely invested in this family by now. I mean, I was after Lost Love and wanted to continue on, but after reading this book, I need to see the series through. I am really enjoying this Parker family! It's not some angsty, stomach-clenching, nail-biting read. It is an easy, giggle-worthy, smile inducing, heart-eye-making read. And each book brings us deeper into the Parker family, while we get to see each person's insecurities, their issues, their fears. I love the relationship this entire family has with each other. They are so funny, but caring. So protective, but genuine. I really like their dynamic as a family.

This one, we followed Amelia (Meli) Parker and her zest for life, but also we got to learn of her very structured walls around her heart. She was such a mixed character for me. And by mixed, I mean that at some points she was really forward, confidently so. Almost like that was her defense mechanism; to be outwardly confident and sexy, but when the intimate and sexy times hit, she was almost a bit awkward. I felt it very much. Was it intentional? I surely hope so because that's how she came off but it made her relatable. That would explain her awkward outbursts while they were getting close. Her journey to find her love was just as lively as she is. Meeting her in book one, she is the youngest and the most protected of the group, but it was fun to see her shock everyone in this story!

There isn't a lot I can say because it will give away some of the plot, but I was a little worried when it first started out. This one was written a tad bit differently than the first book, and I seriously got whiplash on the POV changes. Not in a bad way, but you'll see. When we went to NY with her....I didn't care for the characters that surrounded 'him'. I was worried it was going to be unnecessary drama to cloud Amelia's HEA. I know I hate unnecessary drama, or drama for drama's sake, and I make no secret of that. I felt like that bit was going to turn me off from the story, but it didn't. It played itself out quite comfortably. That aside, just know that this reads as a back country, down home, easy going read. The proper thoughts of Texas mixed with the lively actions of the residents. I liken this series to good ol' southern cooking vs New York style, high priced, two piece, decorated plate meals. It's just comfort food.....soul food. Not heavy. Not angsty. Not deep. Just a seriously easy read that you can get comfy by the fire and just read with a glass of wine. It's definitely an easy read.

--> And the next story? Tempting Love is going to Mitchell and Corina's book!!! Gimme, gimme!!! Talk about a broody man finally getting his woman! I am so excited. I have been looking forward to his story since Lost Love when we met them! I really enjoy how the undercurrent of the other characters' stories are embedded in the subsequent books. I love how they play into, roll into, each other.

"Sometimes....we have to walk down the darkest path before we can see the light through the trees."

Lost Love had a lot of great scenes featuring Amelia so when I found out the second Cowboys & Angels book focused on her I was beyond excited! I couldn't wait to not only read from her perspective but also see her find love.

Amelia has always been the rebellious youngest child. She says what she wants; she does what she wants; and she never takes no for an answer. She's a spitfire to say the least, and I loved that about her. I admired her strength as well as her independence. Better yet, her antics always had me in stitches. I especially enjoyed the fact that she's a famous romance author. It was fun to see her dealing with author things (i.e. audiobook recordings, buying swag, etc.) as well as finding inspiration for her books in her own romantic life.

Wade, the love interest, is the ultimate Texas gentleman. He's sweet, trusting, and personable. He'll do anything for just about anyone. Plus he's an amazing singer and great with children. Seriously, where's the real life Wades?! However, while Wade seems to have the perfect life on the surface, he's suffered from his fair share of heartbreak. He lost his parents as well as his two younger sisters in a deadly car accident. What truly struck a cord with me about Wade, though, was how unwilling he was to let this define him as a person. Yes, it was horrible, and yes, he'll never truly get over it, but he also didn't let it stop him from living his life the fullest.

As soon as Wade was first mentioned in passing, I could tell he was going to be the one for Amelia, and when they finally did meet in person, the chemistry was incredibly present. I loved their banter, and I loved that they always caught each other in the most awkward positions (the scene involving Amelia and Wade in the kitchen was hilarious yet so incredibly cringe worthy!). I also liked how they inspired one another to be better and to take more risks.

The one aspect I didn't like about Love Profound, however, was Amelia's New York fling in the beginning. I didn't really understand the point of it, and honestly, the time that was dedicated to it was really not that necessary. I don't think it added much to the overall story, and also it was crazy how Amelia was so willing to be in a serious relationship with a guy she barely spent one week with.

Overall, Love Profound is yet another wonderful addition to the Cowboys & Angels series!

Loving this Series !

The more I read this author the more I like her writing. This is the the second installment and I really enjoyed Amelia's story as I loved her in the first book.

