I will start this review by being really honest: this story is totally out of my comfort zone and if it would not have been written by Carmen Falcone, I would never have considered reading it. This being said, Carmen hit another homerun with this novella. She has that magic touch that is taking me straight into her story and it is making me forget all about what is going on in my normal life. In my humble opinion, it is the single most important quality that we can look into a writer. I am also always excited when I am reading a book from Carmen because I know that I will have a good time. A word of warning, if you are unable to read a story that is pushing your limits and imagination in love scenes, you might want to skip this read.
Sometimes a story strikes some chords that are resonating with us more than we were realizing at first. Tiffany is overworked, she is having insomnia and she needs to find herself in a remote location. I am currently going through a challenging time in my life. I had to make a lot of decisions concerning my well being and also learning to let go with all that craziness that is surrounding me. I was seeing a lot of myself in Tiffany. In her doubts, her guilt, her unspoken desires. Carmen was able to develop a strong and relatable character in Tiffany. What I love the most is that Tiffany is not perfect, she doesn’t have a dream body as per societal norm, but she is herself and that’s what makes her desirable.
Santiago is a more challenging character to like at first. Once we got to know him, though, we can only have admiration and respect for his determination to not let the surrounding circumstances telling him what he could or could not do in his life. Under those walls, we find a golden heart and we also understand that he tried to control his emotions/desires all of his life. Which is opening the door for a question: How much of ourselves/our real desires are we sacrificing to live a life of what is expected from us instead of thriving?
The story is taking us in a situation that is still considered taboo: a step brother and a step sister that are desiring each other. That pushed my limits, which was kind of funny because I didn’t think that I was so prude or that this story would shock my values. It was a little uncomfortable at first, however, Carmen Falcone wrote this story is always with class and the hot love scenes were inspiring! In the end, this novella is also a good way to have us see what some our taboos might be and making us envision it in a totally another light. I totally recommend this great novella!

Tiffany Burrows is stressed out, has trouble sleeping, and her doctor told her she needs to relax, so she left New York City for a little R&R in Lake Louise. She’ll be all alone in a little ski chalet, but there’s a snow storm coming soon. Tiffany is making herself at home when she hears noises… What’s the worse that could happen? Santiago Cruz! The man she’s loved in secret for many years, but who was engaged to her friend Patricia. Patricia is dead, Tiffany blames herself for her friend’s death and so does Santiago.
At first, I was expecting FORBIDDEN STEPBROTHER to be light, sexy fluff. Boy, was I wrong! What an excellent story! I was intrigued from the first paragraph, and read it all in one sitting! Tiffany and Santiago have secrets, and it’s poisoning their lives. I will not say any more of the plot, but there were twists and turns I never expected, and for a novella, the characters fully fleshed out. The story is fast-paced but very intricately constructed; the characters are fabulous and very complex. I loved Tiffany, she’s a very normal person, it was easy to relate to her and while she’s very upbeat, her conscience troubled her, and it was easy to understand why; Tiffany has a generous heart. And I just loved reading her thought process: what she thinks and what she says is just brilliant!
I loved how Santiago and Tiffany came together – pun intended – and how they got reacquainted again, talking about old times. The romance is scorching hot, and it was great how the sex lead them to finally communicate and open up. There were also cute little scenes with Louise the cat, and such lovely turns of phrases at times, very poetic; Ms. Falcone’s writing gets better all the time.
FORBIDDEN STEPBROTHER is super sexy, intelligent and witty, with the perfect touch of angst, sinfully awesome! I love Carmen Falcone and slowly but surely, she’s on her way to being crowned the queen of the sexy novella!

This was my favorite one of them all in the series so far!! We have a step brother who loves his step sister in a cabin during a snow storm. Santiago and Tiffany are hot, hot, hot they have no problem heating up that cabin when the electricity goes out. These two have hidden their love for each other due to circumstances that they couldn't control but when they're faced with being alone together they realize their love for each other. What girl doesn't like a good spanking!! Tiffany sure did.

