I have no idea how I missed this adorable, little short story. 😑 If you have been reading my reviews for a long time, you do know that I’m a big fan of Kian Rohodesomega auction chronicles series. I love them because they are such light, fluffy and smexy reads. You can read one book within an hour or two and it always helps me pick up from a book slump or whenever I’m getting tired of heavy reads. I’ve been curious of the story of Vlad and Jackal since I have read a solstice eve to remember and flawlessly imperfect. It’s nice to see how these two got their HEA. And I never am a big fan of man being giants and try to be cute but Vlad really is an exception. 😁 He’s just sooooo adorable. 😍❤️😘 And Jackal is such a gentleman too. I wish I could have read their first time epic love making though. 😭 I guess Kian got a bit stingy with her smut on this one. Still, really loved it. 💝

This short story was super cute!

Vlad, the big and flamboyant turkey shifter (who in his heart identifies as a dragon), is easily one of the most delightful characters in the entire Omega Auction universe. When he was briefly introduced in A Solstice Eve to Remember as Uncle Sneezy’s accidental mail-order-bride, he provided a lot of levity and joy to the story, and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen to his character once Clint’s were-pack took him in.

This story runs parallel to the events in Flawlessly Imperfect and shows how Vlad meets wolf shifter Jackal, who has been sent by Rafe to help Vlad with his immigration problems. The two share an immediate attraction and dance shyly around each other in what might be the cutest courting ritual of the series to date.

This was all hearts and rainbows, full of humour and romance, with zero of the angst some of the other couples endured.

My only complaint is that I wish it was longer and we had the chance to follow Vlad and Jackal's relationship progress more thoroughly after they initially got together. I'm greedy like that.

Overall, this was a favourite in the series for me, simply because it put a smile on my face.

When turkey met wolf

Oh this one is truly delightful. The short story of when Vlad the turkey shifter met Jackal the wolf is a really sweet and funny romance with a bit of hot flirting.

Really wish it had been longer. Though I liked the dual POV, it would have been nice to get a bit more courtship out of it.

This was a short quick read that I liked and I was so glad that Ms. Rhodes wrote it. This book should be read after Flawlessly Imperfect (The Omega Auction) book 5 Vlad and Jackal's story. Vlad who is a turkey shifter he was abandon by his parents and he grew up with dragon shifter's and he identified as a dragon. When the dragon prince rejects him he comes home with Trevor and Clint turns out it was illegal so they have to help him so Rafe puts Jackal on it. This was a good read I liked Vlad right away in the previous book he was very funny and he found himself very attracted to Jackal. Vlad is very colorful and wears skirts. Jackal and Barry find the answers that they need Vlad agrees to marry Jackal and when he wakes up after having a drink he doesn't remember it. This book was well written like the other books in this series and it had me wishing it was longer. I love reading this series and I can't wait until the next book is released.

What would happen if a turkey shifter met the perfect wolf? This is a cute little addition to the collection. This squarely plants these two into the character map of this series. Rhodes gives us a flamboyant shifter - something I’ve never seen before but alas, doesn’t capitalizes on it with in-depth storytelling. For example I’m craving a full look at these characters.

Sweet short between Vlad the turkey and Jackal, whom we met in a previous book. Jackal helps Vlad with Visa paperwork so he can stay in the country. They hit it off, and decide to marry. It will help Vlad stay in the country, plus they generally like each other, so this gives them more time to figure things out. Unconventional, but I think everything will work out for them.

My only strike against this is that there's only one sex scene, and were not shown much. We know it's going to happen, but we're told about it afterwards.

A perfect match is never what you expect.

A shifter who was raised by much different shifters associated with their family upbringing, but when he was to be sent to run an animal farm 3,000 miles away, he rebelled.

Trying to marry into a royal family did not work. So now he is trying to avoid being deported home. He gets assistance from a wolf shifter that helps control the borders and emigration and tourists.

Great little addition

Great addition to the Omega Chronicles. Short, fast, sweet read! Must read the other books first! But definitely recommend this one as a happy addition!

For fans of the Omega Auction, this is bliss. I've adored Vlad since he was introduced. Watching him get his happily-ever-after made me smile. I liked getting to know Jackal more. He really is a wonderful hero.

Simple but decent short story in the series

Like the entire series, this short is relatively simple but enticingly fun for fans of the Omega Auction/Rescue stories. This brief entry serves as an escapist break for those who like sweet and slightly silly but fun Omegaverse diversion (but without any explicit heat). This story is intertwined with several others, so isn’t a great standalone (but is more of a treat for those who have read and enjoyed the other books).

In a nice twist, this A/B/O Omegaverse story appears to be about two betas - a wolf and a turkey shifter. I always like to see some emphasis and/or exploration of beta characters in settings usually dominated by Alpha/Omega pairings and interactions.

How cute! This is a very short and so sweet story filling in the details of Vlad and Jackal's whirlwind romance. Vlad is just adorable and Jackal came to life as a gorgeous, mischievous, chivalrous man. You definitely need to have read the other books because this just fills in--no repeating anything like the vetting in or the cancelled dragon engagement. There were plenty of humorous moments, including the names of the shifter dating apps! There's no sex on screen at all but plenty of suggested heat. As shifters from two different species with neither being an Alpha or an Omega there is no mpreg forthcoming, but that was fine. I'm glad the author gave us this little tidbit!

Our Cupcake meets his Pumpkin

SO. FRICKIN. ADORABLE.

I love the omega auction series that Rhodes has been writing. However, most of the couples end up together in darker situations; kidnapping, rape, abuse. The stories are great but not often light. So this little read was a hilarious delight!

Ever since Vlad and Jackal paired up I've been curious how it came about. This little romantic comedy was the absolute perfect story! They actually had a meet cute, and damn if it didn't make me giggle and squeal about Pumpkin and Cupcake! Light, comedic, and oh so adorable this is a must-read for fans of the Omega Auction series!

This was an epic journey with 17 books in the Omega Auction Chronicles (plus 4 shorts) and they are intertwined with the Omega Rescue and Blood Valley Investigations). They are definitely best read in order and worth it - very sexy, entertaining and fun.

I still have the Omega Destiny, International series to get through and looking forward to it.

Short HOT M/M paranormal romance with no explicit scenes

Enjoyed this quick little story. I wish there had been more explicit scenes, but nice break from my job.
Recommended for those who don't want in-your-face M/M action. LOVE the cover!!!!!

Cute short story

Interspecies m/m romance with a wolf and a gentle turkey. Both characters were introduced in previous books but found each other in this one and appear briefly in subsequent books. It is a charming little addition to a wonderful series.

FANTASTIC SHORT

Vlad is a fantastic character that needed to find his perfect match. Jackal was the perfect Beta for him. He embraced all the things that we love the most about this incredible, unique, beloved shifter. This is a very short, short story but I enjoyed it. I read this instead of gossip ragazines, in the doctor office waiting room. This was much better reading. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES SHORT STORY NUGGET!!!

I loved it!

It was so awesome to read Vlad and Jackle's story on how they got together. Like the blurb warns though, you have to read Flawlessly Imperfect for it to make sense.