I really enjoy stories like these where the main characters have a slew of over protective brothers who are always in their little sisters business and love life threating any man who even tries to approach her as they alway threaten to pound the heck out of who is even brave enough to attempt seduction. It makes for some really funny interactions when Amelia stands up to them and gives them shit right back.Amelia is a bit of a spitfire so you can just imagine how frustrating and funny these situations are.For all their protectiveness and bullying you can see just how close all these siblings are and how much they love one another.I really love that.

The more a read about this family of brothers and sisters is that they all have their own demon's and own insecurities but when they fall they fall hard and Amelia was no different.

I loved Amelia as she was funny quirky a spitfire, speaks her mind, is someone sexy and beautiful at yet doesn't flaunt it or really even own it .She is just a girl comfortable in her own skin and in touch with her needs and wants when It comes to her own sexual needs.

Wade omg! , what a heartthrob I have to say I fell head over heels for him myself just for the kindness and sweetness her showed Steeds and Paxton's daughter Chloe and how they were friends.Favorite and one of those ah moments is when Wade gives Chloe flowers when picking Amelia up for a date so her feeling weren't hurt saying it was best friends day so she wouldn't feel left out.My heart swooned right then and there.I found Wade to be compassionate and kind and caring and just a super sweet fun loving cowboy with a really big heart.

This was a real cute and fun quick read for us.I loved the characters especially Amelia's brothers and her sister Waylynn they were fun and engaging to read about.I loved the chemistry that Wade and Amelia had between them it was hot as hell as they gave off sparks when they were in the same room together. The sex scenes were sweet and sexy and hot.

We have to give a shout out to Aunt V what a pisser she was.You had to laugh out loud every time she opened her mouth. She was really a funny lady and the things she spoke about were just outrageous and funny.
(Grinning)

And we loved Waylynn to as there is more than meets they eye with her.She lost herself for a bit but she's finding the self she buried and I can't wait to see the trouble she stirs up once she is back in full force.Looking forward to her story down the line.

I loved how Amelia wrote about love and romance yet never really experienced it herself and yet after meeting Wade and falling in love she will definitely have some racy new and sexy material finding it's way into her new books as she is now experiencing some of the things she only wrote about.I loved that Amelia was a risk taker and that bathroom scene with Liam proved just that.
(grins)

What a light fun romance read that we really enjoyed reading cover to cover and we can't wait to read the next book in its series.

Amelia can finally say she definitely got to ride a cowboy and it was amazing and life changing and she loved it !

Recommended read to all!

Love Profound by Kelly Elliott is a deeply profound beautiful romance that had all the makings to make readers fall in love with love. Boy oh boy, did my heart go pitter patter as Elliott will have you in a puddle of mush as this book was filled with every element of raw emotions, sweetness and Southern charm. I will not say much because this book truly surprised me as it swept me away with Elliott’s visceral prose as she kept readers entertained with her character’s charismatic personalities. With little drama thrown into the mix and playful banter, readers will be left smiling. A must read for any contemporary romance fans!!

~ 5 Giraffe Stars ~

Well I will say it again….Kelly Elliott knows her stuff about Swoony Cowboys and heart throbbing romance stories.

Her books are always a fun, sweet, and sexy read. I always know that when I pick up one of her books I will be swept away with the characters lives and the stories she gives us. Love Profound was no different. I was lost in Amelia and Wade’s story right from the beginning and I had a hard time putting it down.

I do have to make a small correction from my review of Lost Love (Book 1)…I originally thought this series was going to be a collection of standalone novels. And I can say that yes each book will focus on a new couple and they have their own storyline, but when it comes to the secondary characters, that storyline carries over into the next book. So my recommendation is to read the series in order. I believe reading this series out of order could spoil other storylines of previous books.

As I said before I am so glad Kelly has gone back to her cowboy roots. I absolutely love her family saga books. The Heroes are swoontastic and the heroines are sassy and can stand up for themselves. Wade and Amelia are no different. I want to find a Wade for myself. I also felt like I could be best friends with Amelia.

Love Profound is the second book in her Cowboys and Angels series. It is told in Dual POV and you could say it is a complete story. But I am sure we will see more of Wade and Amelia in future books. Amelia is the youngest Parker sibling. She is a romance author and has been hurt in the past so she believes that HEA’s only happen in her books. Wade is the new ranch hand that her brother Trevor hires. Wade has also been hurt in the past and was on a downward spiral when Trevor found him and brought him with him to work. Can these two broken should find their way to each other?? Will they be able to drop their walls long enough to find a HEA?? Read this amazing love story to find out!!!!