Forbidden Stepbrother is the third novella in the "Forbidden" series, written by Carmen Falcone, and it once again shows how Ms. Falcone is able to write steamy, emotional novellas with relatable characters all within a framework of what some may consider "taboo" situations. Tiffany Burrows is stressed out, unable to sleep and needs a break from work, so she jumps at the opportunity to spend a weekend relaxing at the family cottage in Lake Louise. Any hopes of relaxation are ruined when she arrives to find that her sexy stepbrother, Santiago Cruz, is already staying at the cottage and a severe winter storm has arrived, making it impossible for either of them to leave. This is a potentially disastrous situation, as both Tiffany and Santiago are still dealing with issues of guilt and anger surrounding a car accident in which Tiffany was driving and that killed Santiago's pregnant fiancée and resulted in Santiago's lower left leg being amputated. Tiffany and Santiago are also dealing with the secret fantasies and desires they have had about each other for many years and so this storm has provided a great opportunity for them to resolve all of their issues and to finally turn all of those fantasies into reality.
Out of all of Ms. Falcone's novellas, I was most hesitant to read Forbidden Stepbrother because I have never really enjoyed other stepbrother-type romances. However, I should have known that Ms. Falcone would change my mind by showing how this type of romance should be written. Tiffany is a wonderful, real character who is funny and honest and decides to take a chance and be vulnerable and open with Santiago about her feelings for him. Santiago is just as real with his struggle to be as vulnerable as Tiffany while still opening up about his own feelings. Ms. Falcone provides a solid background and storyline for her characters which is not always easy to do in a novella. The sexual tension between Tiffany and Santiago is present from their first scene together to their last and nothing is left unsaid, untouched, untasted...you get where I'm going with this, right? Yeah, it was that hot!
From the funny one-liners to more emotional moments and seriously hot sexy times, Forbidden Stepbrother is a great read that doesn't disappoint. Ms. Falcone is definitely on a roll and this "Forbidden" is an easy recommendation.

Santiago and Tiffany became step-siblings when their parents married each other when she was sixteen and he was twenty-one. From the beginning, he had desired her, but because of her age and the fact that she was now his step-sister, he invested in a relationship with her friend, Patricia, to avoid the temptation. Tiffany had gone for a drive with Patricia when they lost control of the car and hit a tree, killing Patricia and her unborn child. Santiago tried to get to the girls and pull them out, but the car rolled and pinned him, which caused him to lose half of his left leg as well and he avoided Tiffany as much as he could over the next three or four years.
Tiffany finds herself under a lot of stress with her job and her stepmother offers her the family cottage on Lake Louise in Canada. When she gets there, she finds out that Santiago is also there, unbeknownst to his mother, in order to work with a renowned ski instructor that works with amputees. He decides that he will leave and go somewhere else, but his pilot explains that the plane is grounded due to a blizzard that is hitting the area.
The sparks keep flying between the two, especially when Tiffany offers to let him spank her for all the trouble that she has caused him. The spanking of course leads them to reveal their passion for each other, with Santiago admitting that he had been in love with Tiffany when Patricia died. Good story, short and sweet.

This is my first book by Ms. Falcone that I've read, and I'm thankful to have been give an opportunity to review this novella for the author. As such, I have no prior expectations about what to expect from the author's writing style.
I'll provide a brief summary about the story. The two main characters are stepsiblings who have hidden their attraction for each other, and their tense relationship did not improve when a past event left them estranged. Due to certain circumstances, the two ended up being stranded at the family vacation cottage during a snow storm. It is this close proximity that brings a confrontation, resulting a change in their relationship.
I enjoyed reading this story. I liked both characters, both as a couple and as individuals. They were individuals with distinctive personalities. Given that this is an erotic romance, the steamy scenes were HOT enough to leave me wanting more such scenes from the couple. My only complaint is that the story is just too short. I could definitely see this story being extended to add more steamy scenes, which I wouldn't mind at all.
This story won't be the only one that I'll be reading from Ms. Falcone. I enjoyed the author's writing style and look forward to reading more of her Forbidden series.

