Rate this book
The Old World died.

Everyone in Home knows this. And they are greeted with the reasons why every time they look to the great and powerful Homedome that keeps them safe from the Outside World.

They know this, because beyond their Homedome lays nothing but death and disease and a tortured, mutated landscape full of vegetation more nightmare than tree, more horror than flower. The Outside World is deadly dangerous to every Homelander, everywhere underneath the Homedome, and so everyone lives their lives as best they can, in Home.

And nowhere else.

Everyone in Home also knows they are the only humans left on the entire planet once known as 'Earth', and for one simple no one could live out there, in an atmosphere as poisonous as anything. And even if they could breathe out there, the water is liquid death, the plants and trees, warped and twisted and changed past all recognition.

No, everyone in Home knows they're alone. They know it, accept it, and move on with their lives, because the Old World died and the New World past their borders is beyond dangerous and the only thing they can do is slowly Expand Home, every few decades, all in the hopes that one day, the whole of the Earth was reclaimed, covered under Homedomes.

They believe they are the last Humans of Earth, a dying breed, because that's what they'd been told since the Old World had been ripped apart by the worst eco-terrorist attack in History. Since, in fact, the very moment the first Homedome went up, three hundred years ago.

But they are wrong. They are not alone. There are people out there, in the New World.

And one of them has come Home.

Follow along as Leader Johnathon Heron, Father Nils Merrick, Commander Beauchamp and others struggle to deal with the ramifications of a most unwanted discovery during the most celebrated of days in Home...