Again…I’ll say this is Kelly Elliott at her finest!!! I think the Parker family has won my heart.

This is another book/series I would 100% recommend to all readers. Don’t miss meeting the Parker’s and the ones who steal their hearts!!!

I'm officially OBSESSED with this series!!! Love Profound was just as good, if not better, than Lost Love.

I already knew what the book was about, but I still had to pause a couple of times to read the blurb again while reading. I had to make sure I was reading the right book!!! I wasn't sure where Kelly was going with the story at first. Which I LOVED.

I REALLY liked that Amelia was a romance author. It was ONE of the reasons why I was looking forward to her story. I got a kick out of her researching for her books!!! Swoon was a word passed around between Amelia and Wade. Wade was DEFINITELY swoonworthy. Whenever Wade was around Chloe my heart melted!!!

I felt like the end cut off a little. I kept turning the page hoping there was more. Luckily I'll see those two again in the other Cowboys and Angels books.

I SO can't wait for Mitchell and Corina's book next!!!

You know sometimes when you read a book and you think you know how it is going? You know who is going to be with who? What is going to happen next? Well you think you know...then BAM you are sooo wrong and then you are pleasantly surprised!!! Yess I really love when that happens!!! And Yess this will happen to you while reading this book!!! It is such a fun, HAWT, twists and turns kind of read and I loved it!!!

Ummm...I will be vague in my review. So here goes just a bit of info..lol This book is about Amelia. She is a Romance Author and she is having a bit of writers block. Love Profound is about her getting her grove back. I do have to say that I really do love reading books about Authors...I always think they are fun and always HAWT because the ones I have read in the past, they have fun inner dialogue in them that make me LOL.

I gave Love Profound 5 iScream Cones!!! Now onto book 3-Tempting Love. Just loving this series!!!

I loved Amelia's brothers they gave her man lots of heck, "My eyes scanned across all five Parker brothers. Each of them staring, waiting for me to eff up. “Wonderful. I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy.” They all smiled." Amelia's family tends to overshare, “my mother just told me my father was a young stallion who could still get it up without Viagra.” I loved this book, I loved Amelia and her family.

This second installment of Kelly Elliott's Cowboys and Angels has me throughly invested in the Parker Family and after reading Love Profound I cannot wait to see what she has for us next! I enjoy her writing it has plenty of laughable moments, sibling banter, and plenty of friends to help add in more drama.

In Love Profound, this book focuses on the baby of the family, Amelia (Meli), who happens to be a romance author.

"If my baby sister is talking dirty to you, you best put a stop to that sh*t right now."

Unfortunately for Amelia, she was seriously burned in the past and has built a fortress around her heart.

"I wrote about love, but it seemed I was destined to never find it."

I loved seeing older sister Waylynn and Amelia's sisterly love and friendship. Kelly really shines in this part of the story with Amelia being there to help her sister during a major low point in her life.

description

The POV of in the story is very interesting with being three voices instead of just two. I don't want to give anything away, but I enjoyed the change of pace! Amelia's cowboy is something else with his singing!

"I'm realizing that you hold the power to destroy my heart and that scares the daylights out of me."

description

Love Profound was a good, quick read and I really LOVED the part about Amelia's BFF and her UPS guy! The Parker family is very unique and I am looking forward to Book 3 in the Cowboys & Angels Series.

[2 stars] book seems better than the 1st book however i find liam's pov to be redundant since he is not the hero nor is he written in major part of the story. i think the author just want to mess up readers perception as to who is the actual hero.

Everyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, etc., deserves love – a kind of love where they can feel secure, cared for, and important, but sometimes, the choices people make force their hopes and dreams when it comes to their personal happily ever after to go askew, choosing a partner(s) who doesn’t cherish or protect them because they are too busy looking out for themselves.

For Amelia Parker, a successful romance writer whose books exude passionate and all-in love, has stopped looking for her perfect mate because all of her choices, one in particular, have twisted her view on love and relationships. So, even though her writing doesn’t suffer from her distorted view of love and commitment, personally, she doesn’t know how to manage her past pain with her present and hopeful future.

Until a certain cowboy proves her wrong and shows her exactly what love in the most profound sense should be.

There are no better heroes than Kelly Elliott’s cowboys because despite their ‘alphaness,’ there’s also a gentleman underneath who knows how to treat people the right way and when it’s the woman who owns his heart, there’s no better man alive who can demonstrate through words and actions just how much his other half owns him, body and soul.