Forbidden Step brother is a quick steamy read about Tiffany and Santiago who were step siblings. They have each hidden their attraction for each other because of a tragedy in their past. Neither knowing how the other felt they avoided each other and hadn't seen each other in years. Tiffany made arrangements with her Stepmother to go relax at the family vacation cottage and Santiago made arrangements with his Stepfather to spend time at the cottage. Neither knowing the other would be there. I loved the sexual tension that Tiffany and Santiago had when ever they were around each other. When they finally got together the first time it was explosive. Will Santiago and Tiffany leave the cottage after their night of passion or will they finally tell each other how they truly feel?
This novella is a spicy hot read and I found myself reading nonstop. This is a well written story about the beauty of letting go of pain and letting someone in. This is a definite must read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

First of all, I ADORE this cover. The colors are very pleasing to my eye and so is the shirtless hunk gracing the cover! Yum!

These two have a history together; the type of history filled with resentment, temptation, and desire. Santiago decides to leave before they both do something they will regret, but because of the weather, he's at a standstill.
Tiffany and Santiago are two very passionate characters and it shows through the pages. Their relationship isn't simple, but then again, I wouldn't want it to be. Carmen Falcone kept my eyes eager and my cheeks flushed with excitement as I devoured Forbidden Stepbrother. I’ll be honest, I was leery going into the story. I’ve read more than a few of the stepbrother romances and I’ve never really enjoyed them. Carmen Falcone has done the unthinkable…she made me LOVE this stepbrother romance! A wonderfully sexy and steamy forbidden romance read. These two step siblings, Santiago and Tiffany, have always had a strong pull to one another. Years ago Santiago left to avoid acting on his desires. Now he finds himself stranded due to a snowstorm in a secluded cottage. Forced to confront their past mistakes and lingering passion these two come together in a powerful romance that touched my heart. The author did a fantastic job with the story considering how short the story is. If your looking for a quick steamy read with a great story at the core this is it! I highly recommend it.

I am a big fan of Carmen Falcone books, so when I heard about Forbidden Step - Brother I immediately wanted to read this it as soon as I could and I loved it !
In this book we Follow Santiago and Tiffany and they have a complicated relationship already in the beginning of this story they are not necessarily very warm and fuzzy towards each other, they dont have the best history with each other and then on top of that they are step siblings .I know a lot of people would hear the word step siblings and think how is this going to work ,however Carmen Falcone is such a fantastic writer , she always has me invested in her character and she made me root for Santiago and Tiffany ! This story is not long at all its was very quick read , but Carmen Falcone some how creates the sexy hot romance , the angst ,and the perfect ending in less than a 100 pages ,Iam convinced Carmen has magic in her fingers. I Forbidden Step -Brother was such sexy addicting story and I cannot wait to get my hands on what Carmen Falcone writes next . If you love all these things in your books I suggest you get a copy of this books when it comes April 3 2017.

First off, this is not your regular "stepbrother" story. It has a solid, makes sense background story; one filled with regrets, loss, lies, and always remembered desire of what you think you shouldn't want. They haven't seen each other for quite some time and when fate walks in and throws them together it doesn't go well. Their guilt makes them angry at each other, and all their bottled up hidden feelings are hard to live with. Yep that's what I said, live with; they are stuck in the same house while a severe snow storm has both of them unable to leave. They arrange to stay on different floors, and do their best to stay apart. But long buried feelings can no longer be hidden and slowly their guilt and truths come out. Well written story, you can feel the overwhelming guilt and desire of the characters. I recommend this story to all who love hot contemporary romance. Get it, Read it, Review it, see how their truths will set them free.

Santiago was once engaged to her best friend. A secret that led to a tragedy has kept these two apart. But a snowy cabin and an intense passion for one another enables them to deal with their past and at the same time address the secret that caused so much pain. Tiffany and Santiago took us on an emotional journey as they dealt with the moment in time that forever changed their lives. This was a quick read that I enjoyed. I enjoyed this story. It is a quick and STEAMY read!! Lots of miscommunicating going on between the H and h with deep hurts from years before. But, hope and redemption come full circle and win in the end! Great HEA!!

