LOVE this book, because it has the phonetic pronunciation right under the word! So my French skills are astronomically better when I use this book! Do they have the same thing for adults? That would be awesome. This is one page per picture. Maybe Rick Steves has one for France like he does for Italy.
J'aime les illustrations, mais sans le "le" ou le "la," je ne sais pas si les noms sont masculins ou féminins. Et le genre des objets est ce que les Américains trouvent le plus difficile.
I like the illustrations, but without the "le" or the "la," I don't know if the nouns are masculine or feminine. And the gender of objects is what Americans find most difficult.
I like this book because it's French; I can't speak French, and you can see that because my review is English, not Spanish or... other accents. Just English. And a little bit of French, like I can say ballon, plage, and of course lolo.
From Bonjour! to Au Revoir we loved this introduction to French. For kids who are curious about languages or love to travel, this is perfect. The book has a simple format, bold illustrations and a fun selection of words shared in English and French. FIRST WORDS FRENCH is so much fun to page through and learn basic French words. A huge hit in our house.
I thought this book is really useful for beginners because it has very vibrant pictures and pronunciation that is easy to say.And it really is so helpful!I have such a passion for French and I have learnt a few vocabularies through that book.