Amelia and Wade’s story is as romantic as it is steamy, and that combination makes for one heck of a fine read. Because the entire Parker family is showcased in the Cowboys & Angels series, Elliott allows readers to be an adopted member and as Amelia and Wade’s romantic relationship takes off, readers are a part of every sensual and loving act and they also witness the Parker men putting Wade through his paces when it comes to their baby sister.

Kelly Elliott is a gifted writer because she effortlessly builds a setting and characters who spellbound readers because the world she creates is a pivotal part of her stories and the characters she constructs are truly multifaceted and easy to understand and connect with because Elliott illustrates exactly who they are and why they make the choices they do.

Bring on the next Parker!

***3.5 Stars***

I've been thinking back and forth all day on this book and how to rate it. I absolutely adored the first one in the series, Lost Love, and I was so excited for this book. And in certain aspects it didn't disappoint—Kelly's writing is as always on point and beautiful. She breathed life into these characters and their story.

Love Profound is Amelia's story—the romance author and youngest of the Parker children—and her happily ever after. Amelia is my kind of girl, strong, self-confident, and not afraid to go after what she wants. She knows exactly who she is and what she wants, which is some casual fun until she meets the one. The moment they meet, you can feel the chemistry between the two.
I did love these two characters and the fact that once they gave into their attraction and love, they went for it and nothing else mattered. Both characters are very well-established and made me fall in love with them on page one. I loved all the characters in this story, especially the other Parker siblings a lot, and this is an amazing series I will continue to read for sure.

Unfortunately, this particular storyline just wasn't for me. Maybe it was because I had such high expectations or expected a certain type of story. And I got the complete opposite. I expected angst, which there was very little of; I expected some conflict which there was none. While I loved both main characters as well as the side characters, I just never connected with the story line, which left me confused at times.
I don't understand the purpose of the first 30%, it wasn't needed to drive the story or the character arc in my opinion.

However, this does NOT mean this book was bad, to the contrary, this book was still great when it comes to the writing and the characters. Sadly, the storyline, for me, lacked a great deal to give it a better rating.

I am still looking forward to the next installment of the series! I do love these Parker siblings!

Kelly Elliott has done it again with another brilliant book in this Cowboys and Angels series! I was completely hooked from beginning to end.

I love this Parker family and after meeting Amelia I was looking forward to reading her story. She's the baby of the family and whoever falls for her has to be prepared to take on the wrath of her brothers! Amelia has got her heart looked up tight after it being broken and she only writes about love not really believing in it for heself.

Can I just say that Wade is totally panty-dropping, swoon-worthy! soon as you meet him and he is dancing with the hilarious and adorable Chloe your heart instantly beats faster and you want him for yourself! <3<3<3

He is so beautifully vulnerable after the loss of his family that it was so beautiful watching him come back to life with Amelia and the Parker clan around him. His relationship with her brothers, especially Trevor is great, well when they aren't being traumatised or beating him up over his relationship with their sister.

I have to say this book had it all, I literally cried with Wade's pain, I cried again with laughter almost peeing my pants with some of the funny bits in this book (Chloe and Patches are comedy gold) and I totally swooned over the beautiful romance and pure love these two had for each other with their immediate connection.

I cannot wait to see what Kelly does next with this series. I am seriously glad Mitchell's book is next as I want to see him get his head out of his ass and finally get the girl. I am then torn on who I want next but I have to admit I think Cord's book will be the wildest ride with the way he is with the ladies so I am quite excited for his book.

5.0 Star Review Love Profound (Cowboys & Angels #2) by Kelly Elliott

Love Profound was one of those books I did not want to put down; I loved it from start to finish.
This was a great addition to the Cowboys & Angels series by Kelly Elliott and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

This is Amelia, the baby sister of the Parker family and Wade’s story and oh what a story it is. Amelia tends to have a good time and not look for romance or a relationship, having been hurt in the past; she prefers to get her romance through the books she writes.

Wade is simply swoon worthy and what a marvellous character Kelly Elliott has written, almost too good to be true (yes I know that he is a fictional character). He is vulnerable having survived the tragic death of his family and in Amelia, he finds the woman who brings him back to life.

I loved the banter between Wade and Amelia and the relationship that Wade has with her brothers, particularly Trevor; their scenes together made for some snort worthy moments throughout the book.

I fell in love with all the characters in this book, and although Chloe was a secondary character in Love Profound, she nearly stole the show again, particularly with her pet goat Patches by her side.

