As Tea for Two gears up for Valentine’s Day, Elaine and Jan hear some shouts behind the tearoom. They look out the window to frozen Chickadee Lake to observe what appear to be inebriated men leaving their ice-fishing shanty. But when the cousins learn that one of the members of their community has gone missing, they’re almost certain it’s one of the fishermen they saw. Were they witnesses to a crime? As the cousins delve into the man’s disappearance, they learn that this incident could be more complex than they imagined. Meanwhile, a new regular at the tearoom seems intent on disrupting the neighborhood in search for some old coins. Why does she care so much? And could this charming and seemingly innocent woman be involved in the crime on the lake?

While I personally found this book’s mystery to be more interesting than others in the series, I still struggled with keeping track of everyone and how they’re all connected. It was all very clean, but I wasn’t a big fan of the reveal which affected my rating. Not sure why, but this series hasn’t been my favorite.
It's almost Valentine's Day and Tea for Two is preparing for their special event. One night, Elaine and Jan hear what sounds like a shout coming from Chickadee Lake. Thinking nothing of it, they leave it alone, until they hear a local has gone missing. Could the commotion they heard be related?
I love the different mysteries in this series. It's always fun to see it unfold as Jan & Elaine figure out the clues and put their heads together.
This is the 7th book in this series. It was equal to the previous books in the series. A mystery or two. Good friends. Some more clues to the BIG mystery of the ring found in the first book. On to Book 8 Tea is for Treasure...
Ice fishing shanties! I can't imagine sitting in a small building and fishing thru the Ice, but someone has SCUBA dive equipment in theirs. Not only are they diving under the ice but it looks like they are diving alone. What can be that important? Elaine and Jan can't wait to find out.
This mystery was the kidnapping of the son that belonged to the Wattlings that owned the bait shop in town. The cousins were the witnesses by accident to the kidnapping when it was done on the ice over on the lake behind their house and business. The romance side of the book was how the cousins were going to celebrate Valentine's Day at their tearoom business and their own dates for Valentine's Day. The mystery that on the Saphire ring got more leads to keep the series going also. I am enjoying each book when they come in the mail and so far to me all the books are a five-star rating.
