This series caught my eye because of the Lego factor. At first glance, it appeared that this would be like most early reader nonfiction book. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is more than information told in a simple way. The book contains information on dinosaurs of course, but also interesting facts, jokes, and Lego "Build it" challenges. This series teaches students plus encourages creativity. Wonderful!

Lots of detailed information about dinosaurs written at a level strikingly more complex than the typical "2" easy readers. The LEGO sense of humor is second to none for this age group, and the interactive "build it" blurb every few pages is a great bonus to keep kids hands-on while still enjoying the read.

Highly recommended to developing readers who love LEGO and/or who love dinosaurs. And really, who doesn't love both???