I wanted to take this book slowly to savour the story and yet I found myself riveted to the book and kept on reading, just one more chapter.

Congratulations Ms.Elliott you have another winner on your hands.

Love Profound is book two in the Cowboys & Angels series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but you will want to read every book in this series. I love the Parker family!
Love Profound is Amelia and Wade’s story. Amelia is the baby of the Parker family, but she can hold her own with all her brothers. Amelia is feisty and very independent. She writes romance, but does not actually believe in love after getting her heart broken. And Wade was oh so swoon worthy. He was the full package of sweetness and the perfect gentleman. He had his own heart break, but was willing to take the chance with Amelia. Now he had to convince Amelia that this was worth the effort. And not have her brothers kill him in the process.
The chemistry between Amelia and Wade was instant and hot. They both try to keep their distance at first for many reasons, but they could not fight it. I loved how sweet they were together and how they did not rush anything. They let their relationship start at friendship and grow organically into a sweet, hot relationship. I also loved how there was no drama getting in their way and how it just felt like a very grown up relationship.
I cannot wait for the rest of this series. I love how Kelly Elliott brings in the secondary characters into this series and makes you just want more of the Parkers. This is series that you should read. It has all the feels and family love that makes you want to read more.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kelly Elliott brings us another Parker sibling romance in Love Profound.

Amelia Parker writes about love, but she’s never experienced it. To her it is an elusive fairytale. When her oldest brother’s best friend shows up to help at the ranch, she begins to think that maybe she just hadn’t met her prince yet.

A tragedy has left Wade vulnerable, and reluctant to love again. But working with the Parkers, he becomes a part of the family. With Amelia though he finds himself craving more than a friendly connection.

Amelia is the youngest Parker and a little spitfire. I love her personality, her career choice and how she tries to fight her love for Wade. She’s not the only one fighting it though, Wade is just as resistant. And can I just say he is the perfect man. I mean seriously, he doesn’t have any flaws. Where can I find me a Wade?

I love Amelia and Wade and their love story, but the Parker family is what makes this series, yes, I know this is only the second book, just read it and you’ll understand. Plus, Chloe steals the show again!! She may be my absolute favorite character. I look forward to seeing what she does next.

I am in love with Ms. Elliott’s writing and the Parkers. Cowboys & Angels is a series you don’t want to miss. And Love Profound is a perfect example of why Elliott is a bestselling author. FIVE stars.

Amelia has given up on love for herself since her first real boyfriend was a douche. She may write about happily ever and everlasting love for her characters, but she doesn't think it's going to happen to her.

While visiting her sister Waylynn in New York she meets Liam. A hot Australian with that amazing voice and amazing body that seems to be taken with her as she is with him BUT is it more than just sex with them?

When she gets home and sees her brother Trevor's best friend Wade, she is stunned. Now that is one hot cowboy! She can tell by looking at his eyes that he has felt deep pain. The attraction between these two is instantaneous and oh so hot! Plus he sings, dances and just woos her.

With her brothers watching every move that he takes with their baby sister he never stumbles with his pursuit of her. He's like the ultimate bbf. Which is ironic since Amelia is a romance writer.

I love these two together, they help each other with what they're going through. Absolutely loved Chloe again in this book (hope she gets one when she's older. Would love to see how all of her uncles handle it lol) Oh my, how I loved Aunt Vi!!! She literally had me laughing out loud with some of her comments.

Oh did I mention how hot this book was? I'm sure if you've read this author before, you already know that's the kind of books she writes but it's also filled with so much love!!!! Cannot wait to read the next book!

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Ms. Elliott has made me fall in love with the Parker family. I can't get enough of this series!

Love Profound is Amelia's story. Amelia is the baby sister in the Parker clan. She's a romance writer who just doesn't believe love will ever happen to her. Can she find love when she leasts expects it?

Wade just sold his family's farm after his family was killed. He loves being on a farm but being on his families was just too hard. When Trevor asks him to come work for them he jumps at the chance. He loves being included in a family again. When he sees Amelia for the first time he's taken back by her beauty but doesn't want to mess up his friendship with Trevor.

I adore Chloe. She is a hilarious little girl. Love Profound has you on a roller coaster of emotions. There were tears when I was hit with the plot twist and laughs pretty much with every conversation with those sexy Parker brothers. Amelia and Wade are fun and so sexy when they are together! I couldn't get enough of them.

I can not wait for Mitchell's story.