I have tried to come up another opening line besides I loved it. - you should buy it. It took a while so here you go. I hate to give spoilers.
Many times the stepbrother romance stories can be portrayed in poor taste but this is not the case with Forbidden Stepbrother. Both characters are older and have a clear understanding of what they feel and want. Carmen did a fantastic job! The two characters are perfect for this troupe.
This is by far my favorite of the Forbidden series I have read so far. I highly recommend this book especially if you are looking for a hot, realistic steamy romance in a novella format.

This story had a different spin than the previous books in the series. Step-siblings who harbored secret feelings toward each other for years and then became mortal enemies found their way back to each other. Secrets they kept from the other finally surfaced and they were able to put them to rest. The mourning of lost loved ones and lost time also ended as the secrets were revealed, lies were exposed, and forgiveness was extended to those who deserved it.
All in all, it was a decent book of love and redemption, and it merited a four-star rating. I didn't give it five stars only because it had too many loose ends that were left unfinished and too many unanswered questions that had no resolution. Otherwise, it would have been a great novella. As it stands, it was just okay, with the potential to be better if the author ever decided to do a revamping of the story.

It is a quick and STEAMY read! There is a lot of miscommunication, angst, secrets, and forbidden desires between the two characters. Carmen Falcone takes us on emotional journey as both Tiffany and Santiago have a “dirty” secret and each carries emotional baggage. While snowbound, they deal with their past, their secrets and confessions. Another sexy, super-hot, short story by Carmen Falcone. I am enjoying the Forbidden series.

What was once a forbidden love is now possible if Tiffany and Santiago can get over the past. Stuck together in a snow storm gives them that chance. This is one hot read. It might be cold outside, but keep a fan handy inside. There's even a happy ever after in it for you. I received this as a free copy and voluntarily choose to leave my review.

Forbidden Stepbrother by Carmen Falcone......Another fantastic sexy short story by the amazing Carmen Falcone. I am enjoying this series of forbiddens. I loved both Santiago and Tiffany it was great watching their story be told. This book had all the feels with lots of kinky sexy time. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I liked this book. They are both hurting and can be healed by each other. So many people internalize their feelings and won't say what is wrong. I love that this book has the hidden pain, the doubt, the hurt, and the desire, but it also has the admittance of their feelings and their secrets at the end.
I enjoyed this book and I believe that you will too.

I received this as an arc and am volunteering my honest review. When I get an arc I never know if I'm going to like it but with this story of Tiffany and Santiago I really enjoyed it. These step siblings are old enough to be making the decisions they have. This is not just a very hot read but both characters have baggage and secrets coming in. Can they come to terms with their feelings and reveal all their secrets ? I highly recommend this book.

When Tiffany Burrows is prescribed some R and R by her doctor, where better to go than the family cabin in Lake Louise. There no better way to relax than some alone time in a cabin with a snow strom brewing outside. However the way Tiffany life seems to be going nothing is ever that easy. Who should happen to crash her relaxing vacation none other than Santiago Cruz! Her stepbrother, a man she's been secretly in love with for years, and also happen to have once been engaged to her best friend Patricia, who Tiffany blames herself for killing. So much for that relaxing time to help her de-stress. Santiago has his own secrets and he fair from prefect.
It all may seem like a not so relaxing vacation stick in a cabin during a snow storm, but am more than sure they can find a couple of ways to keep warm> if you know what i mean.
This was a story that was fast paced and had very well developed characters, that well leave you falling in love with them. In my opinion Carmen has done it again, with another amazing story that will leave you not only fanning your self but saying wow as well. She knows how to keep her fans happy and coming back for more!

Tiffany had always had a thing for her older stepbrother, Santiago. Santiago felt the same for Tiffany; but she was younger and his stepsister. Years later the two were stranded in a cottage, in a blizzard . Would the thaw remain or a warming trend occur?
Enjoyed this erotic romance novella. Good writing style, characters and plenty of hot love scenes! 3 1/2 stars.

Another quick, hot and sexy read by Carmen. After years of fighting an attraction to one another being stick in a snow storm leads Tiffany and Santiago to opening up and sharing their feelings and much more. As with the other books I'm this series this book sizzles.
