BAAHUBALI: BATTLE OF THE BOLD is a prequel story to BAAHUBALI: THE BEGINNING created by Graphic India with the visionary S.S. Rajamouli. It tells the story of a much younger Prince Baahubali and Bhallaladeva, as they work together to defend the honor of Mahishmati from a sinister band of warriors
Being a Bahubali fan, I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this book. It is colourful and the graphics are amazing. I finished reading it in 15 minutes but it was entertaining! I give it 4 stars because of two points: (1) It is very nicely, colourfully illustrated and (2) I am too much of a fan to give it a lesser rating! :) However, the backdrop given of the love story between Devsena and Bahubali isn't very convincing. It seems not to coincide with the events of the subsequent film. All in all, all Bahubali fans will surely enjoy this! :)
Spent the best 15 minutes of this weekend reading the Baahubali Graphic Novel titled Baahubali: Battle of the Bold #1 on the Graphic POP application. Loved the context it provided for the Devasena-Amarendra Baahubali love story.
Also, SS Rajamouli likes to portray his protagonists as characters who are compassionate animal lovers. After Magadheera, we see this trait in Baahubali Senior as well.
Did not quite enjoy the killing of the blood wolves bit though. And of course experienced some pain on noting a few grammatical errors in the text.
All in all, a wholesome, entertaining and colourful piece of fiction this turned out to be.
Being someone who enjoyed Baahubali: The Beginning, I was a bit curious when I came across it having never read an Indian comic book. But surprisingly it was much better than my expectations, so that I felt the need of adding it in Goodreads and be the first reviewer.
So I would recommend this for those who love the film series, Baahubali.
PS: This comic book is made freely available in Google play.
10 minute read but what fun. Nicely done artwork and they do somewhat resemble the characters played in the film. Hoping it doesn't turn into a dampner. Would have liked more of a story. Really waiting to see how the rivalry shapes up between the two brothers.
So, I finally gave in and read it. My obsession with this saga ought to be reined in and slapped across the face. I'm not saying that I'm being really stupid about it. I'm just trying to imbibe the extended world of the two movies and getting half-disappointed every time.
About this comic, I liked the storyline. It was adventurous, it stuck every character to its own essence (thank God for Mr Rajamouli being on the storyboard). But, it failed me in some aspects. Like when . That was a bad decision. It ruined the magic of the scene when (the following is a spoiler for the Conclusion movie) . Otherwise, the story was good and enjoyable.
The graphics are brilliant! Although the princes do not resemble Prabhas and Rana exactly, I loved the rendition. The other characters were drawn more closer to their respective cast than those two.
what's wrong. do i not like comics, or these two comics that i read were actually shits. bloody hell. I need to read some fine comics soon, to recover from this.