You can never go wrong with a Kelly Elliott book in my opinion. They are always filled with some of the best stories and the sexiest men. But nobody does sexy cowboys like this lady does. After devouring Lost Love, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book and it was everything.

Love Profound follows the story of Amelia Parker, the youngest Parker daughter and she's amazing. Amelia lives in a big family, a family that she loves, but that doesn't stop her from feeling on the outside sometimes. She is no where near moving out of her parents house, or finding inspiration for her latest books, and she is definitely no where near finding love. At the moment it feels like all she has is April... YES the giraffe. Love, it's not something that she really believes in, it's something she only writes about in her books. Or so she thinks.

Throw in a sexy cowboy Wade and her thoughts are even more jumbled up. Wade is perfect but she sees a sadness in his eyes that she wants to fix. She hasn't felt this way about a man in a very long time or EVER for that fact. But Amelia doesn't think she can trust Wade with her heart or any man for that matter, when all they do is break it.

Wade is a cowboy through and through but he finds himself lost in Amelia. It doesn't matter that she's his best friends sister and she should be off limits...his heart doesn't understand that. He just has to get Amelia to open up to him and hopes that her brothers won't kill him for touching their little sister.

I loved this book. I had so much fun reading Amelia's and Wade's story. There will be tears, laughs, and lots of chocolate consumed while reading. I look forward to more books in this series and seeing all the siblings find love.

Love Profound is the 2nd book in the Cowboys & Angels series by Kelly Elliott. I loved the first book in the series and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this 2nd book. In this book we follow the story of Amelia who is the baby sister of Steed who we met in the first book. Amelia Parker is an author, she writes romance and prefers the romance in her books to real life as she’s been hurt in a previous relationship. We meet Wade, he’s a friend of Trevor Parker, Amelia’s brother, he’s had a really tough life with members of his family being killed in an accident, which he blames himself for. Trevor and Wade went to school together and Trevor offers him a job on the family farm. When Wade and Amelia meet sparks fly. Wade is a great character, he’s hot, he’s sexy, he’s vulnerable and he’s just so adorable. I loved how he was so sweet with Trevor’s niece Chloe – dancing with her was just adorable. And singing – wow what a voice this guy has. The banter between Amelia and Wade was amazing. This book had me hooked very quickly and I just couldn’t put it down. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to see what happens with other members of the Parker family. I also love the fact that characters we met in a previous book are back again.

There are books that you start reading and you just know will consume you, steal your breath, make your heart pound, cry big fat ugly tears, soothe your heart then make you cry all over again with sheer happiness. Well Ms Elliott you have done each and every one of those things to me with this book, I'm not sure what to do with myself.

The second instalment in the Cowboys and angels series and lord have mercy do they just keep getting better, The Parker family have stole a forever piece of my heart, I could honestly read about them all day. Amelia may be the baby of the family but that girl has sass and determination along with the finest. Wade is a character that right from the start you just need to Love. The story flows with effortless perfection, consuming you and everything around you stands still, nothing else matters, you don't even realise your sat holding your breath at times or how deep you have fallen into the story until the tears start to roll down you face.

A 5 star and keep on going stars.

I'm laughing now while writing this review because every single time I read a Kelly Elliott book, I end up saying the same thing over and over....that thing I say is, "I've got a new bbf again"!!!!!!! And Wade is no exception! That boy had one of the sweetest caring personalities....mixed with a hefty dose of spicy too!!!!! Amelia was a spit fire in every sense of the word. I loved her sassy attitude! Both she and Wade had their hearts broken and both were guarded, but you can't fight chemistry or what the heart wants!

Their whirlwind romance was everything I expected it to be with the Parker brothers interfering. I LOVE her brothers!!!! They love their baby sis and will give every amount of grief to anyone who shows an interest in her! But the truth is...they love Wade just as if he was one of their own!

Kelly absolutely nailed their love story! She shows the reader that sometimes taking a chance and learning to move forward can truly save a person!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, steam, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first
Lost Love (Cowboys & Angels #1)

This is Amelia and Wade’s story. Amelia has never been in love. That does not mean she has not been hurt. But she does not go out looking for a relationship or the one. She writes about love but writing and felling are two different things. Wade is broken but he can see the light that is inside of Amelia. He has lost so much but is Amelia the right woman for him? Can this man who get along with her family really be someone for her or is her writing making her misjudge him? Is she seeing love where they is love or just the makings of a new book? Will these two be able to be together or will past hurts keep them apart?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.
