Part III covers the years 2000–2013, when Ballen achieved global recognition and his work began to veer away from portraiture altogether. Finally, in Part IV, Ballen reflects on his career. A brilliant overview of a brilliant man's brilliant work. As a superfan, I was sure I knew everything there was to know about Roger Ballen's work, but I was wrong - written in his own words, seeing his work anew, from his perspective, I now know his work even more intimately.

This intimacy will grow for many years to come, as I revisit his work, as I take the elevator down into myself; to that windowless place of the sub- & unconscious.
