I enjoyed this one even with all the errors. King was a great character to follow along with but I thought Free would be a bit more aggressive seeing how she came into the story. Over the time she seemed to get soft and it was almost like she wasn’t a good fit for everyone else around her. She needed to step up and it seemed like the little she did was just not enough to hold your attention. Hopefully in the next one she’ll get it together.
This was a really good book in my opinion. It kept my attention from beginning to end. I like how some aspects were different from other urban novels. What kept me from giving this book 5 stars were the errors. And when I say there were a lot of errors, there were a lot. It could have been distracting for a reader who was not invested in the story(and I was, so I pushed through rereading sentence after sentence.) If I'm going to read a cliffhanger this is how it's done: the book was long enough for excellent character development and long enough for me as a reader not to feel cheated . ***********Possible Spoiler*************** I understand Free is naive and inexperienced however there has to be some give and take some where she's not compromising in the bedroom or with his street life. Hope they can get it together on Part 2, patiently waiting.
I loved EVERYTHING about this book I felt like I was trapped inside it. Diego needs to get his act together Free is a really good woman she is Green to the game but she also balances him. Royal is crazy but also my kind of man. Lace needs to gone and give that man a baby. I had to give this book 4 stars due to all the errors hope part 2 is proofread better but I will be patiently waiting so please don't have me waiting to long.
This book was good. This book defiantly take you on a ride. I loved Deigo and Free relationship. I have to say that I love Lace and Royal relationship. It was few error in the book but I was still able to enjoy it.
A great storyline but a lot of errors. Free life is so boring. King is the man in the streets and with a spoiled sister he meets free. Mira is so spoiled its sickening but her brothers love her. Royal and king are taking over for their fathers. Royal is a piece of work and a little crazy. Free and king relationship move rather quickly. Now at war with his brother royal only trust king & shine. Free dad is a d.a. but works for king and has been keeping a secret from her. Now at war over a beef from their fathers past the guys are weeding out the snakes. Free best friend lace gets with royal and they are a dysfunctional abusive couple that will keep you laughing. No more spoilers can't wait for part 2 to see how is king a suspect in Sen murder? Is free ready to be rider for her man?
I really don’t know how to feel about this first book… Free is just to damn naive and green and Diego is just too full of ish… I am loving Royal though because he is funny and he’s real and Lace just better know what the hell she signing up for because this won’t be no cake walk if she trying to fall in love… I don’t feel the romance but the drama and the foolery is in full force I can’t wait for part two
Raleigh, NC! Loved the fact the story took place in my old stomping ground. I liked Royal and King's relationship. Those fools were hilarious and relatable. Wanted to give the book 4 stars, but the grammatical errors were too much. I'm looking forward to part 2 because the storyline is really good, but please make sure the editing is in point.
Well this chick free is a wholesome girl, her farther is the district attorney and she meets and falls in love with the biggest drug dealer in Virginia, she finds out that her father is not who she thought he was and her man can not keep his penis in his pants, now he is locked up and she needs her father's help, have to read part 2
Diego needed to learn how to separate King from Diego when him and Free is going through their problems. Royal needs to wise up. Lace needs to put him In check. I also hoped all the couples workout. Shine glad he pulled through
I really liked this book!I had a love/hate relationship with most of the characters in this book. You almost feel the emotions that are written, and there are plenty! Grammatical errors for sure, but doesn't take away from the content. Awaiting Part II!
Diego was insane in his love for Free. He was obsessed with her. It was really funny, heartwarming and sexy. Royal and Lace where off the chain. I would love to hear more about Shine and Meka and La, she would be fun to read about. Loved this book. Part two come on!
This is a very interesting book to read and keep you interested in it, where you wouldn't want to put it down. But to many errors on the publisher part you need to handle that because it's not Good at All!!!
Man oh man this is so exciting I can't put it down. First I have to say Free get a backbone and King stop being a man whore and realize what you have at home. Lace and Royal even though they argue a lot I like them as a couple. Well I am on to book 2, I can't wait.
I love a man that's like two different sides of a coin. Loving and caring turn the coin rough and tough. Her on the other hand needs to toughing up and become his ride or die chick.
This story had potential to be a 5 star read if it wasn't for the grammar errors and character mess ups. The errors started off small, but then they got really bad towards the end of the book. Not sure if I will be reading part 2&3.
KC Mills gives you all the meat and potatoes. They sends you back for seconds knowing you are full as hell. Your series never will bore me. I love all your work. On to book 2
Diego and Free. My favorite couple,,things moved fast for them but I'm loving the chemistry. Diego had better get his act together or love just won't be enough. Royal and Lace I love them too..Loving his storyline and I can't wait to see what happens
I liked the friendship between the main characters, Diego (King), Royal & Stanley (Shine) w/ lil' sis, Mira. Lace & Royal were a dysfunctional 💑 as ever and so was Free & 👑. This book needs a good editing, but I still enjoy reading urban fiction.
When is Diego gone get himself together...love him but I would have to leave his a**. I'm loving the whole crew, but I wonder what's gonna happen next with this Money situation.
K.C. Mills never disappoints! Diego and Free are that’s couple. I just need her not to be so naive though. I like her. I also like Royal and Lace. His dirt is bound to come out soon.
I had such high hopes. The book starts off well but by end I was over it. Women displayed low self esteem and weak. I hope there is growth in the next book. I like the storyline just wish there was more to the characters especially the women.
Long read but it was good. Can't wait to read part 2. Love me some Royal. Some parts I felt like was just skipped over. Maybe ill have answers in the next book.
